C162 – Retreated in Shock
Behind him, his underlings quickly rushed to pick up the three n Jiang Hao had knocked away. They were right on Sun Qi’s heels as they made for the exit.
At that mont, even Jiang Hao was taken aback by Sun Qi’s timidity.
The others, seeing Sun Qi too chicken to even throw a punch at Jiang Hao, beat a hasty retreat, tails tucked.
Their admiration for Jiang Hao soared.
But Lee Xuan, trailing behind Sun Qi, was left utterly gobsmacked.
He had been banking on Sun Qi to get back at Jiang Hao for him.
Little did he know, Sun Qi would throw in the towel before the fight even began.
Panic set in.
Lee Xuan dashed after Sun Qi, blurting out, “Group Leader Sun, where are you off to? We had a deal—I pay you, you rough up Jiang Hao for !”
In his nervousness, Lee Xuan let the cat out of the bag for all to hear.
In a flash, the crowd caught on. Their eyes swiveled to Lee Xuan, fixing him with a glare that could cut glass.
“Damn, so it was Lee Xuan stirring up trouble all along!”
Upon hearing this, Sun Qi whirled around and gave Lee Xuan a look reserved for the utterly foolish.
The old adage rang true: Better to face a formidable enemy than to suffer a fool for a teammate.
Oblivious, Lee Xuan stood in their way like a thug, blocking Sun Qi and his crew.
“Group Leader Sun, co on, finish him off! Avenge !” Lee Xuan yelled at the top of his lungs.
Enraged, Sun Qi delivered a ferocious kick to Lee Xuan’s midsection.
“Ah—!”
“Ugh—!”
Lee Xuan doubled over, retching.
He writhed on the floor like a toppled gourd, clutching his stomach and wailing.
Sun Qi shot him a withering look, then, without another word, led his n to the doorway.
Just then, Jiang Hao, seeing Sun Qi back down without a fight, was far from pleased.
He spun around, snatched a pair of chopsticks from the table, and in the blink of an eye, the Lee’s Flying Knife skill was unleashed.
His arm beca a blur, and the chopsticks vanished from his grasp.
“Whoosh!”
“Clang, clang!”
With the sound of the air being sliced, the next mont, two chopsticks were suddenly sticking out of the door Sun Qi had reached for!
Most of the chopsticks had pierced the iron door, their upper halves still quivering.
Sun Qi, late to react, was visibly startled and instinctively jerked his hand back.
The others, alerted by the noise, turned their gazes toward the door.
Seeing the chopsticks embedded deep in the tal, their faces were a picture of shock.
A hush fell over the private room.
With effort, everyone’s eyes shifted to Jiang Hao’s table.
Sure enough, his pair of chopsticks was gone.
Everyone inhaled sharply, their eyes wide as they stared at Jiang Hao.
“Holy… Wow! Like petals caught in a whirlwind!”
“Is this Lee’s Flying Knife technique?”
“Does martial arts truly exist in this world?”

In that mont, as Sun Qi turned around, he locked eyes with Jiang Hao’s icy stare, sending a shiver down his spine.
Then, Jiang Hao’s calm voice cut through the chilly silence.
“Group Leader Sun, did I say you could leave?”
“Do you think you can just co and go as you please here?”
Jiang Hao’s voice was a cold rebuke.
Sun Qi trembled, fear coursing through him.
But he quickly regained his composure.
He had been intimidated by this young man several tis today!
His face twisted into an expression of deep displeasure.
Sun Qi glared at Jiang Hao and, through clenched teeth, managed to force out a few words.
“What do you want from now?”
