Book Na :- Douluo Dalu : Blue Silver Emperor Douluo

-----------------------------

Gildarts naturally refused Sakazuki’s offer. He had just arrived in this world and joined Ikki’s private Marine corps, the Shadow Division. There was no way he would change jobs so quickly.

When Sakazuki saw that Gildarts wouldn’t agree, his approach was simple: fight. He planned to use his overwhelming strength to crush his opponent and then force him to beco a subordinate. It was a solid plan, but reality was a bit more brutal.

Gildarts’ strength was beyond Sakazuki’s imagination. After more than a dozen rounds, the two were evenly matched.

What shocked Sakazuki the most wasn’t that Gildarts had the power of a Marine Admiral, but that his Haki was still at a very basic level. If Gildarts’ Haki were even two levels higher, Sakazuki might have been easily defeated.

Rembering he still had to rescue Jonathan, Sakazuki decided to retreat for now. He planned to find Gildarts again after the matter with Jonathan was resolved.

After hearing Sakazuki’s story, Ikki was stunned. He never would have imagined that Gildarts would still be a wanderer in another world.

In the Fairy Tail world, Gildarts was known as a wandering prodigal. Even after he recognized his daughter, Cana, he still wanted to roam.

The worlds of One Piece and Fairy Tail had one thing in common: many beautiful won. So it was understandable that Gildarts would want to wander around.

He was probably introducing himself as Shanks’ cousin, and it was likely that any trouble he caused would be blad on the real Red-Haired Shanks.

On a certain island in the New World, Red-Haired Shanks, who had just woken up from a night of drinking, suddenly sneezed. His crew laughed.

"Hahaha, is Miss Maginot thinking about you again, Captain?" one of them teased.

"Captain, should we go for a stroll in the East Blue?" another suggested.

Shanks waved his hand. "The seas haven’t been calm lately. We should just stay in our own territory." He then picked up his bottle and took a swig, trying to ease his hangover with more alcohol.

At the sa ti, Jonathan and Sakazuki were analyzing Gildarts.

"Sakazuki, from your description," Jonathan began, "since Gildarts was able to destroy a slave ship and free the slaves, it ans he’s a good person. And since you tried to recruit him and he refused, he’s a good person who stands his ground."

"As for where he stands, I don’t think it’s with Red-Haired Shanks. It’s more likely he’s just a wanderer who likes to explore the seas, or... he has a force behind him."

Ikki was speechless. Jonathan’s analysis was almost perfectly correct.

"Jonathan, how can I recruit him?" Sakazuki asked, frowning.

Ikki felt even more awkward. These two were trying to poach one of his people right in front of him.

Jonathan thought for a mont before answering, "For soone who values freedom, there’s a better, albeit a little... shaless way."

"What is it? Tell ," Sakazuki pressed, intrigued by the idea of using a "shaless" thod to recruit a powerhouse like Gildarts.

"Issue an official statent and a news report that Gildarts, Red-Haired’s cousin, has beco a Marine Headquarters Lieutenant General and is your subordinate.

Let’s create public opinion first. If Gildarts really has an organization behind him, the easiest way for him to prove himself would be to fight you again or directly attack the Marines."

"If he does that, it ans the organization behind him is hostile to the Marines. If he doesn’t, it ans there’s still room for discussion."

Sakazuki’s eyes lit up. Jonathan’s suggestion had given him a new perspective. He knew this thod was feasible.

What if Gildarts was a mber of the Revolutionary Army? Would it matter? The Revolutionary Army was an enemy of the World Governnt, not necessarily his enemy. His goal was absolute justice and destroying evil pirates.

Suddenly, a new question popped into his head. "What if he doesn’t care at all?"

"Then it’s even easier. You can just fight pirates in his na. At the very least, you can ensure that a strong fighter like Gildarts doesn’t beco a pirate," Jonathan explained.

"Yes, this thod will work. I’ll start it as soon as I get back!" Sakazuki declared.

Ikki listened to their entire conversation in silence. But soon, a smile appeared on his face. "Having Gildarts beco a Marine... that’s not a bad choice," he thought.

As a Marine, Gildarts would be exposed to the true darkness of this world. He was a genuinely good person, which was why he was summoned by the Justice System.

The current Sakazuki was also very different from his original self, so Ikki felt relieved that Gildarts would be following him. Even as a Marine, Gildarts would likely still be a wanderer. He simply couldn’t stay put.

After discussing how to recruit Gildarts, Sakazuki turned his attention to Ikki.

"I heard from Fleet Admiral Sengoku that you have a way to end this war. Tell your plan."

Ikki hadn’t expected Sakazuki to be the first one to ask him this directly. But he wasn’t going to hide it; everyone would find out eventually.

Ikki began to explain what had happened in the ga arena. Jonathan helped by adding that the ga was truly incredible.

"I know about the ga," Sakazuki said, his expression serious. "But you’ve forgotten one thing: the Marines are still the Marines. Even a mock war has to have a aningful purpose. We have to give the World Governnt an explanation."

"I know," Ikki nodded, his own expression turning serious. "How much longer does Whitebeard have to live?"

"If the Marines win this ga, then Whitebeard will die. And he will die in front of the entire world."

That was right. This ga had to have a clear beginning and end. The beginning was the kindness shown to Ace, and the end was Whitebeard’s death. In truth, Whitebeard didn’t have much ti left anyway. It was better for him to die fighting for his family than to waste away from illness.
