Over a hundred thousand Marine soldiers filled the bay of Marineford to the brim.
Each soldier was ard, either with long swords or rifles.
Marineford looked like a giant full moon, inverted on the water surface, with an elliptical gap at its front.
Seawater poured in through this gap, forming a crescent-shaped bay.
Circular gravity cannons were mounted on the steel walls surrounding the crescent bay and the sa was true for the entire periter of Marineford.
From the front of the crescent bay to the execution platform at the far end of the plaza, three layers of defense had been established.
The first layer consisted of six of the Seven Warlords of the Sea summoned by the Marine: Mihawk, Donquixote Doflamingo, Bartholow Kuma, Boa Hancock, Gecko Moria and Edward Weevil.
Additionally, there was the CP0 unit, handed over to Sengoku by the Five Elders.
The second layer was composed of Marine Vice Admirals and a large number of elite forces from the Marine Headquarters, forming the main combat group.
The third layer was beneath the already constructed execution platform, where the three Marine Admirals sat: Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru.
On the outermost periter, thousands of massive Marine warships encircled the island, creating an ironclad defense.

anwhile, the Prisoners of impeldown had just escaped from the prison and were sailing on a Marine ship along the World Governnt's exclusive route, the Tarai currents.
On the deck, hundreds of prisoners in black-and-white striped uniforms were gathered, feasting and drinking. In their midst, a man with a large red nose held a wine glass, his face beaming with the joy of having survived.

"To our escape from Impel Down!"
Buggy the Clown looked around at everyone, then downed the wine in his glass.

Buggy, hearing the crying stumbled over with a barrel of alcohol in his arms, clearly drunk. His words showed no concern for Bon Clay, only relief at their escape.
"You heartless big-nosed jerk!" Luffy wiped away his tears and shouted at Buggy. "Bon Clay will be fine!"
Buggy, upon hearing this, threw the barrel to the ground, put his hands on his hips and glared indignantly.
He hated being called "big-nosed."
"You rubber idiot dare call big-nosed? I'll teach you a lesson today!" With that, the drunken Buggy rolled up his sleeves and lunged at Luffy.
But Luffy wasn't about to let him off, especially after he cursed his friend Bon Clay.
In an instant, Luffy rubber arm stretched out and he punched Buggy right on his red nose.
Buggy, who could barely stand straight, had no ti to react.

The punch landed squarely on his face.
The next mont, Buggy red nose turned even redder.
"Ow! That hurts!" Buggy howled in pain, clutching his nose. As he spoke, he touched his nose with his hands, feeling warm liquid on his fingers.

Buggy cared deeply about his nose, and after being hit, he sobered up a bit.

No sooner had he spoken, Buggy, filled with rage, jumped onto Luffy.
