Although Vir looked down on them a little, his hands didn't stop moving. He raised the pickaxe, ready to swing it down.

"Oi~~~!!!"

Suddenly!

A loud shout rang out!

Luffy used all his strength and shouted at the top of his lungs!

His booming voice imdiately spread throughout the entire room.

Even Vir was startled.

He stopped his movents and turned toward Luffy, who had just shouted.

"What are you trying to do? Are you going to kill my crewmate?! If that's the case, then kill first!"

Luffy—or rather, anyone witnessing this scene—would definitely think that Vir was trying to kill soone.

After all, the sight of that pickaxe was utterly terrifying.

It was obviously a tool ant for killing.

Luffy's reaction wasn't surprising in the slightest.

At this mont, Vir realized that his actions might have been a bit inappropriate.

Maybe he should explain himself first.

This kind of misunderstanding was too common—after all, he was holding a pickaxe.

He just hadn't expected Luffy to shout with such intensity. For a mont, he even thought Luffy had awakened Conqueror's Haki…

"This is a treatnt thod. Don't worry, I won't harm her."

Vir quickly explained.

But before Luffy could respond, a loud *bang* echoed from inside the house as a door was thrown open.

At the sa ti, a woman's voice rang out.

"Nonsense! Absolute rubbish! What kind of treatnt thod is that?! I've lived for over a hundred years, and I've never heard of such a thing! Where did you learn this from?!"

Doctor Kureha had been woken up by Luffy's loud scream.

Her beauty sleep had been rudely interrupted.

The mont she stepped out, she saw Vir holding a bloodstained pickaxe while telling Luffy that it was a treatnt thod.

Originally, she had a decent impression of Vir, but now she imdiately viewed him as a shady character.

She had even heard Chopper refer to him as his ntor just now.

This ti, she had to make Chopper see this man's true nature so he could sever ties with him once and for all.

"Big bro wouldn't lie! He's amazing doctor!"

Chopper tried his best to defend Vir, but no one paid him any attention.

"This is my own original thod, capable of curing any poison in the world."

"I've checked already—this girl has a high fever because she was bitten by a venomous insect. As long as I strike forty-nine tis, she'll be as good as new!"

Vir slightly furrowed his brows. Things weren't looking good.

If they didn't believe him, his plan would be ruined.

"Impossible! Hitting soone with that thing would only kill them! How could it possibly save them?!"

Doctor Kureha remained adamant, angrily yelling at Vir.

However, deep down, she was a little doubtful. What he said was correct.

The girl was bitten by a venomous insect. He did seem to have so dical knowledge.

But his ridiculous claims irritated her to no end.

Vir quickly realized that unless he proved this was safe, they wouldn't let him proceed.

"Fine, fine! I'll prove it to you!"

As he spoke, Vir raised the pickaxe and swung it toward his own head.

Everyone was stunned by his action.

What was he doing?!

Was he seriously about to smash his own head with that thing?

Had he gone mad?!

Even Chopper was in complete disbelief.

"Master, don't! You'll die!"

But just as Chopper finished speaking, they all saw the pickaxe in Vir's hand miss his head.

Instead, it kept going… upward?

Wait… upward?!

Vir had fully swung his arm, and the pickaxe was now coming down—straight at the worried-looking Chopper!

Huh?

"AHHH!!!"

Chopper realized what was happening and let out a shriek.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, for earning 150 Negative Points!]

But at this mont, Chopper had no ti to run.

"Chopper!!"

Doctor Kureha shouted as she rushed forward.

However, everything happened too fast. Everyone thought Vir was going to hit himself.

No one expected his real target to be Chopper!

Doctor Kureha could only watch as the sharp pickaxe struck Chopper's head.

"Ah!"

Chopper scread again.

But the next second, he froze.

Because… there was no pain.

The pickaxe had entered his head, yet it hadn't caused any damage.

Everyone stared at the horrifying scene in shock.

W-What…

What was this?!

How could the pickaxe… pass through?!

Doctor Kureha's dical knowledge was starting to collapse. There was no way to explain what she had just witnessed.

This wasn't scientific!

Snapping out of her daze, she imdiately pulled Chopper into her arms and carefully examined his head.

But no matter how much she checked, she found nothing.

It really seed like Vir's special technique.

A thod that removed poison without harming the brain.

Did sothing this bizarre truly exist in this world?

At this mont, Doctor Kureha was beginning to believe Vir's words.

After all, the truth was right before her eyes.

And from Vir's earlier words, she could tell he truly had dical knowledge.

So… was this really just a treatnt thod?

Seeing Chopper completely unhard, Luffy—who had been standing still—suddenly jumped up and ran over to check Chopper's head.

There was no hole! He was perfectly fine!

It was only now that Luffy realized he had completely misunderstood Vir…

That really was a treatnt thod.

Vir was doing his best to save Nami, yet Luffy had doubted him.

How embarrassing.

Just then, the noisy commotion caused Nami to groggily open her eyes.

She could vaguely make out a figure standing before her.

She hadn't yet figured out what was happening.

"I'm sorry!"

Luffy's attitude shifted in an instant. He imdiately bowed at a ninety-degree angle to apologize to Vir.

"I'm sorry for doubting you! Please continue treating Nami!"

Luffy?

Who was Luffy talking to?

Was it the person in front of her?

Was he asking this person to save her?

And… what was that in his hand? Why did it look so weird?

Then, as Nami's vision cleared, she finally saw the object in his hands.

That was a… mining pickaxe?!

What was he trying to do?!

Nami's mind raced.

Vir looked at the now-conscious Nami and didn't hesitate. He swung his arm in a wide arc and brought the pickaxe down on her head.

This ti, the swing was much more forceful than when he hit Chopper!

It looked as if he was going to smash her into pieces!

Even Luffy, who had just asked for his help, tensed up and clenched his butt cheeks.

His face was filled with extre anxiety.

As for Nami—her eyes widened in horror, her powerless body trembling as she let out a terrified scream.

"What are you doing?! NOOOO!!!"

The pickaxe struck her head with a loud thud.

This was a real, up-close pickaxe. Nami gasped for breath.

Her eyes were filled with utter terror!

Her heart rate skyrocketed to 180.

Her body trembled uncontrollably from fear.

...

The system notifications in Vir's mind were coming in rapid succession.

Vir's face was practically glowing with joy!

This! This is perfect!

His gaze toward Nami beca almost maniacal!

Negative points!

Give more negative points!

Without stopping, Vir raised the pickaxe again and brought it down once more.

And it was clear that this ti, he swung it with even more force!

Nami, unable to move, dodge, or escape, could only watch as the pickaxe ca down on her body again and again.

Each strike was accompanied by a scream.

Everyone's hearts clenched with each blow.

And each ti, the system would chi in, adding a little sweetness to Vir's exhausting task.
