The man who was steadily supporting her suddenly fell onto the road unexpectedly.
Yet, in the mont of falling, he instinctively protected her head.
Ivy Kensington felt a pang in her heart due to his action, quickly patting his face, "Sebastian, what’s wrong with you?"
Upon touching him, she realized his body temperature was alarmingly high.
He had a fever!
Carefully observing him, Ivy saw his thigh muscles soaked and swollen, constantly bleeding.
That was the injury he got previously at Blackwood Manor when Claire Crowley had gone crazy and bumped into her. He got hurt pulling her away!
He’s never ntioned it before, only now does she realize how serious it is.
Originally, it would have healed soon, but because he went into the water to save soone, his wound got infected again, leading to the incessant high fever.
"Sebastian, you idiot!"
Ivy couldn’t help but blafully slap his chest.
In this desolate mountain wilderness, where could she find so fever-reducing dicine for him.
"Don’t move."
Sebastian briefly regained consciousness, his pale lips looked even more colorless now as he grasped Ivy’s wrist, pulling her into his embrace.
"Behave."
Due to the fever, his voice was especially deep and magnetic, as if coaxing her.
Ivy bit her lip, her heart aching.
"Okay, I won’t move. But you’re having a fever now, I need to find so fever-reducing herbs for you."
Luckily, she had learned about herbs and knew their uses, otherwise he might truly end up burnt senseless here.
Not daring to go far while searching for herbs, since it was night and Sebastian had a fever, leaving him alone wouldn’t be safe.
Perhaps due to her luck, under a bit of moonlight, she actually found so herbs with cooling and fever-reducing properties.
Gently digging up a few, Ivy hurried back to Sebastian’s side.
The wind was strong at night, their wet clothes were almost dry, which made his fever even worse.
Ivy didn’t care about anything else, she crushed the herbs, then held Sebastian’s chin, forcing him to open his mouth to let the juice drip in.
However, he only took a small sip and refused to drink any more.
"Sebastian, do you really want to beco an idiot from this fever!"
Ivy was a bit anxious, a persistent high fever can truly damage the brain, he ended up this way saving her, what if he becos foolish...
Swallowing forcefully, she resolutely held the dicine in her mouth and brazenly kissed the man’s thin lips.
Reluctant to open his mouth when drinking dicine, but he knew when soone was kissing him.
He opened his lips and tongue willingly, even gently biting her when he felt the woman’s soft lips!
Ivy was both annoyed and embarrassed, this bastard couldn’t help taking advantage even now!
After feeding the dicine juice, Ivy found so hemostatic herbs nearby, then firmly tore open the fabric of Sebastian’s injured thigh and applied the herbs on him.
After finishing everything, Ivy vaguely felt so pain in her lower abdon.
Her face turned pale, knowing that this was a bad sign for the baby inside her, she and Sebastian had to find a place to rest, otherwise, they’d both suffer.
Just as she was thinking, a dazzling light flashed over.
"Soone!"
A middle-aged woman with a flashlight on her head, dressed in country attire, ca over. As she saw Ivy, her usually dim eyes brightened instantly.
Hey, all this effort paid off wonderfully!
She actually ran into them!
