The news of Ian Langley’s marriage had reached the upper echelons of Veridia, and with the wedding approaching, many noble families had received invitations.
Although the Shaw family and the Langley Family were not on the best of terms, the Langley Family still sent an invitation to the Shaw family for the sake of appearances.
When the invitation reached Nina Shaw’s hands, she didn’t even glance at it, just tossed it into the trash can.

Nina Shaw’s close friend chid in, "I heard Sharon Langley even invited Ivy Kensington to be her bridesmaid. Birds of a feather flock together."

Ivy Kensington was helping Sharon Langley pick out earrings, thinking about how to match them to look the best.
Sharon hugged Ivy playfully, "After today, I’m leaving my single life behind, kind of exciting~"
Even though she had been engaged to soone like Keith Taylor before, it didn’t stop her from looking forward to her married life now.
Ivy genuinely felt happy for her, "Yeah, you’re definitely going to be happy."
At least, happier than she was.
At this mont, Sharon Langley’s fiancé, Isaac Eastwood, walked over.
He was about the sa age as Sharon, and as the youngest son of the Eastwood family, although he didn’t inherit the family business, he entered the film industry as a director. Over the past few years, he’s made one or two decent films and gained so recognition.
"Sharon, don’t be nervous tomorrow, I..."
Isaac had co to comfort Sharon but ended up stamring and didn’t manage to say a complete sentence, which made Sharon laugh out loud. "Oh dear, I won’t be nervous. Don’t worry."
A big-ti director who’s fild movies, yet he’s stuttering over comforting words.
While laughing, Sharon’s eyes revealed a hint of shyness.
This was a sign that Isaac cared for her, otherwise, he wouldn’t be this nervous.
Feeling a bit embarrassed at being teased, Isaac scratched his head. Seeing Ivy was there with Sharon, he didn’t stay longer. Instead, he advised, "I’ll head out first, if anything cos up, let know right away."
Sharon responded with a couple of "mm hmms."
Watching their sweet interaction, Ivy couldn’t help but smile, "Sharon, Mr. Eastwood is a really nice person."
Sharon nodded, "He is."
If she had indeed married Keith Taylor back then, happiness like this probably wouldn’t have been possible. All of this was thanks to Ivy, who helped her restore her appearance and resu a normal life.
After chatting for a while, Sharon felt a bit uncomfortable in her stomach. She told Ivy to wait a mont while she went to the bathroom.
Ivy waited for quite so ti, but Sharon didn’t return.
Suddenly, Ivy began to panic.
Could sothing have happened?
She quickly called Sharon, but the only response was the cold voice of the operator: "The number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable, please try again later..."
Ivy imdiately went out looking for her. Just then, Isaac was approaching with so desserts he had prepared for Sharon. Seeing Ivy, he politely asked, "Miss Kensington, is there sothing wrong?"
"Sharon is missing!"
The desserts in Isaac’s hand fell to the ground instantly, "Missing? How could that be..."
