Sebastian Blackwood blocked Claire Crowley’s number, but this call was picked up by Owen Rhodes.
"Master Blackwood, these are the photos sent by Miss Crowley."
Owen carefully handed over the phone.
Even as an outsider, looking at the photos of the child made him feel heartbroken, let alone Sebastian Blackwood as her father.
Even though he did not like Claire Crowley, the child was still his, linked by blood.
Sure enough, when the man saw the photo clearly, his handso face instantly darkened like a gathering storm, stood up with his long legs, and walked out.
"Owen, prepare the car!"
Sebastian arrived at Claire Crowley’s hospital room close to eight at night.
The marks on the child’s face had yet to fade.
Claire, upon seeing the man enter, quickly ran over crying, first showing the face that was hit today by Sharon Langley and Ivy Kensington.
"Sebastian, look how excessive Ivy Kensington was today!"
Under the light, Sebastian only glanced briefly.
It was clear the blows were heavy, Claire’s entire cheek was swollen, and so areas were even bloodied; it looked very frightful.
"Indeed, Master Blackwood."
Several attendants ca over, saying: "This afternoon, Miss Kensington charged in with such a degree of violence that it was terrifying! Such ruthlessness, we couldn’t even stop her."
Sebastian simply listened with a cold expression as they finished speaking and then asked, "Where is the child?"
Upon hearing this, Claire secretly clenched her teeth.
For her, he truly showed no care.
Yet for this daughter, he was entirely attentive!
"Go, bring the child over."
Claire instructed, and shortly after, an attendant ca over holding the child who had fallen asleep after drinking milk.
The child was only a little over two months old, with tender skin, and the handprint on her face looked even scarier than Claire’s.
The temperature in the room instantly dropped, as if swept by a cold wind.
Sebastian’s expression turned severe, "Tell , who hit her?"
Claire had an expression as if wanting to speak but stopped, her eyes reddened without a sound.
The attendants said from the side: "Master Blackwood, who else could it be? Naturally, it was Miss Kensington!"
"She, along with her friend, rushed in and first beat Miss Crowley, then picked up Miss Child who was still sleeping. At that ti, Miss Crowley cried and begged her not to hit, but she still slapped Miss Child twice!"
"Poor Miss Child, only two months old, to be bullied like this. Watching this was truly heartbreaking."
Sebastian’s eyes were still dark and severe, and the hand by his side slowly clenched into a fist.
Impossible.
Ivy Kensington could not have done such a thing; he believed she hit Claire Crowley.
But hitting the child, he could never believe it.
Even though the child wasn’t her biological daughter, he had seen her love for the child, how could she possibly raise her hand against her?
Claire saw his deanor and knew his heart was still inclined to Ivy Kensington, feeling both hate and envy at once.
She cried and said: "Sebastian, you don’t believe , do you? The injuries on the child’s face weren’t inflicted by Ivy Kensington, or are you suggesting that I did it myself?"
"The child is my daughter; how could my heart bear to hurt my own daughter! My poor child, bullied and unable to resist, forcibly endured these slaps! She originally hadn’t recovered from an allergy, and now suffered this pain, my precious child..."
