Answering the Den Den Mushi, Ryuya smiled, "Hero, what do you need?"
"Hero? I'm just an old man, hahaha!"
Even Garp felt his face redden. The Navy's hero was Admiral White Dove Ryuya! There was no place for him.
"Your ti at Marineford is up. I'm going back to the Four Blues, and I thought I'd take you with . My grandson wants to et you!"
Garp's grandson was Luffy. Ryuya knew this. But a grandson wanting to et him was a pretext. Garp probably wanted Luffy to train under Ryuya.
Ryuya was about to refuse when the system sounded.
[Ding! Check-in mission: Foosha Village. Reward: Devil Fruit Awakening. Ti remaining: 15 days.]
Perhaps because Marineford was far from Foosha Village, the system gave 15 days. The ti was still tight.
"I'd like to et the hero's grandson. He must be exceptional!"
Garp rubbed his nose, embarrassed. He knew his grandson's character: always wanting to be Pirate King! Garp wouldn't allow it. He hoped that seeing Ryuya's strength, Luffy would want to beco a Marine!
After discussing preparations, Ryuya boarded Garp's dog-head ship. This was Garp's special ship, a symbol of the Navy. Old pirates knew what it represented. Ryuya went alone.
On the ship, he saw Garp in his dog-head hat. "White Dove, let's go!"
Ryuya nodded. He liked Garp's straightforwardness.
Ten days passed! Finally, they reached the East Blue. With five days left, Ryuya wasn't worried.
"Admiral Garp, that's Baratie. It's supposed to be good. Should we go?" Ryuya didn't call Garp "Hero," relieving Garp.
"Okay, let's go." Garp asked his n, "Anyone want to try East Blue cuisine?" They shook their heads. They wouldn't question their superiors.
Seeing their lack of interest, Garp said, "Let's go, Ryuya." Garp put his arm around Ryuya's shoulder. Like brothers, they watched the ship approach Baratie!
anwhile, Baratie's chef saw the dog-head ship and panicked, rushing inside. "Sir! The Navy's here! Should we hide?"
"Hide? I'm Wapol, the Gluttony King of the Grand Line! The Navy? They should hide from !" The large man continued eating, boasting.
"But a fight will destroy the restaurant!" The chef panicked. They lacked the power to remain neutral. Preventing a fight was impossible. He thought the pirate would leave, but Wapol wasn't intimidated.
The chef rushed to the kitchen to tell Zeff. Only the Grand Line veteran might persuade Wapol. "Boss! The Navy's here! I warned Wapol, but he won't leave!"
The chef was too slow. Ryuya, disembarking, removed Garp's arm and entered Baratie. The aroma was strong, but not as good as Stella's cooking. Garp entered.
"Not bad, but…" Garp saw Wapol eating and his eyes widened. Then he relaxed, "A 320 million bounty Gluttony King! Unexpected in the East Blue."
Ryuya glanced at Wapol. A single, domineering look! Conqueror's Haki pressure fell upon Wapol. Wapol felt an imnse weight, crushing him, making it hard to breathe!
Zeff and Sanji erged from the kitchen, stunned!
