"A thousand or two Awakeners. Tens of thousands of Periphery mbers?"

"Just in Xida State there are a few thousand?"

"The power of the Rejuvenation Society is not small at all."

"But to keep a secret, all these mbers only have single-line contact with their superiors?"

"They don't even know the real na of the organization?"

"Hmm..."

Fang Ze lowered his head, lost in thought,

"Then... now that Cui Xuemin has been captured, as long as I get hold of a way to contact them, I could covertly make use of his subordinates, right?"

With this thought, a light sparked in Fang Ze's eyes,

"Right. Such a large number of disposable and expendable cannon fodder. It'd be a waste not to use them."

Thinking this way, Fang Ze did not reveal his thoughts. He pondered for a mont, then lifted his head, looked at Cui Xuemin, and imitating Bai Zhi's tone, said, "Since you don't want to talk about that, how about you tell us how your organization contacts each other?"

Cui Xuemin lay on the ground, silent.

Thanks to the lack of Mind Power Users in this world, although he remained silent, he didn't intentionally avoid Fang Ze's question in his mind...

After a minute, "Bai Zhi" looked at Cui Xuemin indifferently, "Still not talking? Where are the other perpetrators of the case now?"

Cui Xuemin continued to be silent.

Another minute passed, "Bai Zhi" asked again, "What is your role in the organization?"

Yet another minute,

"Do you have any other subordinates?"

Minute after minute,

"How do you assign tasks to your subordinates, and is there any secret signal for contact?"

It was unclear whether it was the oppressive atmosphere or the fact that a person turns into a wooden dummy if they stop thinking.

In any case, no matter what Fang Ze asked, Cui Xuemin did not utter a word in response, but he would casually think about or sneer at almost every question in his mind.

Of course, there was also a lot of despair about his current situation, and... cursing and mocking Bai Zhi.

However, no matter what, after excluding a lot of the useless information, Fang Ze still managed to extract so information he wanted from Cui Xuemin's intermittent inner monologue.

The Rejuvenation Society's organizational structure was divided into six levels: Head - Saint - ssenger - Senior mber - Ordinary mber - Periphery mber.

And Cui Xuemin was on the third level: ssenger. He was responsible for the entire Erald City and its five subordinate cities.

He had under him 2 Senior mbers (Fusers), 10 Ordinary mbers (Awakeners), and 89 Periphery mbers (Martial Artists). All were hidden in various cities.

Out of these, he had only t his superior Saint while being accompanied by the Senior mbers (Fusers).

The identities of the Ordinary mbers (Awakeners) had been reported to the superior Saint, but the Saint had not t them.

The Periphery mbers, on the other hand, were completely unknown to even the superior Saint and were directly under his managent.

Should an accident occur to him, a contingency plan would be activated by the superior Saint: The Senior mbers would be directly transferred to preserve strength; new contacts would be established with the Ordinary mbers to prevent loss of communication; and the Periphery mbers would be completely abandoned.

Therefore, Fang Ze could at least intercept the Periphery mbers under him.

They were Martial Artists who had gone through several years of training or people with the potential for Awakening. They were extrely good cannon fodder.

And if he were bolder, Fang Ze could disguise himself as Cui Xuemin and issue tasks to the Ordinary mbers (Awakeners).

The ans of communication between Cui Xuemin and his subordinates was also very simple: a communication Artifact.

The organization created a set of Mother-and-Child Extraordinary Artifacts for each ssenger to use for contact. The mother device would be with the ssenger, while the child devices would be in the hands of the subordinates, capable of passing ssages simply.

And because one could only open it by knowing the correct thod of using the Artifact, plus the fact that each ssage transfer contained a secret code, it was... actually quite safe...

After getting a clear picture of Cui Xuemin and his subordinates' situation, Fang Ze realized that his thod of impersonating Bai Zhi to inquire was indeed very useful.

Especially the part where he could listen to Cui Xuemin internally insulting Bai Zhi as he asked his questions, which was particularly amusing...

So, he seized the montum to chase the victory and continued to ask questions.

"What were you looking for in this massacre case?"

"Do you have any intelligence or clues about the mysterious organization that attacked you?"

"Aside from this task, do you have any other missions recently?"...

One question after another was posed.

Cui Xuemin was curled up in a corner, utterly mute.

He didn't respond or pay any attention to Fang Ze, as if he had beco deaf and dumb.

What's more, although he still occasionally thought about the questions Fang Ze asked unintentionally, gradually, his thoughts began to concentrate more and more.

Because... he finally started to feel that sothing was amiss.

It's true that this world doesn't have many Mind Power Users, but that doesn't an there are none. Cui Xuemin hadn't noticed at first, but that didn't an he would never notice...

With "Bai Zhi" continuing to ask questions, not caring about his silence, Cui Xuemin started to feel like he had overlooked sothing...

He sneakily observed the "Bai Zhi" in front of him.

Although the clothing and appearance were exactly like Bai Zhi, on closer inspection... it seed to lack so of Bai Zhi's noble aura and arrogance.

Once he had a hint of suspicion, he noticed even more incongruities.

Why didn't the posture of this Bai Zhi conform to noble etiquette?

The tone of conversation of this Bai Zhi also seed different from the real Bai Zhi?
