Clang!

A burst of sparks flew as the scimitar stopped just an inch away from Lucifer, blocked by a transparent shield around his neck. Despite baby5's efforts, she couldn't force the blade any closer.

"Calm down, maid. How about you just slice so roast at for instead?"

Lucifer kept his composure, his face still carrying a sunny smile.

Imdiately, baby5's expression shifted again, and she obediently went to cut the at.

She constantly alternated between rage and compliance, transitioning smoothly from one emotion to the other.

Cavendish was stunned, finally understanding why Lucifer decided to keep baby5 around. She was surprisingly easy to handle—just a few words were enough.

One could say that dealing with baby5 didn't require the power of his Word Spirit Fruit; anyone with a bit of persuasion could manage her.

"Alright, from today onward, you'll be the maid of the Nether Pirates."

After finishing his al, Lucifer gave his captain's order.

"Don't be ridiculous! I'm part of the Donquixote Family. I won't join your pirate crew!" baby5 retorted defiantly. "Besides, the Young Master will find you soon, and when he does, you're dead!"

She no longer tried to attack Lucifer; she knew that the gap in strength was far too wide. Now, her only hope was that the Young Master would arrive soon and take revenge for Diamanti and the others.

"Who knows what will happen in the future? When I say you're my maid, you are," Lucifer replied with a smirk. "Now, I need you to serve as my maid. Do you agree?"

"Yes, I...I agree..."

Halfway through her sentence, baby5 froze. She had actually agreed.

She wanted to slap herself—why couldn't she refuse anyone?

"Hahaha, you're quite the character," Lucifer laughed, feeling confident that he'd made the right choice in bringing baby5 aboard. Although her combat abilities were lacking, as a maid, she was the ideal fit.

"Cavendish, set sail for the next destination," he commanded, setting his glass down.

"And where's that?"

"Mogu Town—to find another partner."

On the shore of Crescent Island, three Marine warships were docked, and a team of Marines moved inland, venturing to the island's center. The sight before them was one of devastation; the entire town had been consud by flas.

So charred wood still smoldered, releasing black smoke into the air. The island reeked of blood.

"Admiral Kizaru, we've searched the area. The entire Crescent Island is nearly destroyed; no signs of pirates remain. They seem to have been wiped out!"

A Marine colonel approached Kizaru, reporting respectfully.

"Well~, quite terrifying, isn't it? Destroying an entire island," Kizaru muttered, his usual laid-back expression still on display.

"Any estimate on how many pirates died?"

"I can't provide an exact number, but it's estimated that there were at least tens of thousands," the colonel replied solemnly.

"Tens of thousands? It seems we arrived a bit late."

Kizaru glanced out at the distant sea, his gaze uncharacteristically somber.

He had led this team to pursue Lucifer, following clues that led them to Crescent Island, but they had missed him by a hair.

Lucifer was gone, leaving behind a ruined, desolate town. The entire area had been flattened, with burn marks and deep craters scattered everywhere, evidence of massive explosions.

Kizaru recognized the marks instantly as those left by a flash explosion, confirming Lucifer as the perpetrator.

After observing the scene, Kizaru was convinced that Lucifer's mastery over the power of light was on par with his own.

Although he wasn't sure of Lucifer's Haki abilities, it was clear that Lucifer had beco a super-powerful pirate, a threat comparable to Marine Admirals.

"Report this to headquarters, and instruct all Marine branches to monitor Lucifer's whereabouts closely."

"Also, suggest to Naval Headquarters that Lucifer's bounty be increased," Kizaru ordered, his face showing rare seriousness.

"Understood, Admiral."

The Marine colonel saluted before calling in the report.

As the colonel spoke into the phone, Kizaru's usual casual expression returned.

"Such a hassle... That kid's already far away. Looks like I'll lose my vacation to chase after him again."

"And who knows if I'll even catch him. If I can't, I'll be stuck doing overti every day."

"Sengoku, that stingy old man... Not paying overti! When I get back, I'll demand a raise."

"Otherwise, maybe I'll just resign."

"I really envy Vice Admiral Garp—fishing all day without any real work and still getting a fat paycheck."

"If I'd known this position required working 24/7, I'd never have agreed to beco an Admiral."

Kizaru's gaze drifted out to the distant sea, his mind filled with mixed thoughts.

To the Marine soldiers around him, however, Admiral Kizaru appeared fully focused on the mission of chasing down pirates.

His eyes were unwavering and filled with determination.

Seeing his steadfast deanor, many Marines silently resolved to follow Admiral Kizaru's example—working tirelessly to catch pirates without rest, emulating his unyielding dedication.
