Chapter 594: Kizaru Gave the Good Guy Card

As the battle was beginning elsewhere.

Kizaru quickly jumped through the passage and entered the underground space again through another entrance.

There was more than one entrance leading down here.

Fortunately, one happened to be close to Kizaru.

If there hadn’t been, he could always blast one open himself.

But he still wanted to save his strength.

Just now, while shaking off those magic-pattern users, the Arrogant Envoy and the Pain Envoy had each left their mark on him.

The feeling could only be described in one way: painful. Extrely painful.

The Pain Envoy’s magic power had nearly made him lose control, and it felt more agonizing than a woman giving birth.

Although Kizaru had obviously never experienced childbirth, he still felt it.

As for the Arrogant Envoy’s power, it reminded Kizaru of Sakazuki’s current magma, overflowing with destructive force.

The Arrogant Envoy’s reputation was clearly well-earned.

To take down both of those guys at the sa ti, Kizaru felt it was natural to suffer a little.

Besides, his "blood is thick," and the phoenix flas within him tended toward rebirth and near-immortality.

Because of that, his tolerance for risk was extrely high.

"They’re all monsters. But luckily for , they helped. Such good people."

Kizaru muttered in his usual teasing tone while flying swiftly.

Hoo ho ho!

A violent gust of air struck him as he re-entered the underground space.

This entrance was located near Gusen’s domain and erged from a rock platform hanging upside down from the ceiling.

Kizaru landed on the platform.

From there, he looked out into the distance, watching the vast sea of writhing trees fighting for dominance and the enormous red fireball exploding among them.

He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly again.

’The Seven Demon Envoys are such good people.’

Then Kizaru shifted his gaze to the battlefield on the opposite side.

Over there, the magic-pattern users were fighting atop an ancient-tree fortress made of towering evergreen trees.

Jayne and Zeno were still locked in a standoff with Demon King Desert.

The scene was extrely chaotic.

Fortunately, each team of magic-pattern users was led by B-level users.

There were also more A-level magic-pattern users than in the demon army, and many of them were powerful.

Furthermore, many demons preferred fighting alone and rarely worked together.

Although the battlefield was a ss, it was barely holding together.

But without Evergreen Tree and Demonic Current supporting them, they would not be able to push the demons back again.

As ti passed, many of the competing magic-pattern users grew frustrated.

They had co here to compete, not to fight a drawn-out war.

Soone had already pressed the scorer’s ergency button.

Even though holy power was released, it failed to disperse the demon army.

These demons were at least level C and were being led by high-rank demons. Naturally, such a small amount of holy power couldn’t drive them away.

However, dispersing them wasn’t the goal.

They simply wanted the referees to arrive quickly.

"It looks really tragic."

Kizaru said as he looked down at the fighting magic-pattern users.

He stroked his chin, wondering whether he should continue participating.

He needed to keep the balance for now.

If he rejoined the fight and crushed the enemy too hard, another "big fish" would probably appear.

The cycle would never end.

It was better to take it slow for now and wait for instructions from above.

At the mont, it looked like the magic patterns of light and shadow could still hold on.

Kizaru had that thought, and then suddenly lifted his head.

His eyes widened behind his sunglasses.

That...?!

Boom!!!

A massive roar echoed through the underground.

A gigantic hole blew open in the ceiling, nearly a thousand ters across.

Black stones, sand, magic-ore fragnts, dust, and countless particles rained down.

Two figures also shot downward through the opening.

Shock rings ford around them at supersonic speed as they plumted toward the battlefield.

Rumble!

The ground split with a violent crack.

The battlefield was torn cleanly into two sections, with both fractured edges suspended in mid-air.

Sand and stones surged wildly under the shockwave, and the earth shook violently.

With the ceiling collapsing and the ground breaking apart, the entire scene looked spectacular and terrifying.

The sudden change stunned the magic-pattern users below.

They steadied themselves and began using their abilities to evacuate.

Fortunately, they were inside the ancient-tree fortress, so the destruction did not cause heavy casualties.

In contrast, the demon army, which was large in number and fighting in the open, faced greater danger.

But of course, the top demons had no intention of watching their army get buried.

However, they were being restrained by A-level magic-pattern users.

If they dared to move recklessly, they would be hit with fatal attacks.

Under these conditions.

The Sand Demon King Desert raised a hand, manipulating the desert beneath him.

All the falling stones and debris froze in midair.

Then the debris flowed outward in an orderly manner.

It resembled a circular waterfall pouring in all directions as it transford into ordinary sand and gravel.

"Tsk. That’s really terrifying."

"As expected... every one of the Nine Demon Kings is a monster."

Kizaru couldn’t help comnting in amazent as he watched the scene.

Then he focused again on the dark opening above.

A figure floated down slowly.

The armored knight covered in black markings made Kizaru’s expression turn serious the mont he saw him.

One of the Nine Demon Kings: War King.

Kizaru still had a vivid mory of him.

This was the demon who fought Sakazuki at the end of Mythical Beast Island last ti.

When Kizaru asked Sakazuki about it afterward, Sakazuki was still furious.

"Looks like I need to make a move again."

Kizaru murmured as he lowered his head slightly and adjusted his cloak.

He decided to go help.

If he had seen correctly earlier, the two figures who fell were the Holy Knights of the Kingdom of Miracles, Earth Rhythm Pasadong and Bee Lord Sakamori.

The Kingdom of Miracles was a powerful force worth befriending.

It wasn’t rely about saving soone. It was simply sothing he needed to do right now.

And who knew? If he ever stopped being a Marine, he might beco a Holy Knight.

Swish!

Kizaru turned into a streak of light that flashed across the sky.

Like a shooting star, he plunged straight into the deep chasm created by the impact.

Deep underground.

Pasadong and Sakamori climbed up from the dark ground and both drank the Holy Light Potions they had kept strapped to their bodies.

To keep the potions from breaking during the fall, they had taken a bit more damage, but it was worth it.

At that mont, the air seed to freeze for an instant.

Then Pasadong burst out laughing.

"That guy is so strong!"

"I feel like my whole body is on fire and my blood is boiling!!"

"Passionate!!!"

Hearing this, Sakamori rolled his eyes.

If your blood is boiling, then fine. But why shout so loudly?

Still, Pasadong had always been excitable, though never without reason.

Right now, the most important thing was the Demon King.

That guy was far too strong, and even with the two of them working together, they had been beaten down instantly.

With their three-star gem-level strength, their holy power was only a small step away from the next stage.

Even if the demon’s magic overwheld theirs, they should not have been suppressed this badly.

Yet he had shattered multiple layers with one strike and sent them crashing straight into the underground.

Sakamori replayed the earlier battle in his mind, thinking rapidly.

Eventually, his eyes focused on the black patterns engraved on the War Lord’s armor.

He rembered that a small section of those black lines had disappeared near the end.

Was that the reason the War King was so overwhelmingly strong and unreasonable?
