C117 – The Might of a Grandmaster

But what truly stunned everyone was what happened next. Xue Zixi stood up solemnly, bowed deeply to Jiang Hao, and offered a sincere apology.
“I apologize, Grandmaster Jiang, for my presumption!”
“The fifty million just now will serve as compensation for my impertinence. I am prepared to offer an additional one hundred million yuan annually, plus a three percent stake in Heavenly-Mansion Tavern, in hopes that Grandmaster Jiang will reconsider joining us.
Moreover, we promise not to disturb Grandmaster Jiang for trivial matters.”
Xue Zixi’s astonishing offer and the generous terms she proposed left everyone speechless.

Xue Zixi glanced at everyone with a hint of surprise and seed about to speak, but then she hesitated.
Ultimately, when she noticed Jiang Hao maintaining his usual serene deanor, she didn’t interfere.

“It happened naturally as I cooked. It didn’t seem like a big deal, so I didn’t ntion it to you all.”

Achieving Grandmaster status just by cooking?
With so many chefs in China, why were there only four recognized Grandmasters?
And he thought becoming a Grandmaster wasn’t a big deal?
Then what, indeed, would be considered a big deal?
