Sowhere in the city, a food street.
At a roadside stall, sizzling grilled skewers sent steam rising into the air, the aroma of sauce perating the atmosphere.
"Captain, this is really delicious!"
A tall white bear in an orange jumpsuit clumsily held a bamboo skewer with his paw, his mouth greasy from eating.
"Sorry, I shouldn't eat so much," Bepo apologized instinctively after finishing one skewer.
"Don't worry, the Berries the Fleet Admiral gave us are enough for you to spend," Trafalgar Law leaned against a bench, cradling his beloved sword Kikoku, his expression indifferent.
Since pledging allegiance to the Marines, he and his Heart Pirates had been assigned to this trainee unit.
Orion hadn't restricted their freedom, rely allowing them to follow along.
This seemingly lax attitude only made Law more uneasy.
He couldn't see through that man.
"Boss, ten more skewers!" The other two Heart Pirates mbers, Shachi and Penguin, were haggling with the vendor as if they were on a casual outing.
Law paid them no mind, simply gazing up at the azure sky of the Giltea Kingdom.
It was the first ti since Corazon's death that he had felt such long-lost tranquility.
But how long could this peace last?
"AHH—!"
"Run! Pirates are coming!"
From the other end of the street, heart-wrenching screams suddenly erupted.
The next mont, a flood of panicked citizens, their faces etched with terror, surged into the street from the direction of the port, overturning countless stalls in their path.
Grilled at, fruits, and trinkets scattered everywhere, mingling with the cries and shouts of the people.
Law's eyes instantly turned cold.
He stood up, Kikoku now held firmly in one hand.
"Bepo, take them sowhere to hide."
"Yes, Captain!"
Law's voice was quiet but carried an undeniable command.
Before his words fully faded, his figure had already vanished from the spot.
When he reappeared, he was standing at the street's entrance—alone, with a single sword, blocking the entire thoroughfare.
Before him, nearly a hundred pirates brandished swords and guns, chasing the crowd with sinister laughter.
The lead pirate halted abruptly upon seeing Law blocking the path, then recognized him.
"Captain of the Heart Pirates, the 'Surgeon of Death,' Trafalgar Law?" A flicker of shock and suspicion crossed the pirate leader's face.
"Didn't you leave the North Blue long ago? What are you doing here!"
Law didn't respond, rely resting the tip of his sword Kikoku on the ground as he stared coldly at them.
"You've got nerve, daring to attack this town."
"Don't you know that the Fleet Admiral Orion is currently in the city?"
The pirate leader froze montarily at these words, then burst into roaring laughter as if hearing the world's greatest joke.
"Hahaha! The Fleet Admiral? Trafalgar Law, stop with the scare tactics! Just admit you want to monopolize this country's treasure!"
"Exactly! Don't think we're fools—soone of the Fleet Admiral's status would never co to a backwater place like this!"
The pirate leader stopped laughing, pointing his broadsword at Law with a vicious expression.
"I'll give you two choices!"
"Either join us and get rich together! You'll get twenty percent of the treasure here!"
"Or, die!"
Not a flicker of emotion showed in Law's eyes, as if he were looking at corpses.
He couldn't even be bothered to utter another word.
"Room."
A pale blue hemispherical space silently expanded outward from him, instantly enveloping all the pirates at the street entrance.
The pirates' laughter cut off abruptly.
They stared in stunned confusion at the bizarre space that had suddenly appeared, unable to comprehend what was happening.
"What the hell is this?"
Before they could react, Law had already raised Kikoku.
He didn't even draw the blade, rely flicked his wrist casually.
"Amputate."
Swish!
An invisible slash flashed through the air.
Within the space, all the pirates' bodies were instantly dismbered.
Heads landed on others' shoulders, arms sprouted from comrades' stomachs, legs separated completely from torsos.
The scene beca utterly surreal.
The pirates were still alive—they could see their bodies haphazardly reassembled, could feel others' limbs attached to themselves—but they couldn't make a sound or control their bodies.
Only endless horror and terror remained on their faces.
"Tch."
Law extended his index finger and gave a slight hook.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Nearly a hundred hearts materialized mid-air, suspended under his control like balloons on strings, still beating rhythmically.
He reversed his grip on Kikoku's hilt and clenched his fist sharply.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Mid-air, all nearly hundred hearts were simultaneously crushed.
At the street entrance, the randomly reassembled bodies instantly lost all signs of life, collapsing like scattered building blocks into silent heaps.
From beginning to end, not a single drop of blood was spilled.
Law withdrew his ability, and the pale blue space vanished.
He hugged Kikoku to his chest again, turned, and walked back toward the food street.
As if he'd rely taken out the trash.
...
anwhile, in the town's central comrcial district.
The four Vinsmoke siblings erged from a luxury boutique.
"Boring. How can goods from a place like this even be called luxury items?"
The third brother Niji curled his lip, his face filled with contempt.
"Not even a decent weapons shop." The fourth brother, Yonji, also looked thoroughly unimpressed.
Only Reiju, holding several shopping bags, observed the city's architectural style with keen interest.
Suddenly, dense screams and the sound of fleeing crowds shattered the comrcial street's bustling atmosphere.
A large number of citizens surged from the end of the street, their faces bearing the exact sa terror Law had witnessed earlier.
All four siblings turned their heads simultaneously toward the street entrance.
They saw another pirate crew—larger in number, numbering two to three hundred—charging in with nacing montum.
These pirates were even more brutal than the ones at the port.
The mont they entered the street, they launched indiscriminate attacks.
"Haha! Burn to death!"
A pirate laughed maniacally as he hurled a Molotov cocktail at an upscale restaurant by the roadside.
BOOM!
Flas instantly engulfed the restaurant's doors and windows, followed by even more piercing screams from custors and staff inside.
People scrambled out of the inferno in disarray, so still trailing flas, rolling on the ground in agony.
Another pirate, spotting a mother clutching her child who was running too slowly, grinned viciously and swung his blade down, sending blood splattering.
Witnessing this scene, Reiju's pink eyebrows furrowed.
"We have to stop them."
"What's it got to do with us?" Yonji shoved his hands in his pockets, utterly indifferent. "They're just trash. If they die, they die."
Reiju's voice turned cold.
"Don't forget our current status. If we stand by and do nothing, how do you think the Fleet Admiral will deal with us when he finds out?"
Yonji's expression stiffened.
Though Niji and Ichiji remained silent, the arrogance on their faces noticeably receded.
They might not care about these civilians' lives, but they dared not disobey that man's orders.
"Tch, what a hassle."
Yonji grumbled, but the jet boots on his feet had already activated.
Without another word, Reiju was the first to charge forward.
"Transform!"
With four synchronized low shouts, tal canisters spun at their waists, and armor instantly enveloped their bodies.
Sparkling Red!
Electric Blue!
Winch Green!
Poison Pink!
Four streaks of light tore through the sky, moving at speeds barely visible to the naked eye as they plunged into the pirate horde.
"W-What is that?!"
The pirate captain only saw a blur before one of his underlings was pierced through the chest by a red flash.
"It's the Vinsmoke Family! The assassins of the North Blue!"
A knowledgeable pirate recognized the iconic battle suits and let out a despairing cry.
"Didn't they join the Marines? Why are they here?!"
"We're done for... We've kicked a hornet's nest!"
Fear spread among the pirates like a plague.
But the four Vinsmoke siblings gave them no ti to react.
Ichiji transford into a beam of light, weaving through the crowd.
With every flash, he claid several pirates' lives.
Niji, wreathed in high-voltage electricity, moved at extre speeds.
Each flying kick electrocuted his enemies into charred corpses.
Yonji was the most direct.
Extending his massive chanical arm, he grabbed a pirate and swung him like a hamr, smashing the surrounding foes until their bones shattered.
Reiju moved with the most grace, fluttering like a dancing butterfly.
Wherever she passed, pirates foad at the mouth, their bodies turning purple as they collapsed dead on the spot.
It was a one-sided slaughter.
In less than a minute, over two hundred pirates were completely annihilated.
The battle was over.
Reiju landed gracefully in front of the pirate leader, her high-heeled combat boot stepping on his face.
Elegance never goes out of style!
