Ivy Kensington followed the Eastwood family’s butler inside. Before they even entered through the main door, she heard Mrs. Eastwood’s assertive words, and stood awkwardly on the spot.
It seed like Sharon Langley’s request for her to find Isaac Eastwood was probably going to fall through.
Isaac Eastwood lowered his weary eyes. He had been struggling between Sharon Langley and his mother for so long, and honestly, it was exhausting.
Mrs. Eastwood said, "Isaac, listen to your mother. Break things off with that Sharon Langley! You’re a big director; what kind of girl can’t you et? Why hang yourself on Sharon Langley?"
Isaac looked down, silent, and it was unclear if he even heard her words.
Mrs. Eastwood added, "I know a girl who just graduated from a design university abroad. She’s obedient and well-behaved. I’ll bring her ho for you to see next ti."
Isaac was silent for a while and finally made a sound of agreent.
Ivy Kensington had originally been about to go in, but after hearing Mrs. Eastwood’s words, she was filled with anger instead.
Mrs. Eastwood completely looked down on Sharon Langley. Not only that, but she even encouraged Isaac to break up with her!
What a good girl Sharon is, why should she be treated like this!
Ivy was furious and wanted to rush in to defend Sharon Langley, but just as she stepped into the Eastwood family’s doorstep, she heard Isaac nod and agree. Instantly, Ivy stopped in her tracks.
She blinked in disbelief.
All along, Isaac had been very fond of Sharon Langley. Even though Sharon had previously rejected him multiple tis due to her own issues, he had not given up.
But now, in this situation, he actually chose to give up on Sharon Langley?
Ivy felt a bitter pang inside, a sudden urge to cry for her dear Sharon who was being treated unfairly.
Sharon Langley saw Isaac as a lifeline; her first task was to ask Ivy to find Isaac. Yet unexpectedly, he was already starting to compromise because of his mother’s dissatisfaction with Sharon!
Ivy felt cold inside.
Now, going in was useless. Isaac’s attitude just now said it all.
This ti, with the Langley family in trouble, he was surely going to stand by and do nothing.
Ivy was numb, she didn’t even dare to tell Sharon Langley about Isaac’s behavior.
Sharon Langley cooperated with the police interrogation and was released the next day.
The first thing she did was go to find Isaac Eastwood.
Yesterday, Ivy had said she would go find Isaac, but then Sharon hadn’t heard a reply, making her uneasy and necessitating a personal visit to Isaac.
Isaac was currently busy planning a new show, and Sharon knew he was at the Entertainnt Plaza, so she took a cab there imdiately after leaving the police station.
"I’m sorry, Miss Langley, Director Eastwood is not here."
The receptionist seed to know she was coming, and tried to dismiss her with just that sentence upon seeing her.
Sharon’s eyelids twitched wildly, a sense of foreboding swirling in her heart.
It was the first ti Isaac had disappeared without saying anything by her side.
Could sothing have happened to him?
Sharon was worried he might be hurt, so she couldn’t help but walk towards the elevator and call him at the sa ti.
Seeing no answer, she left a ssage: "Isaac, it’s Sharon. Why aren’t you answering my calls? Did sothing happen? I’m really worried. If you get this, please send a ssage back."
Feeling anxious, she finished speaking and was about to take the elevator down.
Then she heard a familiar phone ring, and Sharon paused in her tracks.
