Lucifer had killed his confidant Dauberman, tarnished his reputation, and affected his career—Akainu had long hated Lucifer to the core.

Kizaru let out a long, exaggerated sigh and lay back down on the beach chair.
His posture resembled that of a salted fish.
A salted fish might need to be turned over under the sun, but Kizaru didn't even seem to care about that.
"The difference between the sa Marine Admirals is unbelievable."
This was the common thought of many Marine soldiers.
As Marines, shouldn't they be fighting evil with passion and high spirits?

"In this battle, Lucifer showed overwhelming strength and beat Big Mom all the way."
"Kaido also showed up at Cake Island, teaming up with Big Mom to fight Lucifer, but was still suppressed by him."
"Two Four Emperors—one dead and one severely wounded!"
"Now that the war is over, it's too late for Marine to interfere."
"Isn't that just right?"
Akainu still didn't want to give up on the mission.
