Recalling the Dog into the Animal Path's summoning space, Chiga glanced at the giant bird trembling beside him, wondering how to deal with this creature.

There was also a bird-type summoning beast in the Animal Path, but it wasn't as large as this one. Judging by the attack it had launched at Chiga, its strength was quite impressive. Perhaps it had grown stronger after devouring those pirates.

The giant bird seed to sense that its fate lay in Chiga's hands. A submissive look appeared on its avian face. It stretched its neck low and pressed its head to the ground in surrender.

Seeing that the giant bird was unexpectedly sensible, Chiga found it amusing. Stroking his chin, he muttered,

"Very well, I'll let you beco my summoning beast."

He walked to the bird's head, examined it, and said,

"You're clumsy and foolish. From now on, I'll call you Rookie."

Rookie chirped twice, apparently unbothered by the new na.

Chiga stared into Rookie's eyes and activated the Animal Path's power. Rookie's massive eyes transford into Rinnegan. From that mont on, Rookie had beco Chiga's summoning beast.

Patting Rookie's head, Chiga ordered it to ascend into the sky while he stayed behind.

Looking back at the small island, Chiga bent down and pressed his palm to the ground.

"This place has no reason to exist anymore."

The mont the words left his mouth, the entire island began to tremble. Cracks rapidly spread across its surface, glowing with blinding white light.

With a thunderous explosion, the small island burst apart and vanished from the sea without a trace.

Hovering upward, Chiga landed atop Rookie, who was already circling in the air.

Letting out a high-pitched screech, Rookie flew in the direction of the Six Paths of Samsara.

anwhile, on the Marine warship, soldiers on deck noticed the giant bird approaching and quickly reported it to Kalifa and Ain. With Chiga absent, the two won were currently the highest-ranking officers onboard.

As Kalifa and Ain reached the deck, the bird had nearly arrived. Ain took a step forward, preparing to use Geppo to engage it, but Kalifa stopped her.

She shook her head, sensing that the bird was once again tied to their enigmatic superior.

Sure enough, as the bird reached the warship, it burst into a puff of smoke. Chiga descended through the dissipating cloud and landed on the deck.

Seeing him, Kalifa and Ain sighed in relief, then silently returned to their duties.

They didn't ask where the bird ca from. When it involved Chiga, nothing ever seed ordinary.

In a bar in Windmill Village...

Makino stood behind the counter, absentmindedly wiping a glass.

Not long ago, Sabo's small boat had been destroyed on orders from a Celestial Dragon, and his fate remained unknown. Luffy and Ace had been crushed by the news, barely speaking for days. Makino had been deeply worried about the two boys.

(Yeah, I know the tiline is fucked up and shit... We all know sabo should have died long ago and Luffy should be 12 or so, So don't give it a bad review cos of it.

I'm just a Tl, The book is purely for entertainnt.)

After a while, she stopped wiping, sighed softly, and thought,

"Poor Sabo... I hope Luffy and Ace are feeling a little better. They're probably still training in the forest."

A soft voice suddenly spoke,

"Bartender, a glass of orange juice, please."

"Ah! I'm sorry, I was distracted. I'll get it right away!"

Snapping back to reality, Makino smiled politely—until her eyes t the stranger's.

She froze.

His eyes were unlike any she'd ever seen. Purple, with concentric black rings and six strange tomoe in the right eye. They pulled at her awareness like a whirlpool, threatening to draw her in.

The man was Chiga. He had docked his warship nearby, changed clothes, and made his way to Windmill Village alone.

Seeing Makino staring, Chiga gave a small, polite smile.

"Is sothing wrong? Do I look scary?"

Pulled from her trance, Makino quickly bowed her head.

"S-Sorry! It's just… your eyes, they're really unique. I didn't an to stare. This one's on the house!"

"Haha, no need. Just make it, I'll pay."

"Alright!"

Makino quickly turned around and got to work. A short while later, she placed a large glass of orange juice in front of him.

Seeing that it was almost the size of a bucket, Chiga chuckled and took a few sips.

"Surprisingly good. You're quite skilled."

Makino's nervousness faded at the praise. Smiling warmly, she asked,

"Thank you, sir. You look unfamiliar. Is this your first ti in the village?"

"Yes. I'm here on soone's behalf to check in on his grandson."

"Oh? Who would that be? I know almost all the kids here."

"Monkey D. Luffy."

"Luffy?"

Makino stopped wiping the counter.

"Then you must know Grandpa Garp! Are you a Marine?"

"I am."

"May I ask your na?"

"Of course. Uchiha Chiga."

Her eyes widened, and she gasped, covering her mouth.

She knew that na. Everyone did.

The youngest Vice Admiral in Marine Headquarters. A terrifying powerhouse whose rise was rumored to be only just beginning—many said he would be an Admiral before long.

So patrons nearby who'd overheard the na looked up in awe.

Chiga was mildly surprised by her reaction. Given that Makino had known Shanks, a Yonko, her reaction seed overblown. After all, he was still just a Vice Admiral.

Curious, he asked,

"Do you know Shanks? Has he been here recently?"

Makino's face twisted in disgust. She replied coldly,

"Of course. That red-haired bastard. Luffy started dreaming of becoming Pirate King because of him!"

...Huh?

Chiga was stunned. In the ani, Makino had a close relationship with Shanks—so even speculated she had his child.

Had history changed again?

His supposed advantage of knowing the future was slipping further from his grasp.

With a sigh, Chiga rubbed his temple.

"Alright… can you tell where Luffy is now? I'd like to see him."

"He should still be in the eastern forest. He's been really down lately. I hope you can talk so sense into him. Help him forget that ridiculous dream of becoming Pirate King."

"I'll try my best…"
