One Piece: Madness of Regret(DRAFT) Chapter 136: Volume 1 rant

Volu 1 is done. Not the best volu. Its even below average.

I could find out so many faults in it. Stuff like repetitions, bad executions, different writing style e very Chapter, Chapter didn’t connect with previous written Chapters very well, and all that.

The first Chapters were boring, confusing and a bad start, yes. But truthfully I didn’t expect much interaction for the novel. Even if I wished for more. This fanfic was more like my writing test and if I could find it in myself to write 2k words everyday. You know, make a habit and all that.

I can’t say I have made a habit of writing everyday but its much easier to write 2k words a day. At the very least, I won’t write Chapters half an hour earlier than the release ti. Almost half if not more Chapters of Volu 1, I wrote like a hour or half an hour ago. Stupid of , no doubt. But I was busy with life and all that.

As for my plan to rewrite the novel/ fanfic. I will do it very later on. Around 3 or 4th volu, that is if I am up for it that later on. Right now, I am searching for a good balance between show and tell writing style.

I had told a lot without showing anything in the early Chapters. Then I showed a lot without telling in the Cathedral part. And it sounded much better in my head then what the people liked.

And Volu 1 is so full of original concept that using it for a fanfic just doesn’t sit right with . Sure it had a bad execution and all that. But this is too original to be called a fanfic that I had to sneak in so characters from the ani to satiate my heart. So for the draft story I am not adding more original concept.

I will leave it for the official story. That is for later. Right now I would write the story just to improve my writing skills and not write the big spoilers part in this story. I will leave it for the official story.

And for Volu 2, I have planned to show the system go online and other factors. And I believe I have achieved a good balance on the show and tell part at least for now.
