Obito canceled his phasing and charged toward Chiga.

Chiga gave a faint smile, then lashed out with a kick to Obito's abdon, sending him flying backwards like a ragdoll.

The impact was bone-shattering. Obito nearly blacked out on the spot. If it weren't for the boost from the Hashirama cells in his body, the fight might have ended right then and there.

Staggering to his feet, Obito reactivated his intangibility. It gave him so comfort, a thin layer of security—false as it might be.

Even so, fear lingered in his chest. He had endured battles with monsters. His physical strength was far from lacking. But before Chiga, he was crushed. Utterly.

What had Chiga been doing all these years?

Why had he beco this strong?

Chiga looked at him with a half-smile, then spoke.

"Couldn't help yourself after all? The Uchiha Madara I know wouldn't be this shaken by a woman's tombstone."

Obito was silent for a beat, then said quietly, "How did you know who I am?"

Chiga chuckled. "Heh… I know more than just that."

Obito narrowed his eyes. "What else do you know?"

"Let's see… For starters, the Infinite Tsukuyomi."

"Nani!?"

A tremor of panic passed through Obito. His eyes widened under the mask.

That na—that secret—was known only to himself, Madara, and Zetsu. No one else should've been aware of it. Not a soul.

"You…" Obito took a step forward. "Did your Mangekyō Sharingan awaken the power to foresee the future!?"

From his point of view, there was no other logical explanation. A Mangekyō ability that revealed the path ahead—he'd heard of stranger powers. It was possible.

Chiga blinked in mild surprise. Obito's reasoning was… actually rather impressive. In fact, it was plausible enough to be true. Fan works had speculated Uchiha Fugaku possessed such an ability, and that was why he went calmly to his death.

Still, Obito would never imagine the truth—that Chiga was a transmigrator from Earth.

Chuckling to himself, Chiga shook his head and activated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Obito's pupils constricted.

The power emanating from those eyes—it was overwhelming. The flow of ocular chakra was nothing like a standard Mangekyō. In Obito's mind, it could only be one thing:

The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Obito's expression darkened.

"What else did you see?"

Chiga tilted his head. "I saw you reuniting with Rin."

Obito's eyes narrowed behind the mask. That ant… he died?

He didn't fully believe it. But a part of him—a quiet, desperate part—hoped it was true. Even in the afterlife… if Rin was there… then death wasn't sothing to fear.

Still, Obito shook his head. That was a fantasy. He didn't believe in vague hopes.

No—he would create a world where Rin lived.

The Infinite Tsukuyomi was his one and only goal. And now, Chiga, who knew everything, had beco the greatest threat to that dream.

He had to be eliminated.

Obito's gaze sharpened.

Without hesitation, his body was sucked into the Kamui space.

Chiga didn't move. Arms folded, calm and relaxed.

Behind him, the air twisted. Obito erged silently and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Got you."

The Kamui vortex activated again, and in an instant, Chiga was sucked into the dinsion.

**

Inside the Kamui space, Chiga calmly scanned his surroundings. Dim light. Jagged, protruding rock-like structures. Nothing else.

This was the Kamui dinsion shared by Kakashi and Obito. Though only Obito could enter freely, the space was essentially their private battlefield.

Obito didn't follow imdiately. He rarely did. If a target was dangerous, he would trap them inside first—then wait. Ti was his ally. Eventually, they would break.

Chiga, by all standards, was soone Obito considered "difficult."

And yet…

Obito had no idea that a war of attrition was exactly what Chiga excelled at.

His current body had long surpassed the limits of human endurance. Obito could die of old age, and Chiga would still be here, standing.

In truth, being pulled into the Kamui space had been entirely intentional.

Chiga's real goal? The spatial coordinates of this dinsion.

After leisurely taking in the scenery, Chiga activated his Rinnegan. In the next mont, he opened Yomotsu Hirasaka.

A black spatial rift appeared beneath his feet.

He stepped in—and vanished.

**

Outside, Obito was still basking in his perceived victory. He had eliminated a major threat, all too easily.

Until he heard a voice behind him.

"Yo. You haven't left yet?"

"NANI!?"

Obito spun around, shocked. Chiga was there—smiling. Calm. His Twelve Tomoe Rinnegan glowing with power.

There was no ti to question how he had escaped. Obito instinctively activated phasing again.

Chiga simply smiled.

He opened a tiny rift before him—another black hole—and thrust a fist into it.

"Gah!"

Obito doubled over, a grunt of pain escaping his lips. He clutched his abdon, retreating, clearly having been hit even while intangible.

He stared in disbelief.

"You… You have the Rinnegan!?"

Chiga didn't respond. Instead, he launched another punch—through another black portal—landing blow after blow.

Eventually, Obito collapsed.

He had no choice.

He deactivated Kamui completely, revealing his full body in front of Chiga.

Chiga approached slowly, then leaned down and removed Obito's mask.

Obito didn't resist.

He just began laughing—loud, hollow laughter.

"Hahaha… I didn't expect it. You have those eyes… Then I didn't lose unfairly."

Truthfully, Obito could have used Izanagi once more. But what would be the point? Kamui was countered. His spirit was broken. Against soone wielding the Rinnegan, escape was futile.

Tears welled in his eyes as he turned his gaze toward the nearby tombstone.

"Rin… I couldn't finish the plan. I failed. Just like always…"

He looked back at Chiga.

"What are you waiting for? Just kill already!"

But Chiga shook his head.

"It's not that easy to die. Not yet. There are so people you need to see."

Obito's eyes flashed with annoyance. "Who? Kakashi? Hmph. That useless guy—I've got nothing left to say to him."

Chiga smirked. "He's not the only one." ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ novel⟡fire

Before Obito could respond, Chiga opened a shimring Door-Door Space, and with a flick of his arm, flung Obito inside.
