Alexander’s POV
"Serena..." My voice was ragged now, and my breathing ca out in pants. "Tell to stop."
Her innocent eyes stared into mine, and she didn’t speak.
Before I could understand what was happening, my lips crashed onto hers. The self-control I had always prided myself in was thrown out the window the mont my lips were in contact with hers.
It was just four days ago where my tongue was exploring her mouth.
I bit her lower lips, and she let out a soft gasp. This provided the entry I needed. Our tongues battled with each other, fighting for dominance.
After what seed like forever, I finally let go of her. She buried her face in my chest.
"Alexander, we... we shouldn’t be doing this." She breathed against my chest.
I held her carefully in my arms. "Why shouldn’t we? Serena, we can’t deny the pull, the attraction we feel towards each other."
"You are my boss!" She scread, pulling away from my grasp.
Serena took deep breaths. "We are of different worlds. We shouldn’t be involved with each other."
Her breath was shaky as she looked up to with tears in her eyes.
Sighing, I took a step back and said. "You say one thing, but your body does the other." Then—
—I took a step forward and slowly moved my index finger against her exposed arm.
"You—" I paused, making sure she felt my touch. "—react to my touch. Why should we deny what we feel because I am your boss?"
I leaned in and whispered.
She shivered, her breaths coming out in pants. There was a sense of satisfaction within , knowing that I was able to affect Serena this way.
"Give in, Serena." I urged. "We shouldn’t fight it."
"But if you want to stop, then I’d stop." While saying this, my fingers were already moving in between her thighs.
She snapped her eyes shut, while breathing heavily.
"If you tell to stop, I’ll stop."
"Serena, should I stop?"
"P-please... please do... do not stop." Her voice was trembling. "Alexander, help ." She whispered softly.
Her soft voice was all it took for to lose my self-control. I quickly scooped her up.
"Where’s your room?" I asked.
She pointed to a door, and I walked straight to the door. Serena looked up at with anticipation written all over her face.
I quickened my pace, and before long, the door to her room was kicked open. I placed her on that bed, hovering over her.
Swallowing, my gaze landed on her chest. How could soone be so beautiful?
"Serena, are you sure you want this? If you don’t, then I—"
"Alexander," she warned, then pulled close to her. I was shocked by her strength. "If you keep asking if I want this, then I’d be forced to take matters into my hands."
Her warning echoed in my ears. It made feel breathless and intoxicated.
And God help ... I loved it.
The mont her lips crashed into mine again, every ounce of restraint I’d gathered shattered. She tasted exactly how she always looked—soft, warm, maddeningly sweet.
I deepened the kiss, my hand sliding up to cradle the back of her neck, angling her closer as if the distance of a single breath was unbearable.
Serena’s fingers curled into the collar of my shirt, pulling down, pulling in.
She wasn’t timid, neither was she unsure. She was hungry.
Her lips moved against mine with a need that stole my breath, and I felt a low groan rumble in my chest.
"Serena..." I whispered against her mouth, my voice trembling. "You have no idea what you do to ."
She tugged again—impatient this ti—and I followed willingly, pressing her deeper into the softness of the mattress. Her hands slid up my chest, slow, exploring, as if she were morizing the shape of .
Every place she touched felt like it ca alive.
"You shouldn’t..." she breathed, though her fingers contradicted her as they traced my jaw, my throat, my shoulders.
"You really shouldn’t look at like that."
"How?" I murmured, brushing my lips along her cheek, trailing soft, sweet kisses down to the pulse fluttering wildly at her neck.
"Like... like you want to devour ."
I smiled against her skin. "I do."
Her breath caught—sharp, helpless.
I felt her shiver beneath , her legs brushing lightly against mine in a way that forced my lungs to stall.
My hand slid down her arm, slow enough for her to feel every fraction of movent, every intention. When my fingers brushed the back of her thigh, she inhaled sharply, her grip on my shirt tightening.
"Alexander..." my na slipped out like a plea, like surrender.
"Tell to stop," I whispered, though my forehead rested against hers, barely holding myself together.
"Say the word and I’ll walk out that door."
I wanted to be sure that she wanted just as much as I wanted her.
Her eyes fluttered open, glassy and overwheld. "I don’t want you to stop," she whispered.
.
Her whole body trembled.
I cupped her cheek gently, my thumb stroking the flushed heat of her skin.
"Serena... look at ."
When her gaze locked onto mine, everything inside tightened painfully.
"Good girl," I breathed, kissing her again—slower this ti, deeper.
She lted, completely, beautifully, into .
Her legs brushed mine again, this ti intentionally, and a low groan slipped from my lips before I could stop it. I kissed her harder, desperate, as if needing her to feel the storm she caused inside .
Her hands slid beneath my shirt, tentative but burning. The mont her palms touched my skin, my breath hitched—my control thinning.
"Serena..." I warned, voice my voice heavy with desire.
She gave a small, shy smile and dragged her fingertips along my spine.
I almost lost it.
I kissed her again, softer now, reverent, my lips tracing the corner of her mouth, her jaw, the slope of her throat.
Her breaths ca in shallow, trembling waves, her body arching toward mine as though answering a call neither of us could deny.
"Alexander..."
Her voice was a whisper of need.
"Don’t stop."
"I won’t," I promised, my forehead pressed to hers.
Not unless she asked.
And she wasn’t asking.
Her fingers slid up, curling into my hair, pulling down again. Her thighs brushed mine, her breath mingling with mine, her heartbeat wild against my chest.
"I need you, Alexander. I really do."
Everything else faded—noise, worry, logic, consequences.
There was only heat.
I kissed her again, one hand threading with hers, the other trailing down the elegant curve of her waist in a touch ant to undo every defense she had left.
She gasped softly, her back arching and the world dissolved into the pull of her.
"I... need... you."
