The other side.

The banquet had officially begun, and Ivy Kensington hadn’t waited long before Ethan Ford arrived. She took his arm and they entered together.

As soon as she walked in, she beca the center of attention.

Because her dress was truly eye-catching!

The silver sequins on the hem swayed and dragged, resembling countless stars falling to the earth. Not to ntion Ivy’s exquisite figure, which made the dress appear even more alluring.

Beautiful!

It was truly hard to look away.

Ethan Ford noticed the envious glances people were casting at Ivy and lowered his head slightly, saying, "Ivy, you’ve really stunned everyone tonight."

Upon hearing this, Ivy chuckled softly.

The gown had been given to her by soone else, and she hadn’t thought much of it, simply feeling it suited the occasion perfectly, so she wore it.

Just then, there was a commotion at the banquet hall.

Sebastian Blackwood had arrived!

Unlike the disheveled state from the night before, tonight the man was dressed in a dark iron-gray suit, and his height of six foot two exuded an aura of command. His long, powerful legs wrapped in suit pants were both chaste and alluring.

The ladies present couldn’t help but swallow hard.

Master Blackwood’s appearance and build were utterly captivating!

Ivy followed the crowd’s gaze and looked over, and their eyes unexpectedly entangled with each other. She saw his deep black eyes linger on her for a couple of seconds before the corners of his lips curled into a slight smile.

That smile made Ivy’s heart race inexplicably for a couple of seconds.

The scoundrel, who was he smiling at!

The ladies nearby widened their eyes when they saw Sebastian’s smile.

"Oh my, Master Blackwood actually smiled just now. Who’s the lucky one who caught the eye of Master Blackwood?"

"I’m so envious, if Master Blackwood smiled at , my soul would probably be stolen away."

Everyone chattered on, while Sebastian imdiately retracted his smile and turned back to his indifferent expression the mont Ivy looked away.

Mayor Crowley noticed and quickly approached.

"Master Blackwood, your arrival has truly brought glory to my humble dwelling!"

Initially worried that Sebastian wouldn’t co because of the incident the other night, it seed there was still hope for the Crowley family to make ands since he was willing to be here!

"Master Blackwood, could you please do us the honor of starting the opening dance?"

Mayor Crowley asked with a sycophantic smile.

Sebastian’s deep eyes narrowed, his gaze drifting back to Ivy, noticing her standing close beside Ethan, a flicker of displeasure crossing his heart.

This made Mayor Crowley’s heart skip a beat, could there be sothing that Master Blackwood was unhappy about?

The next second, Sebastian said, "I think a masked dance would be better."

Being a shrewd man, Mayor Crowley imdiately understood.

"Sure thing, Master Blackwood. I’ll have soone arrange it right away."

Thus, five minutes later, everyone present was given identical masks: the won wore little foxes, and the n wore tigers.

"Snap—"

With a gentle sound, the lights went out, plunging the room into darkness.

At this point, Claire Crowley stepped out wearing the sa dress as Ivy!

A confident smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.

Ivy’s knockoff dress had inadvertently done her a favor; now the two of them were identical, and Master Blackwood wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

Once the opening dance concluded, she’d remove her mask, making it the perfect ans to create a scandal!

Claire smiled, deliberately positioning herself near Ivy.

For a mont, people were stunned.

"Hey, why are there two people who look exactly the sa? Who is who?"

At this mont, Sebastian Blackwood approached.

Claire’s heart was pounding. She was so nervous...
