Sensing the spirit power released by the opponent...
This sounds simple, but all spirit powers seem alike, only the thod of sensing differs. To distinguish among them is no easy task.
Everyone turned their gaze to Igor, obviously hoping he would continue.
Igor scratched his head, clearly he had mastered this thod, but his lack of expressive ability made it difficult for him to articulate the details.
Faced with expectant eyes, he was forced to stamr; it was not his intention, but he could only show this deanor now.
"Their... their released spirit power, that energy is colorless."
Colorless! This explanation shocked everyone. Did it an Igor understood the Fighter’s Environnt Sensing Skills and could see the colors exhibited by spirit power? If so, the task of distinguishing would fall to the Fighters because besides them, no one could sense the colors of spirit power!
But before anyone could ask, Igor directly denied it.
"Our normal spirit power cos in various colors with no similarities, but their released spirit power seems cast from the sa mold, exactly the sa, with no difference at all."
This explanation clearly wasn’t the Fighter’s Environnt Sensing Skills; those skills rely sensed the emotional colors of others through spirit sensing.
What Igor described pertained to spirit power itself...
The group was puzzled, how could Igor directly see the colors of spirit power?
"Igor, how do you distinguish these colors?" Dean Hoffman seed very interested in Igor’s explanation.
This, I can’t quite say, when seeing the release of spirit power I naturally sense its colors." Igor answered truthfully.
"Do you an you see, not sense them, right?" Dean Hoffman continued his inquiry.
"Uh... let think." Igor was sowhat surprised by Hoffman’s question.
"I’ll now release so spirit power; feel it carefully to decide whether you see or sense it." Dean Hoffman released a bit of spirit power.
"I see it." Igor confidently replied, this ti he was sure.
"Good, now I roughly understand." Dean Hoffman reflected.
"Dean, does Igor..." Stim hurriedly asked, slightly puzzled by Hoffman’s reflection.
"I know what you want to say, but this isn’t related to Igor’s talent." Dean Hoffman replied to Stim.
"Uh, I originally thought Igor’s unique talent granted him Mind-boggling Eyes..." Stim admitted he guessed wrong, slightly embarrassed.
"Mind-boggling Eyes are a form of spirit power application; I asked Igor whether he saw or sensed to rule it out." Dean Hoffman explained.
"So, what is Igor’s situation then?" Stim remained puzzled.
"This isn’t a special ability; it’s a synesthetic response from prolonged contact with spirit power." Dean Hoffman clarified.
"Synesthetic response?" Stim pondered the term, familiar with it. The interconnected spirit sensing shared among various adventurers with class gives each their perceptive traits. Each adventurer’s thod for sensing spirit power is unique, different in form but the essence remains the sa.
The various thods for sensing spirit power are synesthetic reactions, the synesthetic response.
Simply put, it’s the instinctive reaction that cos naturally when you’ve beco extrely familiar with sothing.
Like soone facing a thief’s knife; a seasoned person remains fearless, while a novice would panic. Despite differing perceptions, understanding the threat remains similar, whether fearing or ignoring the thief’s knife, the danger is recognized.
Igor’s thod of analysis is similar to this application.
But this requires a premise; repeated exposure is needed for instinctive reactions. Without knowledge of life, one can’t judge whether a thief’s knife signifies threat or goodwill, right?
Igor’s encounters with spirit power weren’t frequent, yet each interaction left a deep impression, allowing him to deeply understand spirit power. Coupled with his frequent journeys into the Inner World, communicating with spirits, Igor can be considered fairly well-acquainted with spirits.
"According to the Dean’s explanation, we might really identify those potential enemies."
"Not might be able to, but definitely able to!" Dean Hoffman corrected Stim’s statent.
"Understood, Dean." Stim’s eyes sparkled with excitent.
"We’ll have our hands full next." Dean Hoffman sighed, "Everyone must exert their own strengths, we must strive!"
Igor didn’t quite understand Dean Hoffman’s aning, puzzled, he looked to Stim.
"Dean, we’ll utilize every resource to summarize insights; patterns will be found, we scholars are ant for this, so don’t worry, we’ll find synesthetic thods." Stim assured Dean Hoffman while explaining to Igor.
Igor finally understood; Dean Hoffman aid to find a concise thod for everyone, but since perceptions of spirit power vary, finding a pattern seed impossible!
"But, from which aspect will you begin?"
"That’s not your concern. We scholars have our thods, just as adventurers uncover things we don’t find." Dean Hoffman winked at Igor.
Igor was soone who questioned everything.
"But we’ll collaborate with you; solely summarizing isn’t practical. Collaborative effort is key."
