In the small town, Garp, who had been sitting atop the church roof, stood up and set down his donut.
With Haki flowing over both arms, he looked at the surging sword aura and the massive boulder flying toward him, grinning as he said:
"This is getting intense."
With a stomp, the church rooftop cracked in a circular pattern and sank downward.
Garp appeared mid-air, stepping on Geppo, and smashed the oncoming sword aura and boulder into pieces.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!—
...
On the mountain peak—
Clang!
Redfield's longsword once again clashed with Kong's fist.
His body leaned slightly back, ready to dodge at any mont. The sword in his hand surged with aura, pressing downward.
Kong flipped his forearm that was resisting the blade and turned his fist into a palm, striking the sword's body.
At the sa ti, he raised two fingers with his right hand like a sharp blade, thrusting toward Redfield's heart.
Under the uncontrollable force, Redfield's longsword was pushed to the right.
A sharp streak of sword light cut through the air.
The mountain peak they stood on was instantly cleaved in two.
From the massive impact, the upper half of the mountain lifted slightly into the air.
Sensing the incoming sword fingers, Redfield executed his prepared backward lean and retreated. Kong dashed forward, stepping rapidly to close the distance.
Rumble—
The upper half of the mountain ca crashing down, causing the earth to shake violently.
Redfield's heart skipped a beat, his balance faltering slightly, unable to steady himself in ti.
Kong's sword fingers seized the opportunity and struck toward him.
Not caring about his image, Redfield dropped flat onto his back, rolled sideways, and imdiately rose to one knee.
He thrust his longsword into the ground, unleashing sword aura.
The ground instantly erupted, surging toward Kong.
At close range, a towering wave of rock and soil dozens of ters high swept toward him.
Boom—!!!
The ground trembled.
Redfield rose to his feet, gripping his sword with both hands, and stomped forward.
He flew low across the ground like a missile, charging at Kong. His hands moved the sword behind him, building up power.
A sharp flash of sword light streaked out.
The rocky soil that had buried Kong was instantly sliced in two.
Boom!
A massive dark figure burst up from beneath the debris.
Kong appeared in mid-air, lifting a massive boulder several dozen ters wide with one hand.
Buzz—
The giant stone was instantly covered in pitch-black Armant Haki.
With fingers gripping tight, he hurled it with all his might.
The black stone plumted like a teor toward Redfield.
Watching the boulder dive toward him, Redfield sliced horizontally with his Haki-coated left hand.
The stone was split cleanly in two, and his sword-wielding right hand thrust forward.
Clang!
The sound of tal clashing rang out.
Kong had followed right behind the stone and punched toward Redfield, only to be blocked by the sword.
Redfield held the attack for just an instant before the overwhelming force pushed him back continuously.
A series of explosive sounds rang out.
Each retreating step left crater-like impressions, as if bombs had gone off.
The mont he managed to disperse most of the force and stand firm, Redfield raised his left knee—
And drove it directly into Kong's chin.
Kong's head and body were sent flying upward uncontrollably.
Redfield's sword slashed toward Kong's neck.
But as Kong flew upward, he lashed out with a lightning-fast right kick—
Directly slamming into Redfield's chest.
Boom!!!
The two separated.
Kong broke into a cold sweat, breathing heavily, the sharp tips of his hair sliced clean off.
Redfield's chest had caved in slightly, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth—Kong's kick had hit its mark despite being a counter.
His blade, thrown off by the blow, had slashed a little higher, slicing off only Kong's hair instead of landing a solid hit.
It hadn't caused any real damage, while he himself had broken three ribs.
Dusting himself off lightly, Redfield said calmly:
"As expected of the Fleet Admiral, Kong."
Armant Haki surged over Kong's arms.
"Are you ready to surrender yet?"
Redfield raised his longsword and aid it at Kong.
Swoosh—
His entire body beca like a giant sword tip, surging with sword aura as he shot straight toward Kong.
Even a top-tier martial artist like Kong couldn't fully dodge that kind of speed.
A brilliant, massive sword light tore through the mountain, split the island, and sliced the sea—stretching endlessly into the horizon.
...
In the town below, Garp stood with Tsuru, using Observation Haki to sense the battle between the two.
Watching the sword aura split sky and sea, Garp couldn't help but mutter:
"That's a bit much... This kind of swordsmanship."
"Even stronger than Golden Lion."
Vice Admiral Tsuru frowned.
"Get ready."
"We absolutely cannot let Redfield escape."
"A man alone, with nothing to fear."
"If he escapes... it'll be a huge problem."
Garp laughed heartily:
"Don't worry. There's no way we're letting him escape."
He continued watching the battlefield in the distance.
...
On the mountain peak—
The two passed by each other in a flash.
Kong looked at the deep, bone-revealing sword wound on his arm and instantly coated it in Haki.
"How many more of those attacks can you manage?"
Redfield raised his sword again and aid at Kong.
"And how many more can you dodge?"
Suddenly, Redfield chuckled softly.
"I see."
"Eight tis, huh."
Kong frowned. Reading my mind... Troubleso.
What Kong didn't know was that although Redfield wore a light smile, his heart had sunk.
He had figured out the amount of power needed to injure Kong.
But to unleash that power eight tis... was impossible.
He might manage five more at best—then he'd be completely spent.
At that point, he'd be at his enemy's rcy.
With a twist of the sword, Redfield shifted from a thrust to a slash.
A crimson sword aura hundreds of ters long shot out, carving deep circular ravines into the earth it crossed.
Seeing the oncoming crimson sword energy, Kong raised his fist and slamd it forward.
"HAAAAA!!!!"
Sword aura and fist collided, sparking crackles of lightning.
Kong's arm suddenly tripled in size and forced the aura back.
The crimson slash abruptly reversed course, now flying toward Redfield at even greater speed.
Redfield snorted coldly, and the sword aura from his blade surged forth.
Boom—!!!
A mushroom cloud nearly a kiloter high rose into the sky.
