"Who are you?" Luffy asked Koby, a bewildered look on his face.
Koby instinctively retorted, "Who are you?!"
He produced a small knife, his hands trembling as he held it. "Are you from that ship?! Did they send you? Tell the truth! If you lie, I'll… I'll tell Ms. Alvida!"
Luffy scratched his head. "Who's Ms. Alvida?"
Rembering Alvida's teachings, Koby said, "Ms. Alvida is the most beautiful woman on the sea!"
Luffy nodded blankly. "And? Hey, I'm hungry. Any food?" He rubbed his stomach, looking pitifully hungry.
Koby was completely taken aback by Luffy.
On the sea, Alvida ordered her crew to fire cannons at the Noah's Ark, attempting to slow it down. Whether this would damage the Ark's defenses was questionable, but slowing it down was impossible. Ryuya wouldn't allow any cannons to hit the Ark anyway.
Ryuya told Kuina, "Leave the cannons to you."
"Yes, Master," Kuina replied instantly.
With a casual wave of her hand, Kuina deflected the incoming cannonballs with countless precisely aid slashes of sword energy.
The cannonballs exploded harmlessly in the air, creating only a puff of smoke that quickly dissipated.
Her precise control demonstrated her improved swordsmanship.
As the Noah's Ark neared Alvida's ship, Ryuya told the ship's spirit, "That's enough. Sothing's happening on that ship."
Ryuya watched with interest, sensing sothing was about to happen.
Seeing her ship slowing down, Alvida was overjoyed. They weren't pursuing her anymore!
"Hahahaha! I am truly the most beautiful woman in the world! Everyone's hearts flutter when they see !"
Just as she thought this, chaos erupted from the cabin. Koby ran out, followed by Luffy.
Ryuya smirked, seeing Luffy. He hadn't expected to encounter Sanji as White Dove, then Zoro as Zero, and now Luffy.
Was he witnessing the Straw Hats' future encounters? But with his interference, he doubted the Straw Hats would et as they did in the original story. Nami and Robin, now part of his crew, wouldn't join them.
Luffy erged from the cabin as if it were his own ship, staring in amazent at the Noah's Ark.
"Whoa! This ship is huge! I wish I had one like this!"
Luffy's appearance shocked everyone. The distance between the ships was increasing, so Alvida relaxed her guard.
She asked Koby, "You went to throw away the barrels, right? How did this guy get here?"
Koby trembled, "Ms. Alvida, please listen! This man jumped out of a barrel! I don't know how he got in there!"
"Is that so?" Alvida looked at Koby coldly, but didn't press further, believing he wouldn't lie.
She ordered, "Since he's here, let's teach him a lesson! Get him!"
Everyone surrounded Luffy. Ryuya and Kuina watched from the Noah's Ark.
The pirates lunged at Luffy, their blades flashing. Just as they were about to strike, Luffy grinned, "Heh."
He stretched his arm back, then forward, extending it to grab the mast. He retracted his arm, pulling himself away from the pirates' attacks.
Then, like a whip, he lashed out with his arm, striking the pirates. It was surprisingly fast; few pirates reacted in ti.
"Aaah!"
"What kind of monster is this?!"
"So scary! He's a freak!"
Alvida watched Luffy, "You… you're a Devil Fruit user?!"
Luffy grinned, showing his teeth, "Oh~ You know about Devil Fruits? I ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi!"
Alvida glanced back at the Noah's Ark, now far away. She could escape. First, she'd deal with Luffy.
She raised her massive club, approaching Luffy.
"Kid, I've seen a few Devil Fruit users. You won't scare !"
