Just running caused the ground to tremble slightly.
"It's just an animal!"
Arlong laughed loudly and charged forward. "Its size is nothing compared to the sea beasts!"
"Arlong!"
Tiger shouted in alarm. "Co back!"
He could feel that this lion wasn't just big—it was sothing far more dangerous!
"Don't worry, big brother! I'll slice its head in half with one blow!"
Arlong leaped into the air, his vicious, serrated blade aid straight at the lion's head, ready to split it right down the middle.
"Such an idiot."
Behind the lion, the Beast Pirates sneered.
He had no idea what kind of monster he was facing.
"Hahaha!"
Arlong laughed as he swung the blade down.
The sharp, hard blade crashed into the giant lion's skull.
But.
"Impossible!"
Arlong's face suddenly changed drastically.
It's stuck!
His large sword had indeed pierced the beast's skin, but it was imdiately blocked by the muscles! It couldn't go any deeper.
What kind of monster is this—
"Roar!!"
Feeling provoked, the King of Beasts let out a furious roar. It whipped its head, sending Arlong flying, then lifted its massive paw and swatted down as if swatting a fly.

Water condensed in his palm, and with the swing of his fist, all the water was shattered into vapor, finally transforming into a powerful shockwave that rocketed toward the lion's head.
The massive beast, which had just been hit by Arlong's strike, finally felt the pain and let out a loud scream as it staggered backward.
Taking this opportunity, Tiger rushed forward, lifting the already mangled Arlong out of the large pit.
"Arlong!"
Tiger's eyes were filled with sorrow.
Just monts ago, Arlong had been full of life.
But now was not the ti for grief.
"Jinbei!"
Tiger turned and shouted, "Retreat!"
Jinbei's face was serious. "Understood, Brother Tiger."
"ROAR!!"
The beast that had been knocked back shook its head, seemingly dazed from the blow.
However, it seed to only be dizzy.
That last strike had been powerful, but it didn't seem to have caused any fatal damage.
An ordinary sea beast would have already been knocked out by that punch.
Retreat!
As Tiger had said, now was the ti to retreat.
Without hesitation, Jinbei turned and ran.
The fishn began to flee in the direction they had co from.
As long as they could get back to the sea, no one could catch them.
"ROAR!!"
The beast had recovered from Jinbei's previous blow and, in a fit of rage, roared and chased after them.
anwhile, the Beast Pirates had already made contact with those above.
"Lord Ian! They've started heading back the way they ca, but they don't seem like ordinary pirates. The one leading them... It seems to be the fishman, Fisher Tiger!"
"You said, Fisher Tiger?"

Tiger and the others didn't understand what was soaring above them at that mont, but they quickly realized that this was an even more terrifying presence than the beast they had just fought.

The sharp sound of things cutting through the air rang out.
Jinbei looked up and saw "eggs" falling from these iron birds toward them?
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
The next mont, a series of violent explosions erupted just behind them, and brilliant fireworks lit up the dim wilderness.
The powerful shockwaves from the explosions sent the fishn flying through the air.
Tiger, covered in dirt and dust, raised his head. The iron bird was still circling in the sky, and at this mont, his eyes were filled with rage. "It's a weapon of the Beast Pirates! Run! Head into the forest!"
Only in the forest would they be safe!
The fishn also realized this and without hesitation, they rushed into the dim forest, continuing to move towards the coast.
Once they reached the sea, the Beast Pirates would be powerless against them!
The screech of the iron bird still echoed overhead, making every fishman uneasy.

"Let's get out of here first and co up with a plan!" Tiger said.

However, after entering the forest, the weapons stopped their bombardnt.
Perhaps they didn't want to damage the forest.
This was a good thing, allowing the anxious fishn to breathe a little easier.
Soon, they reached the edge of the forest.
And beyond the forest... the sea!
Now, all they had to do was jump into the water, and no matter how powerful the flying machines were, they couldn't touch them.
But when the pirate at the front reached the coast and was about to jump, he froze.
Then he scread, "Tiger-sama!!"

On top of one of the sea beasts, a tall young man looked down at them.
"We've been waiting, Sun Pirates!"
