Chapter 675: The Unchanging Blackbeard!
At the sa ti, Vista took out a Den Den Mushi and contacted Whitebeard.
This was sothing Pops needed to know.
For years, Whitebeard had never stopped hunting Teach. Any rumor, any trace, any whisper, they would chase it down imdiately.
And this ti, Vista had actually run into him.
...
A dozen minutes later.
"It’s so dark, hahaha..."
"Fifth Division Captain Vista, long ti no see!"
Blackbeard reached the island’s edge. He stared at the Whitebeard Pirates standing on high alert and laughed like he owned the night itself.
"We’re not friends," Vista said coldly. "So skip the greeting."
"Let’s start."
He moved to charge.
Boom, boom, boom!
Before Vista could even take two steps, cannon shells rained down and exploded across the ground, cutting off his path.
Boom!
In the sa instant, Blackbeard was already in front of him.
A fist crashed into Vista’s guard like a sledgehamr.
Vista did not even have ti to properly react before he was sent flying.
"Captain Vista." Teach grinned, teeth bared. "You really think I’m still that honest, weak, pitiful Teach from the ship?"
"I’m Blackbeard."
"The Blackbeard who killed Thatch!"
"And after I kill you, I’ll bring your hands to my father."
"Hehe... hahahaha!"
As his laughter rose, his steel claws flexed, ready to tear.
"Die, Blackbeard!"
"Kill him!"
"Protect the captain!"
The Whitebeard Pirates surged forward without hesitation.
They knew they might not be his match.
But they would not back down.
Teach did not care.
He ignored them like they were insects and went straight for Vista again.
Here, only Vista could actually threaten him.
Everyone else’s attacks were basically noise.
And besides...
Boom, boom, boom!
A violent strike slamd directly into the charging crowd.
Pirates were blown off their feet and tossed into the air.
When the wind cleared the dust and smoke, Momonosuke walked out, expression calm.
"Let clean up this trash."
He clenched a dragon claw, smiling with pure disdain.
At the sa ti, the samurai behind him drew their blades and rushed forward.
In a single clash, Vista’s squad took heavy losses.
"Teach!"
Vista forced himself forward, rage blazing. "What are you trying to do?!"
They had once shared the sa ship.
So why was he being this ruthless to his own people?
And Teach was not even talking.
He had started with killing intent from the very first breath.
"I just want to kill you," Teach said, voice almost casual.
"Then I’ll use your hands to drive your father crazy."
"And then I’ll steal my father’s Devil Fruit power."
"This was planned from the start."
Blackbeard raised his steel claws and blocked Vista’s rapier with a sharp clang.
Then he swung his left hand down.
Slash.
The claws ripped across Vista’s chest.
At the sa ti, Teach snatched the Den Den Mushi from Vista.
"I won’t give you a chance to tell your dad."
"Otherwise it won’t be a surprise."
"Now your only use is your corpse."
Teach attacked again.
He did not even activate any Devil Fruit power.
He crushed Vista with pure physical combat alone.
After all, he had scarred Shanks with nothing but skill and strength.
Beating Vista like this was easy.
Now the outco was no longer in doubt.
The best result would be achieved when Vista’s emotions reached their peak, and his corpse was delivered to Whitebeard.
That was exactly what Teach was doing.
A cat playing with its prey.
Soon, Vista’s body was covered in wounds.
Blood poured down, refusing to stop.
"Vista." Teach lifted the flask at his waist and took a long drink.
"For the sake of our past, take your own life."
"I’ll give you a dignified death."
"Suicide?" Vista laughed, breath ragged.
"Hahaha..."
"I, Vista, will splatter your blood even if I die."
"You want to kill myself? Keep dreaming!"
He raised his rapier again.
And as if he were still walking a stage, he casually scattered a handful of roses.
Even on the edge of death, the showman did not forget his flowers.
"Then die."
Teach tossed the flask aside.
Haki surged over his body as he lunged.
Bang!
Just as Blackbeard’s fist was about to pierce Vista, it was stopped by a powerful force.
"Fufufufu..."
"It looks like we showed up at just the right ti!"
A familiar voice drifted in, lazy and amused.
Doflamingo?
Teach’s eyes narrowed as he finally saw who had blocked him.
It was Doflamingo, one of the handyman squad leaders of the Dragon Hunter Pirates.
Doflamingo’s pointed loafer ca down and planted itself on Blackbeard’s fist, crushing the montum and stopping the blow completely.
He looked effortless.
Teach pulled his fist back and took a short step away.
Leaving?
No.
"Our mission is to kill you as much as possible," Doflamingo said, smiling as if it were entertainnt.
"So don’t even think about escaping easily."
As he spoke, Teach’s gaze flicked toward the sea.
A ship’s shadow cut across the water.
Then another.
And another.
In the blink of an eye, over a dozen large ships had surrounded the island.
Unless Teach escaped through a hidden passage imdiately, there was no clean way out.
But the Dark Acupoint needed ti to activate.
And while releasing it, he could still be attacked.
That ant death.
Teach’s grin returned, sharp and ugly.
"From that look on your face, you think you’ve got figured out?"
"A re Shichibukai. Even if you crawled onto the Dragon Hunter Pirates’ ship, you’re still just a forr Shichibukai."
"A lackey of the World Governnt back then dares to bark at now!"
He said it on purpose.
Testing.
Poking at Doflamingo’s limits.
"Then let’s fight," Doflamingo replied smoothly.
"Captain Vista, take a rest over there for a mont."
He stomped the ground.
In an instant, the earth turned into countless threads, surging like a tide.
They swept across the battlefield and dragged the surviving Whitebeard Pirates away from the center.
Even the bodies were moved.
Every single one was removed from the kill zone.
Bang!
When he finished, Doflamingo attacked.
The ground around Teach transford into countless cone shaped thread spikes that shot upward.
"Five colored thread!"
Doflamingo’s hand swept down.
A massive five colored line wrapped toward Blackbeard like a net.
Teach threw his arm up to block.
Bite!
The threads struck.
They looked soft, but they were harder than steel.
Worse, the force inside them was brutal.
Blackbeard was driven back several steps.
