The two guards were chatting and laughing, completely unaware that sothing terrifying had silently appeared before them.
"Yes!"
The humanoid IBM responded and suddenly spread its massive scythe-like claws, slashing viciously at one of the guards!
Shrrrip!
Blood splattered as five deep, vicious wounds tore across the guard's body—like a wild beast had clawed through him. He collapsed instantly, dead before he could react.
"What's going on?!"
The other guard was stunned with terror after seeing his partner suddenly fall.
He then saw a terrifying figure standing before him—humanoid, completely wrapped in bandages like a demon from hell.
Normally, IBMs are invisible, but when a human experiences intense emotional fluctuations, they beco visible.
"You…"
The guard's eyes widened in horror. He didn't even have ti to scream before the IBM's other claw swung and brutally slaughtered him as well.
Two lifeless corpses fell to the floor, blood gushing everywhere and soaking the stone.
"Your… request… has been… fulfilled…"
"Any… further… orders…?"
The IBM's hoarse voice ca out in broken rhythm. It was newly born and hadn't yet mastered human speech.
"You did great. From now on, I'll call you… Kuro."
Lance stood up from the ground and spoke to the IBM.
"Kuro… my na… Kuro… Kuro…"
It seed excited to be given a na.
"Next, we'll need to kill the guards outside… at least enough to escape first!"
"Kuro, go out and—wait, what are you doing?"
Lance was just about to order Kuro to take out the outer guards, when suddenly, Kuro lunged at the two corpses on the floor. Its bandage-covered mouth opened unnaturally wide—almost splitting its head in half—revealing razor-sharp fangs as it began to tear into the bodies!
"Urgh…"
Lance had been in this world for barely ten minutes. Being able to kill soone already showed strong ntal fortitude, but witnessing a corpse being eaten in front of him was too much. He bent over and started vomiting uncontrollably.
"Tasty… tasty… food… all… mine…"
Kuro was devouring the bodies like it had discovered the most delicious al in existence.
Blood splashed everywhere, and the corpses' internal organs—red, yellow, and white—were exposed in grotesque detail. Lance glanced again and promptly vomited even harder.
By the ti Lance was finished throwing up, Kuro had nearly devoured both bodies—only a few bones and bloody scraps of flesh remained.
"I… feel kind of hot."
At that mont, Lance noticed a surge of heat coursing through his body. He clenched his fist and realized his muscles felt tighter—his strength had clearly increased!
"Don't tell … devouring corpses actually makes stronger?!"
His eyes lit up.
He tested his strength by punching the wall. Normally, his hand would be aching—but now the pain was barely noticeable. And the wall? It had a visible dent where his fist struck.
"I really am stronger!"
Lance's heart surged with excitent.
If killing enemies and having Kuro eat them could strengthen him—and if he himself was now an immortal Ajin—then the potential power he could reach would be terrifying!
"Diamante… Doflamingo… just you wait. I'll beco stronger soon—and I'll take your heads."
Lance's eyes turned cold, filled with chilling hatred.
To imprison and execute him just for a bump, without giving him any chance to explain… Fine, then he would let his strength do the talking!
You want to kill ?
Then we'll see who survives in the end!
"Kuro, want to eat more of that delicious food?"
Lance looked over at Kuro.
"Kuro… wants…"
Kuro nodded quickly, like a child who had just been promised candy—eager for the next bite.
"If you want more, then do exactly as I say. Open that door, and kill everyone you see on the other side."
"Leave none alive."
Lance's voice was icy cold.
"Delicious… wonderful… food… here I co…"
Kuro imdiately rushed forward with its long legs and slamd open the iron door.
Outside, two ard guards were posted by the entrance. Hearing the door burst open, they instinctively looked inside.
"He's not dead!"
"That guy's still alive! Look—they're dead!"
Inside the room, only Lance remained standing. He stared at them coldly, his feet surrounded by what was left of two corpses—nothing but bones and a few scraps of flesh. What the hell had happened in there?!
But the guards didn't hesitate. They raised their rifles, aiming to shoot Lance on the spot.
However, before they could even lift their guns, two invisible scythe-like claws tore into their skulls, killing them instantly. Blood and brain matter splattered everywhere.
"Food… food… it's mine… all mine…"
Kuro didn't hesitate—he opened his mouth wide and revealed those grueso fangs, ready to devour the fresh corpses.
"Wait, Kuro!"
Lance suddenly called out to stop him.
Kuro froze. Though its face showed no expression, the way it tilted its head slightly in confusion made it clear—it didn't understand why its master had stopped it from eating.
But even if it didn't understand, Kuro remained loyal and obeyed without question, resisting the temptation and standing still for orders.
"They've got so useful things on them. We can't waste that."
Lance rummaged through the guards' pockets and found two packs of cigarettes, a few thousand Berries, and a rifle.
"Sorry, Kuro—you were eating too fast earlier and probably swallowed all the stuff those other two had. This ti, I had to stop you or you'd eat everything again."
"All set. Go ahead and eat. There's plenty more 'delicacies' waiting for us out there."
Lance lit a cigarette, exhaled slowly, and curled his lips into a deadly smirk.
