Jiang Hao's comnt left Old Man Xu montarily dazed.
“What's wrong with ? Am I really that frightening?”
Then, it clicked. He grasped Jiang Hao's implication in an instant.
Old Man Xu's expression darkened to the shade of a scorched pan as he fixed Jiang Hao with a fierce glare, his beard bristling.
“You've got it all wrong, kid!”

Jiang Hao was taken aback. He hadn't anticipated the old man's desire to make him a disciple.
But what was with the jealousy in his eyes?

He looked at the old man, his face lighting up with excitent.

Jiang Hao watched the old man's charade continue and his gaze cleverly shifted. Noticing the two palm prints on the bench—one deeper than the other—he hatched a plan.
“But, Grandpa, the palm print I made is much deeper than yours, which ans my martial arts surpass yours!”
“Shouldn't it be you asking to be your master?”
Feigning innocence, Jiang Hao posed the question with caution.
At this, Old Man Xu stumbled, his masterful facade crumbling. He turned and hurried away!
“Hey, Grandpa, where are you off to? You're not going to take as your master anymore?”
Jiang Hao called out, his voice booming. Old Man Xu's stumble turned into a hastened stride, almost as if he were running away.
