[Edited.]

The sea waves were crashing unusually, and the sky had lost its luster due to the black clouds gathering on the horizon. The annoying sound of thunder was relentless, while intermittent flashes of lightning lit the way now and then. Amid this fierce mariti storm, there was a semi-destroyed ship sailing quietly, but if you looked closely, you would find many corpses scattered across the battered deck.

Among those bodies lay the corpse of a young man who appeared to be in his pri. However, the sea does not distinguish between the young and the old.

Suddenly, the "dead" man opened his eyes!

"Where am I?" A confused voice erged from the young man with blue hair.

"Damn... My mories are a bit hazy..." He rose from the bloodstained wooden floor and looked around.

Confusion was evident on the young man's face, and he had no idea what had happened to him. "I rember taking a bullet straight to the head during the battle against the enemy army. So, didn't I die?"

This young man was nad Ren, and he had been a soldier in his previous life. While executing a special operation with his team, the enemy had set a trap for him. After all of his team mbers were killed, he - the commander - was trapped until he was shot in the head after holding out for ten minutes.

"I don't know what's going on, but I'm still alive, at least for now..."

Ren stood up and assessed his condition. He found himself surrounded by a pile of decaying corpses, and a foul odor perated the air. Although seeing dead bodies and slling blood was not strange to him as a soldier, he felt uncomfortable being in the sa place as these corpses.

So, he quickly decided to clean the ship and threw the bodies into the sea. After half an hour, he had disposed of all the bodies, which numbered in the dozens.

"What's with this turbulent weather?" The storm continued to rage, showing no signs of abating.

"Anyway, I need to clean myself up a bit and change my clothes."

Ren was filthy, and the sll of blood emanating from his body, mixed with sweat and remnants of dirt, made him extrely uncomfortable. His clothes were torn and unfit for wearing.

He entered the ship's cabin and imdiately felt the warmth inside, a stark contrast to the cold surface battered by rain and storms.

He found himself in a place resembling a bathroom, washing his body with a bucket of cold, pure water that seed to be the only source available. Ignoring the biting cold of the water, he thought aloud, "Given my current situation, these dead must be pirates, and the pirate flag I saw earlier confirms that."

"Although this might sound silly, I'm in another world. These old ships haven't existed on Earth for centuries!"

Ren sighed as he recalled the fan fiction he used to read during his holidays. He had enjoyed his ti reading manga and novels, gaining so knowledge about such scenarios that the main characters often found themselves in those stories.

After finishing cleaning himself, he searched the ship for usable clothes, and fortunately, he found so garnts that looked relatively clean. He dusted off the accumulated gri, put them on, and felt warmth returning to his body gradually.

After that, he looked for anything he could use to ascertain his new world. Although he already had an idea in mind, he wasn't completely sure yet.

His attention was drawn to several papers and docunts placed on a wooden desk in the captain's room.

The papers were posters bearing pictures of individuals Ren felt strangely familiar with. Ren cald his racing heart and grabbed one of the posters, then read aloud:

"Alvida."

"Dead or Alive."

"5,000,000 Berries."

"So my guess was correct after all... I've been reborn in the One Piece world!"

"Damn it..."

Ren felt a wave of anxiety wash over him as he realized which world he had transitioned into or been reborn in. He didn't specifically know what had happened to him, but that was not what occupied his thoughts now.
