ruem, the Demon King, his body radiating demonic green Nen, stood in midair as though gravity itself bowed to his will. His eyes glimred with predatory amusent.
Shamrock, God Knight of the World Governnt, bloodied but unbowed, held his massive Cerberus Sword ready, its three spectral heads snarling around him, protecting their master.
Both combatants' auras twisted and flared, turning the atmosphere heavy, like an invisible force pressing down on the world itself.
ruem's hand rose, fingers curling into a claw.
"Abyss."
A vortex of crimson-black Nen energy spiraled in his palm. It expanded rapidly, becoming a monstrous claw-shaped wave of dark energy. The sheer heat and pressure caused the ocean below to boil.
Without hesitation, Shamrock roared back:
"Holy Knight Slash!"
A radiant cross-shaped sword wave burst from his Cerberus Sword, the spectral hounds howling as their energies fused into the slash. Blinding white-gold light clashed against the crimson darkness.
When the two attacks collided, the world itself seed to scream.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A titanic explosion erupted between them, the resulting shockwave splitting the sea for kiloters. Water rose into the sky like a reversed waterfall as the blast's impact cratered the ocean surface, sending hurricanes of wind in every direction.
Voidreign Kingdom, even from ten kiloters away, felt the tremor ripple through the land.
Mihawk narrowed his eyes.
"Monstrous..."
Taunt and Counter
Through the smoke and chaos, ruem erged first, grinning.
"You're strong, but too fragile." He gestured at Shamrock, whose armor was cracked, blood trickling from his mouth.
But then, before ruem's eyes, the wounds sealed. Muscle and flesh knitted back together with eerie speed. A faint halo-like glow shimred around Shamrock.
"Immortalized," ruem mused. "Ah... now it's getting interesting."
Shamrock smirked, wiping blood from his lips.
"An ant should know its place."
Suddenly, ruem vanished from where he stood — no sound, no warning. Pure predatory instinct made Shamrock react. Without looking, he swung his Cerberus Sword behind him.
CLAAANG!
Sparks erupted as ruem's claws clashed with the sword. The Demon King's smile widened.
Supre Technique: Cerberus' Judgnt
"Enough warm-up." Shamrock whispered.
The Cerberus Sword howled, the three spectral hounds circling faster until they fused into one colossal, demonic dog with six burning eyes.
"Supre Technique — Cerberus' Judgnt!"
The giant spectral Cerberus lunged at ruem, jaws open, devouring light, wind, and sea mist as it went. Its fangs radiated sword energy so dense the very air scread.
ruem grinned.
"Perfect."
The sky dimd. The storm clouds twisted into an enormous whirlpool in the heavens. The sea grew deathly still. Even the Sea Kings lurking in the abyss quailed in terror, their colossal forms diving deep, fleeing sothing older than nightmares.
ruem raised his hand.
"Demon King Domain."
A chilling darkness expanded across a 5-kiloter radius. Within it, light itself seed to bleed away. The wind died. The ocean stopped moving. Ti felt suspended.
And then... the Eye appeared.
A massive, bloodshot, vertical eye ford in the sky — cracked, ancient, and filled with writhing black veins. It gazed down upon the battlefield as if overseeing a dood world.
Its gaze alone made the air freeze. The sea's surface turned mirror-still.
Around the arena of darkness, invisible, skeletal hands reached up from the waters. Whispering voices in forgotten tongues slithered through the mist.
"Take... his... soul..."
"Devour... the righteous..."
"Forget... who you are..."
Even Shamrock, hardened warrior of countless wars, felt his mind assaulted.
His vision blurred. His heart skipped.
He clenched his sword tighter, gritting his teeth.
"Horrifying technique..."
The specters of fallen warriors circled him, faces he knew — comrades from the past, allies lost in ancient battles. Their hollow eyes accused him, their mouths whispering secrets he long buried.
"You failed us, Shamrock."
"Join us... in the abyss..."
ruem's voice ca like a hiss in the dark.
"This is my domain. Here, I tear apart not your body, but your spirit."
The Counterstrike: Holy Light Judgnt
Shamrock roared, his Conqueror's Haki flaring like a supernova. Purple and gold lightning exploded from him, tearing apart the phantoms.
"I am the God Knight Shamrock!"
"I fear no demon — no mory — no abyss!"
He stabbed his Cerberus Sword into the sea. A pillar of light erupted, a holy beacon splitting the darkness.
"Holy Light Judgnt!"
The spectral Cerberus above lunged at the Demon King Eye in the sky, jaws open, devouring the darkness. Its fangs clamped down on the massive eye.
The sky scread.
The eye burst in a flood of black blood, raining down like tar.
Final Exchange
ruem, now face-to-face with Shamrock, lunged.
"Demon Lord's Claw — Abyssal Rend!"
Shamrock countered.
"God Knight's Verdict!"
Their final clash erupted in a blinding explosion, light and darkness surging in equal asure. The ocean split open, a bottomless chasm yawning as both attacks t.
As the light faded and the darkness receded, the battered forms of both titans hovered above the ruined sea.
Shamrock coughed blood but remained standing, his armor fractured.
ruem's grin never left his face.
"You lasted longer than I thought... God Knight."
Shamrock smiled grimly.
"You'll fall... before my king's will."
And then, the sea began to quake again — a new presence approaching.
Both warriors turned toward the new disturbance.
