Wano Country seas, Onigashima.
"All Mythical Zoans—seriously, the entire crew is Mythical Zoans?"
"Hahaha! That Arton really is sothing else!"
"Where the hell did he even find so many Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits?"
Kaido's booming laughter echoed through the hall as he scanned the paper describing the powers of Nami, Nojiko, and Kaya. The more he read, the more thrilled he beca.
"An entire crew of Mythical Zoans… could such a thing even be possible?" The Plague, Queen, scratched his shiny bald head, muttering in confusion.
"Haha, if they weren't Mythical Zoans," Kaido barked, "there'd be no way to explain the abilities of Nami or Uta. Even the Marines themselves now officially recognize Arton's crewmates as Mythical Zoan users. That ans there's no mistake!"
As absurd as it sounded, Kaido believed it—and, more importantly, he wanted to believe it. If Black Maria could actually find Arton and recruit him into the Beasts Pirates, their crew would evolve into sothing even greater.
"But the real question is," King the Wildfire interjected, brow furrowed, "would Arton even agree to join us? His bounty already surpasses mine and sits just below yours, Kaido-sama. Even if he likes won, it's not guaranteed that he'd accept Black Maria's offer. With his current power, he could have any woman he wants."
"That's true," Queen sighed. "The guy even possesses Conqueror's Haki. Hard to imagine a man bearing the mark of a king ever submitting to another pirate crew."
Queen's shoulders slumped in disappointnt. As much as he wanted to study Arton's bizarre abilities, that would only be possible if Arton agreed to join them. Otherwise, the odds of him ever examining Arton's body—or his fruit—would be practically zero.
Kaido frowned. When he had sent Black Maria out, Arton hadn't yet revealed such overwhelming power, nor had he displayed Conqueror's Haki. But now, with the papers detailing more of his feats and powers, even Kaido began to doubt whether Black Maria could complete her mission.
If he truly wanted Arton in the Beasts Pirates, he might have to personally use force to make it happen.
"No matter," Kaido finally said, gripping the massive spiked kanabo at his side. "Black Maria's already out there. Let's wait until she makes contact with Arton before deciding anything. If she manages to invite him in, all the better. But if she can't…"
His mouth twisted into a manic grin. "…then I'll find a way to invite Arton myself!"
A torrent of Conqueror's Haki erupted from his body, crackling with black and red lightning that filled the cavern like a storm. Weaker Beasts Pirates around him couldn't handle the pressure— their eyes rolled back as they collapsed unconscious across the floor.
Outside the cave, Page One—who had been reading a newspaper—felt the oppressive surge and frowned.
"Kaido-sama's lost it again… Seriously, how many tis has that been this month? Sis, do you even rember?"
He glanced toward the cave, then turned to the woman beside him—his older sister, Ulti.
"Sis?"
But Ulti just stared blankly at the paper, eyes wide and dazed.
"Hey, don't bother . I'm reading," she said, delivering a casual punch straight to Page One's face without even looking up.
"Ow! Co on, you've been staring at that thing forever! What's so interesting about it anyway?"
"Looking at your future brother-in-law," Ulti replied flatly.
"Oh, your brother-in-law, huh… Wait, WHAT?! Brother-in-law?! Sis—you've got a man?!"
Page One's eyes went wide as he stared at Ulti in disbelief.
Co on! This was Ulti we were talking about. Sure, she was a gorgeous woman with a pair of long legs—but her temper was explosive. Other than Kaido and her own little brother, Ulti looked down on every man alive.
And now… Ulti was saying she had a brother-in-law?
Page One froze on the spot, even wondering if he was dreaming.
"Ow!" He pinched himself and felt a sharp pain at his waist. "S-so this isn't a dream?"
"What are you yowling about? Is there sothing wrong with your head?" Ulti turned, snapping at her little brother.
"N-no, that's not it, sis—when did I get a brother-in-law? And who is he? Why didn't I hear anything? I'm your brother!"
"Right now you don't have one. In the future, you will."
"Huh? What do you an 'not now, but in the future'? What's that supposed to an?"
"See Arton in this newspaper? Once I et him, he'll be your brother-in-law."
"W-what—Arton?!" Page One yelped again.
Of course he knew exactly who Arton was. Practically everyone in the Beasts Pirates knew Black Maria had taken a team to invite Arton. And with the paper splashing stories about Arton's Flablade Pirates all over, his na was everywhere. In a situation like that, it was impossible for Page One not to know him.
"Hold on—have you even t this Arton, sis?"
"No."
"Then why are you going to marry him?"
"Because his bounty is three billion Berries, and he has a diary sys—cough, cough, cough!"
"Sis, what's wrong? Why are you coughing blood all of a sudden?!"
"I-I'm fine." Ulti patted her chest and drew a deep breath.
'Damn it, I forgot we can't talk about the diary copy.'
'That punishnt hurts way too much!'
Rubbing at the ache in her chest, Ulti fud inwardly. Just now, because she'd been about to ntion the diary copy, she had coughed up a mouthful of blood.
And to think—she was an Ancient Zoan user. Her physique was incredibly tough. Yet here, just a tiny punishnt from the diary copy had left her reeling. That made Ulti even more shocked at the power of the diary copy.
"You're coughing blood and you call that fine? Maybe we should go find a doctor?"
"I said I'm fine. I just bit my tongue." She flicked her hand. "Give the paper. I'm leaving."
Ulti snatched the newspaper from Page One and stood, ready to go.
"Wait, Ulti— you still haven't told what your relationship with Arton even is! Why are you claiming he'll be my brother-in-law? Is it just because his bounty is three billion?"
"Three billion Berries— isn't that enough? How many people in this world ever get a bounty that high? And he's still so young. If you're going to marry, you pick soone like that."
Ulti waved him off, eyes flashing with a trace of admiration—sothing Page One, being close, imdiately caught.
"No way… Sure, you do admire people with massive bounties, sis, but this is going a bit far, isn't it?"
"Believe it or don't." With that, Ulti sped up, quickly leaving Page One behind.
Of course, it wasn't just Arton's three-billion bounty that made Ulti want to marry him; that only fueled her admiration. Admiration alone wasn't enough to make her heart flutter like a maiden's. But add in the capabilities granted by Arton's diary system… and suddenly everything beca possible.
"This Arton—less than half a year at sea and he already has power like this, a bounty like this. In the future he'll only grow stronger, with even higher bounties. The girls around him will grow stronger too. If I can beco one of his won, I'll definitely get stronger as well. Then I can protect Page One, right?"
"Yeah. I've gotta find a way to make that man mine."
"Damn it, this is all Black Maria's fault—she actually set sail without bringing along."
"Bitch!" Ulti let out a furious roar.
