Chapter 597: Originating from Love!

The instant the cocoon of light ford, Ryuunosuke released his Observation Haki.

But before his perception could even brush the surface, it was slapped back by an invisible force, like waves crashing against an iron reef.

"I can’t sense anything inside," Ryuunosuke said, sounding more annoyed than afraid.

"Captain, if we move now, breaking that cocoon would be easy," Gaino said, already drawing power, preparing to strike. "Should we do it?"

The situation had clearly slipped beyond anyone’s control.

And since none of them could tell what was happening inside, the safest choice was to tear it open and see what kind of monster was hiding in there.

Ryuunosuke’s expression hardened.

Getting played by Vegapunk right now would be disgusting.

A second ago, he had been confidently telling Roger and the others that he trusted Vegapunk.

If Vegapunk turned around and stabbed him at this mont, it would not just be a trap. It would be a slap across the face.

"Get ready to move..."

"Captain Ryuunosuke, this is sothing I’m leaving behind for you. I hope it helps."

Vegapunk’s voice echoed again.

And then, the massive Nirvash dropped out of the cocoon of light like a discarded shell.

"Take it!"

Ryuunosuke did not even think about what Vegapunk ant. He shot forward instantly, rushing toward Nirvash.

At the sa mont, Roger erupted with full power and charged like lightning.

The two collided in midair.

Ryuunosuke halted.

Roger was blasted back, his body thrown away by the impact.

But that single clash was enough.

Wades slipped in like a shadow, already closing in on Nirvash.

"We succeeded!"

Joy lit Wades’ face as his hand reached out, about to touch Nirvash.

Snatching sothing out of Ryuunosuke’s hands was thrilling, no matter what it was.

Boom!

The next second, Wades disappeared inside a storm of artillery fire.

"Are we really that easy to ignore?" Gaino’s voice carried a cold, mocking edge. "I was one of the earliest mbers of the Dragon Hunter Pirates, you know."

The cannon that swallowed Wades was Gaino’s Star Destroyer Cannon.

Wades had relaxed too much, forgetting the battlefield had more than one threat.

That was why he got erased by Geno’s fire without even understanding what hit him.

Geno’s power surged again, locking Nirvash inside a heavy force field.

At the sa ti, Gaino stayed alert, watching the surroundings.

The Guardians had shown up.

Adam had shown up.

But so far, none of the Evictors had revealed themselves.

There was a high chance those exiles were hiding sowhere, silently watching everything unfold.

"Uncle Roger, it’s too late," Ryuunosuke said casually, as if he were talking about a late dinner. "Give it up."

"For Ace’s sake, if you stop now, I won’t keep attacking you."

Roger steadied himself and laughed, eyes sharp.

"Give up?"

"Captain Ryuunosuke, you’ve misunderstood."

"We weren’t trying to take Nirvash. We were trying to destroy it."

"And whatever’s happening inside that cocoon, it won’t matter much to us."

"It’s just Lady Lilith’s projection. Not sothing that makes us hesitate."

As he spoke, Roger gathered his strength again, preparing to charge.

Puff puff puff...

Before Roger could move, the surrounding A T force field shattered in an instant.

Cracks raced across the barrier like glass, and then it collapsed completely.

From within the cocoon of light, a woman stepped out slowly.

"I already know how you feel," Lilith said, her voice calm, almost gentle. "And I have accepted the strength you gave ."

She erged holding an emaciated man in her arms.

Vegapunk.

No one could tell what had happened inside that cocoon in those few short minutes.

But Vegapunk’s life force was gone.

And on his face, there was a satisfied smile.

He must have gotten what he wanted.

...

A few minutes earlier.

"Child, why did you go this far?"

Lilith, dragged into the cocoon of light, glared at Vegapunk.

He had defied her will.

He had attacked her.

To Lilith, that was unforgivable.

"Lady Lilith, I know this is only your projection," Vegapunk said, not panicking at all.

He sat calmly in the air, as if they were in a quiet lab instead of a battlefield.

"But if it’s your projection, then it should still have its own independent thoughts."

"Don’t you want to know how soone can reach a level capable of killing a god, without having their will erased?"

"Kill a god?" Lilith’s eyes narrowed. "Do you even understand what a god is?"

"What you created looks decent. It’s strong."

"But compared to a god, it’s nothing."

"Even compared to us, it’s not even close."

Lilith truly lived up to her title of mother.

Even in this situation, she controlled her emotions, her expression gentle, as if she were about to soothe a stubborn child.

"Lady Lilith, we have plenty of ti," Vegapunk replied.

"This is a special space, built from my soul power and all of Nirvash’s power."

"Ti flows a hundred tis slower than outside."

"So we can talk for as long as we want."

"This is my foundation."

After he finished speaking, Vegapunk pulled out an Infinity Stone.

"Infinity Stones?" Lilith spoke smoothly, like a teacher correcting a student.

"That’s sothing Adam and I created."

"If it were the Heart of Eternity, it might be useful, but not by much."

"With just an Infinity Stone, it’s impossible to even glimpse the realm of the gods..."

Lilith stopped mid sentence.

Her expression froze.

Because the aura coming from that stone was wrong.

It was not like an ordinary Infinity Stone.

It was not even like the Heart of Eternity.

There was sothing above it.

The aura of a god had already appeared.

Was this really sothing Vegapunk could create?

"Lady Lilith," Vegapunk said softly, watching her reaction, "you sensed it too, didn’t you?"

"That’s right."

"It’s the aura of a god."

"I made it."

As Lilith stood stunned, Vegapunk raised his hand and extracted a single wisp of energy from the Infinity Stone.

God.

A terrifying pressure rolled out instantly.

That aura was the most dreadful thing Lilith could feel.

She took a step back without thinking.

And the word slipped from her lips like a reflex.

"God..."

"I created the origin of a god," Vegapunk said, stepping toward her, one step at a ti.

"I think Lady Lilith understands what that ans, don’t you?"

At this mont, Lilith could no longer maintain her previous aloof calm when facing him.

Panic flickered.

The divine essence in Vegapunk’s hand forced fear back into her heart.

"What exactly are you..."

"Be my woman," Vegapunk said bluntly, voice steady, "and this is yours."

"You..."

Lilith’s face tightened with sha and anger.

Do you even understand what you’re saying?

But the mont he confessed, Lilith’s body trembled.

She had been an existence without desire.

After all, she and Adam had been created to seize power across worlds.

Adam, driven by desire, had used his own body to create Eve.

Lilith had no partner.

Or if she did, it was Adam.

But the two were destined never to et.

So it was no different from having nothing at all.
