"Take them down!"
Drake yelled.
He felt the flas in his chest surging up his windpipe, threatening to burst out through his nostrils, mouth, and even his eyes!
In this mont, he only felt an unprecedented sense of exhilaration!
Violence—so this is what makes people feel this way?
The two of them instantly joined the fray with a group of pirates.
Then—
"I'm coming to help!!"
A slightly immature voice rang out. Drake turned around and saw Sanji stumbling as he rushed toward them.
"Don't co over! Sanji! You're too young for this!"
Drake obviously didn't want a six-year-old involved in the fight.
However—
"I have this!"
Sanji pressed a black canister his father had given him against his belly button.
"Oh!!"
Even in the heat of battle, Drake's eyes imdiately lit up.
"That's so cool!"
Law, too, exclaid in earnest admiration.
Sanji had already donned a black battle outfit and was yelling as he charged forward, "Don't think you can hurt my friends!"
Friends, huh?
Drake paused for a mont.
In his seventeen years of life, the concept of "friends" had almost never existed for him.
Friends, huh?
Later.
"It was our mistake!"
Bruised and battered.
Drake looked at the pirates who were bowing respectfully before them and apologizing. A strange feeling stirred inside him.
"Looks like Ian-sama really chose the right person! That person certainly didn't make a mistake in their choice!"
The pirates, who had been loudly threatening to cause trouble just monts ago, were now filled with respect.
Is this the way the Beasts Pirates survive?
No.
This is the way of survival in this world.
But, we clearly beat you guys up, yet all you're talking about is Ian? Do you worship him that much?
"Shut up."
Drake said coldly.
"Yes!"
A few pirates scrambled to run out in fear, but the floor of the bathhouse was slippery. Two of them slipped and fell, and like a bowling ball, they knocked everyone down.
"Ha!"
Drake heard a laugh.
Turning his head, he saw Law covering his mouth, trying hard to maintain his poker face.
"Law, I didn't know you could laugh!"
Although Sanji was wearing his combat gear and hadn't been seriously hurt, his stamina had been drained, and he could only sit on the floor at that mont, looking surprised.
"I don't laugh."
Law kept his serious expression. "My heart has long since died. What remains is the fla that will burn this world to ashes! I am the destroyer of the world!"
Drake paused for a mont.
Then he looked down at Sanji.
The two, who were about eleven or twelve years apart in age, locked eyes.
Then…
"Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Both of them burst into laughter at the sa ti.
Drake couldn't help but say, "Law, don't you feel ashad saying sothing like that?"
Law pressed his lips together.
He endured.
He forced himself to endure.
He endured even harder.
But, how could he stand sothing so embarrassing?
"You two are not allowed to laugh!!"
Law shouted.
Of course, they laughed even louder.
But, Law had beco much more cheerful.
Drake, laughing as well, thought to himself.
Was it because Ian said he would definitely heal him?
Whether he could heal him or not aside, Drake, after spending so much ti with him, had confird that Ian was at least very kind to his own people. He truly was a man worth trusting.
It might sound strange to say that about a boy nearly five years younger than him.
But that was just the way it was.
Because even he had already been changed by him.
Ian the Skyfire was indeed a remarkable person.
The next day, after a fulfilling breakfast, Drake was preparing to continue his training.
"Law, let's go."
Suddenly, he heard Ian's voice.
Go?
Where to?
Drake was puzzled when Ian spoke again, "It's ti to treat your illness."
Drake froze for a mont, then quickly looked at Law, who was completely stunned.
Soon after, Drake was at the dock, watching as Ian and the others boarded the ship and set off.
Wait, isn't Ian just such a great guy?
It had been less than two weeks since they returned to Onigashima, and now they were setting sail again just to treat Law's illness?
The Golden Dragon once again sailed out of its harbor, leaving Wano behind.
However, this ti, in addition to the usual crew mbers—Ian, Yamato, and Jack and Black Maria—there was also Law on board.
Of course, this voyage wasn't just for Law's treatnt.
Or rather, that was the secondary goal. The primary mission was to head to Fish-Man Island.
Vegapunk had once said that the world would eventually sink into the deep sea. While no one knew when that day would co or in what form, it wouldn't hurt to first seek out fishn who could move freely underwater.
Law stood on the deck, feeling the sea breeze. His expression was sowhat uneasy. Unable to hold it in, he turned his head and looked at Ian, who was casually sitting at the railing, fishing with a rod.
"Ian, do you really think my illness can be cured?"
Law had considerable dical talent, after all, his father was a doctor.
He'd read through many dical books and had confird that his disease was incurable.
Even though Ian said he could cure him, Law found it hard to believe.
"Even Doctor Judge must have been helpless against my disease."
"The world is vast, Law," Ian said calmly. "When dicine and science fail, leave it to the Devil Fruits."
"Devil Fruits?"
Law stared at Ian in confusion.
"The Operation Fruit. That fruit can absolutely cure you."
Ian continued, "But I don't know where it is at the mont."
According to the original tiline, it would still be nearly two years later the Operation Fruit would appear.
Law's expression imdiately darkened.
"You don't even know what you're talking about!"
"So, we're going to find the second Devil Fruit, or should I say, the Devil Fruit user?"
"User?"
Law instinctively asked, "What kind of ability?"
"Heal-Heal Fruit user."
Ian explained, "The Heal-Heal Fruit she possesses can cure any injury or illness in the world."
"Cure all injuries and illnesses?"
Law's expression turned serious. "How is that possible? Doesn't that make it a universal redy?"
Don't believe it?
Didn't you wonder who healed your hand after it was severed in the original story?
Although, to be honest, Ian wasn't entirely sure.
When it cos to healing injuries and illnesses, does that only cover physical wounds? What about diseases?
And what about diseases like the ones Law suffers from, caused by generations of accumulated toxins?
Well, even if the Heal-Heal Fruit can't directly cure that, didn't Judge say that if they scrape through Law's bones, it could be healed?
That's where the Heal-Heal Fruit could co in handy—ensuring Law survives the process of having his bones scraped.
Ian casually said, "This is what a Devil Fruit is, kid."
However, even if the Heal-Heal Fruit can't help, Ian wasn't too worried.
As he ntioned, there are plenty of things in this world that can heal Law.
Not to ntion the Operation Fruit, what if the Suck-Suck Fruit can separate the toxins in Law's body? Couldn't the Chop-Chop Fruit work too?
And if none of these Devil Fruits work, there's always sothing called pure gold that could extend Law's life indefinitely.
So, what's there to panic about?
"Really?"
Law cautiously sniffed, his eyes filled with hope.
He was only eleven years old, and of course, he didn't want to die—no matter what.
Especially since he still hadn't had his revenge!
The World Governnt, the Navy, and those countries that had destroyed Flevance and killed his loved ones—none of them would escape!
"So, Ian!"
Sitting next to Ian, the usually calm Yamato was clearly agitated, even while trying to fish. She nudged Ian with her shoulder. "Where are we going next?"
"Dressrosa!"
The land of love and passion, Dressrosa.
That nickna alone was enough to make one's imagination run wild.
