Chapter 2702: We are done with each other!
“What... What are you doing? You can’t get out of bed yet!”
“Baby Chu... Baby Chu...” she mumbled; the thought of the boy being taken away sans any news filled her with anxiety.
When the man pushed open the door and walked in, he saw her and the nurse having an argunt as the woman insisted on getting out of bed. He promptly rushed up to hold her.
“What are you thinking of doing?”
Hearing his voice, ng Qingxue’s body stiffened for a mont. She dazedly lifted her head, and when she saw that it was her forr boyfriend, her eyes turned red instantly.
“Yancheng... why are you here?”
“I...”
Without waiting for his explanation, she pushed him away with all her strength. “I don’t wanna see you... Go away... I don’t wanna see you again... Mu Yancheng, haven’t I told you that w-we’re done?”
The man’s eyes flinched and his facial expression tensed up montarily. “I’ve never said that I wanted to break things off with you; that’s your unilateral decision!”
She opened and closed her mouth without a word, but tears gushed forth from her eyes.
“What exactly do you want before you let go?”
Her almost supplicating tone made his heart ache for a while, especially when he saw her frail and helpless expression. Excruciating pain filled his chest as if his heart had been pierced through.
“Where... is the child?” Her face turned a shade paler as she fixed her gaze on him.
The man listened in confusion; he did not know which child she was referring to. “What child?”
Apparently, she had assud that the two n who had abducted Baby Chu were sent by him. She saw his bewildered look and was stunned. “He’s a five-year-old kid. Mu Yancheng, don’t play dumb with ! Didn’t you send two of your n to find ? They claim to be looking for the child; aren’t they looking for the unborn baby inside ?”
She panted heavily for a while before she grabbed his collar angrily. “Your n misinterpreted your aning and took Baby Chu away! You can do whatever you want with the baby inside , be it aborting this life or sothing else. This child is your flesh and blood, so you have the right to decide its life, too. I won’t hide or run away from you anymore, but Baby Chu is innocent!”
“I don’t understand what you an! Qingxue, did you misunderstand sothing?” He was absolutely baffled by now.
“Didn’t you send soone to find ?”
“Of course, I did, but I definitely didn’t instruct them anything else. I sent people to find you, not to take the life of the baby!” declared the man resolutely.
She was completely dumbfounded and her face turned ashen. “What did you say?”
He explained, “D’you know that I’ve been tracking you ever since you left ? It’s hard to find a lead, but once I did, I rushed here without hesitation. As for the child in your tummy, I’ll never abort it. I’ll be most happy if you’re willing to give birth to it for ; I’ll take up the responsibility of a father and raise him with you!”
Her pupils lost focus for a while, and she was no longer in the mood to listen to his explanation, for her mind was reminding her of a fact!
There was only one thing that preoccupied her mind: If those n were not sent by him, then who else could have sent them?
The man would never lie to her. If he said ‘no’, then it was not truly him.
