Serenity Gardens.
Ivy Kensington had just parked the car and hadn’t yet entered the elevator when a hot body suddenly pressed against her from behind, a strong male scent enveloping her.
Ivy found herself encircled in an embrace. Sebastian Blackwood looked down at her; the woman’s slender, fair neck was perfect for a necklace.
Tonight’s Heart of True Love was indeed a worthwhile purchase.
"What are you doing?"
Ivy knew it was him, and anger was bubbling inside her, prompting her to instinctively try to push the man away.
Sebastian easily grasped her slender wrist and chuckled softly, "Are you upset?"
Ivy maintained a cold expression, "Let go of ."
"I won’t."
For the first ti, Sebastian brazenly refused, drawing even closer to Ivy as he spoke.
Angry, Ivy opened her mouth to bite the large hand holding her.
"Hiss."
To her surprise, Sebastian didn’t dodge, allowing her to bite him.
Only when her teeth began to ache did he release her, and Ivy noticed the mark left with a trace of blood, feeling slightly awkward.
"You didn’t pull back on your own, so don’t bla ."
"Hmm, I know."
Sebastian agreed good-naturedly, showing no signs of anger.
This was so unlike him!
The more he behaved like this, the more annoyed Ivy felt, replying coldly, "If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving."
"Who said there’s nothing?"
This ti, Sebastian didn’t give her a chance to be willful. He forcefully pulled her back into his arms, parted her long hair, and personally placed a faintly glimring necklace around her neck.
As Ivy looked down, she saw it was indeed the Heart of True Love that he had auctioned tonight.
"Do you like it?"
Sebastian was satisfied to see the Heart of True Love shining on her beautiful neck, a faint smile on his lips.
Ivy said, "Wasn’t this ant for Nina Shaw?"
"Who said it was for her?"
Sebastian replied without any hesitation, "From the beginning, it was ant for you."
For her...
Ivy’s heart trembled as she suddenly recalled what he said at the auction, "As its na suggests, it’s for the beloved."
This man, he actually understood how to be romantic!
"Oh, it’s just okay."
Ivy gave a very polite comnt.
Sebastian playfully brushed the tip of her nose, "Indeed, it’s just okay; it’s you wearing it that makes it shine."
Ivy: "..."
Once again, she wondered whether Sebastian had taken so kind of course because how else did he suddenly beco so perceptive?
"Are you happy now? Will you remove from your blacklist?"
Sebastian began to push his luck by setting conditions.
Ivy wasn’t swayed; one necklace wasn’t enough to win her over. Impossible.
"No way; you broke your promise that night."
He clearly said he would return, yet he was nowhere to be seen.
Sebastian imdiately understood that this was the reason she was upset.
He explained, "That night, Julian Hawthorne returned to the country, and The Hawthorne Group’s project ran into a financing problem. I was helping him."
He had been busy until dawn and hadn’t spent ti with Nina Shaw.
Ivy didn’t believe him, "You can say whatever you want."
The words, filled with distrust, fell, and a surge of frustration suddenly rose in Sebastian’s handso brows.
"Ivy, why can’t you trust a little more?"
He questioned.
His words made Ivy find it amusing, "Master Blackwood, you never trusted before either."
Whenever sothing happened between her and Nina Shaw, he always believed her.
With that statent, Sebastian was left speechless.
He cleared his throat and sincerely promised, "It won’t happen again."
Ivy’s eyelashes trembled slightly, knowing she couldn’t keep treating Sebastian coldly; she had to give him a little sweetness at the right ti.
So, in the next second, she tiptoed and lightly kissed his lips.
"Got it."
