The man's words completely exhausted Jake's patience.

He looked at the man and raised his hand.

In the next mont, with a force the man couldn't possibly react to, a trendous power erupted from his face, sending him unconscious into the street's rubble.

Though the bastard's actions were despicable, Jake didn't kill him.

These were registered Marines - killing them indiscriminately would cause complications.

Despite his anger, Jake maintained basic rationality.

However, these n would undoubtedly be sent to prison later and now they would face his wrath firsthand.

Next, Jake appeared before the Marine who had earlier incited his comrade to kill him.

With the sa asured pace, he asked.

"Why did you tell your comrade to kill soone whose identity wasn't even confird?"

"I... I was just joking! I didn't an it! Please spare , I was just running my mouth!"

The man spoke while squirming across the ground like a maggot, kowtowing repeatedly to Jake, begging for rcy.

Unlike the previous guy who might survive a slap, this man knew one strike from Jake would an his death.

Jake simply shook his head at the groveling figure.

Electricity crackled in his palm before lashing out to strike the man.

A piercing scream echoed as the man collapsed, convulsing violently.

His trousers darkened with urine as the lightning strike caused involuntary muscle spasms, humiliating him completely.

After kicking the man aside, Jake moved towards the next instigator.

Enhanced by the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, his Observation Haki had recorded every word and action from earlier.

He would settle accounts with each of them, one by one.

As thunder reverberated through the streets, the woman Jake had earlier chased away crouched in a corner.

Watching his godlike display through streaming tears, she didn't know what fate awaited her - only the terror that Jake might turn his lightning against her next.

As the screams slowly faded, Jake tossed the unconscious soldier aside.

Before the woman could react, he was already by her side.

The next mont, before Jake could speak, the woman began frantically removing her clothes, sobbing and pleading.

"Please don't hurt ! I'll do anything! We're just here for work—soone paid 5 million Berries to book all of us. Please, I beg you!"

Watching her tears, Jake simply said softly.

"You're not a Marine, so this has nothing to do with you. There's no need to be so afraid. I'm Lieutenant Jake from Marine Headquarters. I ca here because we received reports of extre corruption at this branch base. Don't worry, none of them are dead—just severely punished. I'll be sending them to prison later."

Hearing this, the woman cald slightly.

She looked at Jake, the terror in her eyes lessening.

Though still frightened, she could now speak coherently.

"So... you're a Marine too? You're... not what I imagined."

Jake glanced at the figures sprawled across the ground, his expression filled with disgust.

"These scum don't deserve to be called Marines. Your image of what Marines should be needs to change. These wastes are nothing but criminals."

"Can... can you really imprison all of them?" Her voice carried a note of hope that puzzled Jake.

"You seem eager to it?"

The woman didn't hide her feelings, imdiately recounting everything she'd witnessed.

"If these bastards aren't all locked up, we'll never get our money—we might not even leave this place alive!"

"What do you an?"

Her words deepened Jake's interest in this small branch base—its corruption ran far deeper than he'd thought.

The woman quickly explained.

"We arrived about a month ago—twenty of us. They paid 5 million Berries for us to stay two months, promising paynt at the end. But I suspect when those two months are up, we won't get a single Berry. Worse, these Marine... these monsters might sell us to slave traders!"

She cast a fearful glance at the unconscious Marines littering the ground, then whispered.

"During our ti here, we've seen the branch commander eting repeatedly with slave ships. We even saw him bring out groups of chained prisoners from his quarters—including fish-n and other races. Every ti those people disappeared, the Marines here would suddenly have money to splurge."

"If it were just once or twice, I might have been overthinking it, but it's been like this every ti. Over the past two months, the sa situation has occurred about five tis. What terrified the most was when I got a custor drunk once, and he told in bed that he could only stay with us for two more months before watching us get taken away by slave traders."

"At that mont, I already had so suspicions in my heart, but when I tried to ask further, he had already fallen asleep. I didn't dare to wake him up to question him afterward. From that point on, I started discussing with the other sisters here about how to escape. But all the ships here are tightly controlled by the marines—we couldn't find any chance to flee."

As the woman spoke, Jake's expression grew increasingly grim.

His gaze turned towards the base commander's brightly lit private residence, his voice calm yet laced with chilling nace.

"Follow and tell everything you know along the way. Don't worry, you'll be safe. People might die today, but it definitely won't be you."

Electric blue arcs flickered around him, while inside the building, the base commander remained unaware of what was happening.

He was leering at the two slightly terrified won before him, his face twisted in a vulgar expression
