In the ruins of Onigashima, Lucifer sat atop a jagged rock, his gaze cold and unyielding. Beneath his feet lay Kaido's lifeless body, a testant to the battle's grim conclusion.
Boom!
The Red Earl Ryder flung the gravely injured King (Jhin) at Lucifer's feet with a resounding thud. Behind him, Queen (Quinn) lay sprawled on the ground, unconscious and battered like a lifeless dog.
Enel, Pizarro, Shiryu, and the others had rounded up the remaining Beast Pirates' cadres and dragged them before Lucifer.
Fuzifu and Sasaki knelt, their bodies broken and their breaths labored. Black Maria had also succumbed to her injuries, slipping into unconsciousness. Katrin, jealous of Maria's beauty, had shown no rcy. Maria's face was swollen and bruised beyond recognition—a cruel display of Katrin's wrath.
In a corner, Page One and Ulti knelt trembling, Choate standing ominously over them. Each hiccup from Choate sent shivers through their spines, rendering them too terrified to even glance up.
All the core mbers of the Beasts Pirates had been subdued.
Lucifer's voice broke the silence as he addressed King, who knelt defiantly before him.
"How about it, King? Will you surrender?" Lucifer asked, his tone calm yet nacing. "If you want to live, swear your loyalty to . Your strength is remarkable—it would be a sha to waste it here."
King's response was resolute, his voice unwavering.
"No, I refuse!"
He glared at Lucifer, his words carrying the weight of his conviction.
"Winner takes all. If you want to kill , then do it. I've lost, and I accept my fate."
King was a warrior to the end. For him, defeat was not an excuse to abandon his principles. Death held no fear for him, not even now.
Lucifer smirked, his expression laced with a mix of amusent and malice.
"Have you truly thought this through? If you die here, the Lunarian race will face total extinction."
At the ntion of his people, King's face darkened, his defiance faltering ever so slightly.
Long ago, the Lunarians, once revered as "Gods" of the Red Line, had been slaughtered by the Celestial Dragons during their conquest of the Kingdom of Gods. Now, King was the last of his kind. His death would an the complete erasure of the Lunarian race from existence.
"Don't you want revenge?" Lucifer's voice turned sharp, like a blade cutting through King's resolve. "Don't you want to see the Celestial Dragons brought to their knees? Join , and you will have that chance. Together, we will reclaim the glory of the Lunarians and avenge your people."
Lucifer's words struck deep, stirring the embers of vengeance buried within King's heart.
For a mont, King wavered. His gaze shifted to Kaido's corpse, his emotions a storm of conflict. But then, with steely resolve, he answered:
"No, I still refuse."
King's voice was firm, his decision unshakable.
"Pirates, too, have honor. My loyalty belongs to my captain. Now that he's gone, I will follow him into death. Do it—strike down!"
Lucifer tilted his head, his expression unreadable. "You're turning down your chance at vengeance?"
King stared back with unwavering determination.
"I don't need to act. You will avenge !" he declared, his voice filled with an almost prophetic certainty. "Your ambition will carry you to battle against the Celestial Dragons. Even without , they will face the reckoning they deserve."
Lucifer chuckled softly, his smile playful but chilling.
"Did you see the future?"
"No," King replied, a faint smile gracing his lips. "I see fate. With a man like you, the Celestial Dragons' reign is dood. The Lunarians and every race crushed under their rule will see justice. Lucifer, do it. Kill . My death will fuel the fire of your vengeance."
Lucifer's smile grew sharper. "Well said. Farewell, King."
Thud!
Lucifer's blade pierced King's chest, the sword driving straight into his heart.
King coughed up blood, but even in his final monts, he laughed—a man who embraced death without fear or regret.
The mighty King fell, his body crumpling to the ground in a lifeless heap. Even in death, his lips bore a faint, defiant smile.
Ding!
The system's voice echoed in Lucifer's mind:
"Host has killed Kaido the pirate and earned 330,000 kill points."
With King's death, the total kill points Lucifer had accumulated soared to 1,586,000.
"What a pity."
Lucifer gazed at Jhin's lifeless body, shaking his head in regret.
Such power, such talent. He truly desired to bring Jhin under his command.
But Jhin's unwavering loyalty to Kaido and his rigid sense of honor left no room for surrender. He chose death over submission.
"Rebirth."
Lucifer turned his attention to Jhin's corpse and activated the power of his Word Fruit, summoning the ability once held by the Fla Calamity.
Monts later, a Devil Fruit materialized in his hand.
Zoan · Ancient Species · Dragon Dragon Fruit · Pteranodon Form.
Every Zoan-type fruit is formidable, and the ancient variants are even more so—especially one that bestows the power of flight. This was the first ancient flying species fruit Lucifer had obtained, making it an invaluable addition to his arsenal.
anwhile, Fuzifu, Sasaki, Page One, and Ulti, who were kneeling nearby, trembled uncontrollably.
Peggy (Page One) and Runti (Ulti), being the youngest of the group, were on the verge of breaking down. Tears stread down their faces as they bit their lips hard, struggling to suppress their cries.
Fear consud them, leaving them powerless against Lucifer's overwhelming presence.
"And what about you? Do you wish to live, or would you rather die?"
Lucifer's cold gaze landed on Fuzifu and Sasaki.
"I want to live! Please, let live!"
Fuzifu and Sasaki imdiately prostrated themselves, shouting in desperation.
"We surrender! We swear our loyalty to you, Master Lucifer!"
At the sa ti, Peggy and Runti also pleaded for rcy, their voices choked with sobs.
Even ants cling to life, and they were no exception. None of them wanted to die—not when survival was still an option.
Unlike Jhin, Fuzifu and Sasaki lacked unshakable loyalty to Kaido or the ntal fortitude to resist Lucifer's bloody thods. Their spirits were crushed, and with it, their allegiance to Kaido crumbled.
"Take them away and tend to their injuries," Lucifer commanded. "As for the unconscious ones, lock them up in the prison for now."
"Yes, Captain Lucifer!"
Several pirates stepped forward, dragging Fuzifu, Sasaki, and the others away. Quinn and Black Maria, who remained unconscious, were also carried off toward the prison.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them trembled violently.
RUMBLE!
A deafening roar filled the air as the ruins of Onigashima began to collapse.
"No! The island is sinking!"
"Everyone, get out of here! Back to the ships!"
The devastating battle between Lucifer and Kaido had left Onigashima in ruins. Now, the island was sinking faster than ever, threatening to disappear into the sea.
"Evacuate to the ships imdiately!" Lucifer ordered.
The pirates scrambled in a panic, rushing toward the pirate ships anchored at the shore.
However, there weren't enough ships to accommodate everyone—especially for the defeated remnants of the Beasts Pirates.
"Help! Please save us!"
"We surrender! Don't leave us here to die!"
Cries for help echoed across the island as fear took hold of the remaining pirates.
So, in their desperation, leapt into the sea, but they found no salvation. The sinking island had created massive whirlpools, and those who jumped were quickly swallowed by the raging waters.
For the remnants of the Beasts Pirates, there was no escape. Their despair was absolute.
"Cavendish, pull them up."
Lucifer's calm voice cut through the chaos.
"Yes, Captain Lucifer!"
Cavendish stepped forward, his powerful hands stretching out. With the strength granted by the Lion Fruit, he effortlessly lifted several massive chunks of the island wreckage, keeping them afloat.
While Cavendish's mastery of the Lion Fruit was not yet on par with the legendary Golden Lion's ability to lift entire islands into the sky, controlling a few pieces of debris was a trivial task for him.
The remnants of the Beasts Pirates had surrendered, and Lucifer saw no reason to let them die needlessly.
After all, more than ten thousand elite pirates stood among them. Fully subjugating them would bolster the strength of the Nether Pirates to an unprecedented level.
Lucifer smiled faintly as the remnants were saved one by one, their terrified faces now filled with a mix of awe and gratitude.
He knew it. With this, the power of the Nether Pirates was about to soar.
