Chapter 370: Robin And Carlo
Ti passed until late at night.
Leaning by the window, Robin looked over the entire Marine Headquarters. The lights across the island gradually went out, leaving only the central fortress brightly lit, not a single light turned off.
Click. Click.
The sound of a door handle turning broke the silence.
Carlo walked in, carrying so food.
Robin turned her head to look at him. His face was unfamiliar, yet his figure felt so familiar, and her expression grew complicated.
He walked to the bedside and placed the food on the small table. "How long have you been awake? You must be hungry."
The scene felt strangely familiar, and Robin fell into a brief daze.
But she quickly snapped out of it and looked at him. "Where is Sabo?"
Before she lost consciousness, Crocodile had already died. And as an enemy of the Marines, the Revolutionary Army’s Chief of Staff...
Carlo pulled out a chair and sat down. He picked up an apple and began peeling it.
"He’s dead."
Robin took a deep breath and slowly closed her eyes. Pain flickered across her face. Her worst fear had been confird.
Neither of them spoke. In the quiet room, only the soft sound of peeling echoed, and ti seed to slow down.
Yet the peel ca off quickly. When the long strip finally fell away, Carlo placed the peeled apple on the table and looked at Robin.
"Nothing you want to ask?"
She shook her head. "I did before. Not anymore."
There were many things she wanted to say, but the mont she saw him, she lost the courage to ask. Or maybe she no longer knew what to ask.
Bla ’Lorca’ for deceiving her?
She had no right.
Before eting him, her life had been nothing but constant escape. It had felt like living in hell. What right did she have to question the one who had pulled her out of that darkness?
Maybe his original intention had been to use her. But he was also the only light that ever reached her. If she thought about it that way, she was the one who had gained the most.
Carlo smiled faintly. "You’ve grown up. You’ve learned to keep things to yourself."
Robin fell silent. It wasn’t that she didn’t have questions. She just didn’t dare to ask.
Seeing that she still hadn’t recovered, Carlo stood up. "Get so rest. Eat while it’s warm, or it’ll get cold. Tomorrow, you can walk around the island. I’ve already arranged it. No one will stop you."
She looked at him. "The port too?"
He shrugged and smiled. "Of course..."
Then the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.
"No."
In an instant, it felt like blood rushed to Robin’s head. That familiar, sly side of him hadn’t changed at all.
Carlo turned his back to her and waved as he walked toward the door. "Don’t think about leaving. This is the safest place in the world. Even if everyone out there wants to capture you, they won’t be able to get in. Just stay here."
When he reached the door, Robin asked, "Aren’t you going to deal with ?"
Without turning back, he replied, "There’s no reason to. Get so rest. Good night."
Click.
The door closed, and Carlo’s figure disappeared.
Robin stared at the closed door. Her lips parted slightly, but no words ca out.
Remnant of Ohara? Devil Child? Soone who could read the Poneglyph?
The first two were false accusations. And as for the last one, ’Lorca’ could read them too. Whether she lived or died didn’t seem to matter at all.
Robin walked back to the bed and sat in the chair Carlo had just used. The food on the table slled incredibly tempting. She picked up her chopsticks and took a bite.
It was a taste she had only ever experienced again in her dreams. The familiar flavor spread across her tongue.
She couldn’t hold it in anymore. She quickly set the chopsticks down and covered her mouth as tears poured from her eyes like a broken dam.
Sitting there, Robin’s body trembled as she cried in silence.

New Marineford.
Fleet Admiral’s Office.
Sakazuki stood by the window, looking down at the island lit by scattered lights in the night.
Clack.
The office door opened, and Carlo walked in.
Sakazuki slightly turned his head and glanced at him. "Is it done?"
Carlo gave a faint smile. "Yeah. More or less."
He walked over and stood beside Sakazuki. "Let her take her ti to accept it."
His gaze passed through the window, landing on the brightly lit room at the top floor of the hospital.
Sakazuki nodded. "Start preparing."
He looked at the calm and peaceful island under the night sky.
"This war should co to an end..."

Late night.
Impel Down.
The world’s greatest prison, located in the Calm Belt of the first half of the Grand Line, was heavily fortified.
Not only were there countless beast guards, but also endless Den Den Mushi surveillance systems. Outside the prison, in the deep sea, lurked countless Sea Kings. It was known as an "impregnable fortress."
At this ti, every guard in the prison was in motion. Following a list, they escorted Devil Fruit users one by one to the Warden’s office. The stronger prisoners from the lower levels were personally escorted by the Warden, Magellan.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The sound of flesh bursting echoed again and again. Each ti it rang out, the guards stationed outside couldn’t help but tremble.
Then, headless corpses were thrown out one after another. Not a single Devil Fruit user who entered the office ca out alive.
The guards waiting outside were drenched in cold sweat, filled with fear, yet they didn’t dare delay. Working in pairs, they carried away the bodies, clearing the path for the next prisoners.
Different races, different forms, all kinds of prisoners had their heads blown apart. Blood mixed together across the floor, and with every step, a sticky layer clung beneath their boots.
The already grim underwater prison beca even more terrifying, like a haunted hell.
As more and more ability users died, the number of prisoners being escorted decreased. There were only so many of them. Aside from those missing, nearly all listed had been brought here.
Finally, after escorting the last Devil Fruit user from Level 6 into the Warden’s office, Magellan inford them and stood outside, waiting quietly.
Bang!
The familiar sound of flesh exploding rang out again. But this ti, the body wasn’t thrown out imdiately.
Magellan frowned slightly. For a mont, it felt like there was an extra presence inside the office. Then it vanished just as quickly, like an illusion.
A short while later, Bullet walked out, holding a headless corpse.
Thud.
He tossed it aside casually. "That’s the last one, Warden Magellan?"
There wasn’t a single trace of blood on him. Only the sticky stains on his boots hinted at what had happened inside.
Magellan answered seriously, "That’s all. Except for those who went missing. Everyone on the list has been brought here."
Bullet commanded, "In that case... prepare to evacuate. Gather everyone. Announce Fleet Admiral Sakazuki’s orders."
Magellan nodded. "Yes."
He imdiately ordered all personnel to assemble at the prison entrance and led Bullet outside.
Although he was the Warden of Impel Down, Bullet held the rank of Grand Admiral. His strength was also considered second only to Sakazuki.
With both rank and power completely overwhelming him, Magellan didn’t question anything Bullet did, even though the slaughter left him uneasy.
Especially since it had Sakazuki’s approval.
