C517 – Six Paths of Hell Greed
Previously, Jiang Hao had scoured a multitude of myths and legends due to the ergence of spectral beings. In many of these tales, ng Po stood at the head of the Bridge of Helplessness, doling out her forgetfulness soup to the passing spirits. Jiang Hao was nearly certain that this indeed was ng Po herself! Yet, given her current state, it was unclear how long it would take for her to fully materialize.
Observing this yet-to-be-ford ng Po, it seed likely that the other great powers within the Underworld were also in the early stages of coalescing. They didn’t even possess consciousness yet, rely existing as clumps of Yin Qi. With this realization, Jiang Hao breathed a sigh of relief. Still, caution was paramount.
Without further ado, Jiang Hao made his way toward the ethereal Bridge of Helplessness. Testing the bridge with his foot, he was surprised to find it solid enough to support his weight. With deliberate care, he walked across the uppermost layer.
Crossing the bridge and navigating a lengthy corridor, Jiang Hao entered an imnse hall, its vastness defying imagination. He was utterly astounded. The plaque above bore the inscription “Six Paths,” radiating an aura of primordial tilessness. The hall’s doors stood open, beckoning him to enter. Given his previous inability to enter the many open palaces along his journey, he wasn’t overly hopeful.
“Hmm?” To his astonishnt, Jiang Hao found himself stepping through the threshold. “Whoa, I’m in?” A surge of surprise washed over him, but it only heightened his wariness.
Jiang Hao proceeded with heightened vigilance, his senses on high alert. Deep within the palace, he encountered a colossal wheel, segnted into six distinct paths, each pulsating with the essence of reincarnation. Surrounding the palace were six pathways, each leading to a separate realm.
Gazing upon the massive wheel, Jiang Hao was struck with awe. “Could this be the fabled Reincarnation Disk of Six Tao? The exalted relic that dominates the Underworld?” He fixated on the spectral Reincarnation Disk of Six Tao for a long while before settling his racing heart. “It may not yet be a supre treasure, but it certainly possesses the potential to ascend to such greatness.”
With that thought, Jiang Hao’s heart ignited with fervor.
“Imagine the wealth if I could get my hands on it!”
But how could I possibly acquire it?
The Underworld is only just forming, and right now, it’s rely a unique concentration of Yin Qi!
Gazing at the ethereal Reincarnation Disk of Six Tao, Jiang Hao was overco with a pang of distress.
It was only then that he fully grasped the frustration of seeing sothing so desirable yet utterly unattainable.
However, in that mont, Jiang Hao noticed a cluster of Yin Qi gathering at the disk’s center.
Suddenly, he thought of ng Po!
“Wasn’t Granny ng created in the sa way?”
“Could it be, then, that this gathering Yin Qi is a deity born alongside the Reincarnation Disk of Six Tao?”
“And if so, could I possibly consu this special Yin Qi for myself?”
Once this idea took hold, it was unstoppable.
“Screw it, I’m going all in!”
With resolve, Jiang Hao clenched his jaw and activated his Supernatural Foot Power, instantly crossing over to the center of the Reincarnation Disk of Six Tao.
Though the disk remained intangible, it felt incredibly solid underfoot, much like standing on stone.
Arriving at the heart of the disk, Jiang Hao eyed the basketball-sized orb of special Yin Qi and resolved to assimilate it.
“Don’t hold it against !”
