Ivy Kensington remained silent, standing behind the group of maids cleaning, listening to them finish their conversation.

"Clap clap clap—"

She started clapping.

The group of maids suddenly turned pale.

They had all been transferred from the previous marital ho, had seen Ivy Kensington, and knew she had beco Mrs. Blackwood. They imdiately panicked.

"M-Mrs. Blackwood."

Ivy Kensington smiled faintly, "Weren’t you just calling low and saying you wanted to humiliate ? Why are you so scared now?"

With these words, the maids’ faces turned white and red by turns.

"Pah!"

Just then, a woman who was considered pretty among the maids stood up.

She was only twenty, ca from a decent family, and had beco a maid for the Blackwood family hoping to win over Sebastian Blackwood.

After finally seeing Dahlia Kensington leave, now Ivy Kensington had arrived, angering Joy Wyatt, "We’re not wrong, are we? You only qualified to marry Master Blackwood because you used your child to your advantage. Otherwise, would he even look at you?"

Joy Wyatt’s eyes were filled with disdain.

Although Ivy Kensington was sowhat attractive, she wasn’t worse off. She believed that once Master Blackwood saw her, he’d surely be moved.

Ivy Kensington continued to smile, "Then show your trick of using a child to gain favor?"

"You..." Because she didn’t have this capability, she had to work as a maid here. Joy Wyatt stamped her foot in anger, "You temptress! I just don’t have your despicable skills!"

Ivy Kensington felt a slight bitterness.

Everyone believed she had seduced Sebastian Blackwood to get the chance to have Ronnie, but that night, she had been a victim of a sche too...

She was about to speak when another cold, stern voice interrupted: "Outrageous."

It was Sebastian Blackwood.

He stood by Ivy Kensington, frowning and displeased, "Even a maid can walk all over you, Ivy Kensington? Is your only skill to lose your temper with ?"

Ivy Kensington: "..."

When did she ever dare to lose her temper with him? Besides, she barely said a few words before he arrived.

Joy Wyatt’s eyes sparkled at the sudden sight of Sebastian Blackwood, "Master Blackwood, you must see Ivy Kensington’s true nature, she is just a—"

Before she could finish, Sebastian Blackwood’s sharp gaze struck.

"Is this the quality of maids the Blackwood family hires?"

Quality...

These words drained the color from Joy Wyatt’s face. She wanted to explain, but Mrs. Langley quickly ran over, "I’m sorry, Master Blackwood, it’s my fault. I’ll definitely strengthen the managent of the maids."

Then she fiercely reprimanded, "What disgraceful behavior, daring to crash into the madam, expelled imdiately, never to be employed again!"

This move instantly silenced the other maids, who dared not gossip about Ivy Kensington again.

Though Ivy Kensington ca from humble origins, it was now clear that Master Blackwood showed her much affection; she was not to be provoked...

Ivy Kensington was also a bit surprised; she hadn’t expected Sebastian Blackwood to stand up for her.

Touching her belly, Ivy Kensington made a decision.

He was the child’s father; he had the right to know about this child’s existence.

"Mr. Blackwood."

Ivy Kensington began, preparing to confess about her nights spent with him under the guise of being Dahlia Kensington.

But just then, Owen Rhodes called, "Master Blackwood, the woman with the eagle mark on her collarbone has appeared. She insists on seeing you."

Sebastian Blackwood’s eyes grew dark, and he quickly responded, "Keep her there, I’ll be right over."

Soon, his figure vanished from sight.

Ivy Kensington felt slightly lost, but there would be other opportunities.

"Ding—"

A sudden text ssage appeared on her phone: [Do you really think you’ve secured your place as Mrs. Blackwood? Sebastian Blackwood only married you for your heart!]
