Fang Ze looked at the ti with a puzzled expression.
It was already late when he left the Sky Mother Ship, and now, after the negotiation with Jiang Cheng's father, it was already past 10 p.m.
Who would be looking for him at this ti?
With this in mind, he couldn't help but ask, "Who's looking for ?"
The bodyguard replied, "It's Mr. Jiang Cheng."
Upon hearing it was Jiang Cheng, Fang Ze imdiately felt disinterested. After all, he was already soone who could negotiate with Jiang Cheng's father, so there wasn't much to talk about with this junior, Jiang Cheng.
Thinking this, he couldn't help but yawn and then said, "Don't see him. Just say I've gone to bed."
The bodyguard, with a helpless look on his face, said, "But… we simply couldn't stop him and his n; they're already inside."
As they were talking, Jiang Cheng walked in slowly from outside with several n in black clothing.
Following him into Fang Ze's room, his n swiftly took positions at various corners of the room, while others took the two bodyguards aside to prevent them from interrupting Jiang Cheng's eting with Fang Ze.
While his n were taking control of Fang Ze's room, Jiang Cheng himself stepped into Fang Ze's bedroom. As he did so, he looked around Fang Ze's ho and casually remarked, "I didn't expect you to live in a place like this."
Fang Ze retorted impatiently, "If it displeases you that much, feel free to give a villa."
Jiang Cheng's expression froze, almost choking on the retort Fang Ze had thrown at him.
After catching his breath, he actually nodded in agreent, "Sure, no problem."
"Whatever kind of villa you want, I'll arrange for soone to deliver it to you tomorrow."
Hearing Jiang Cheng's words, Fang Ze raised an eyebrow, his gaze flickering slightly as he roughly guessed the purpose of Jiang Cheng's visit that day: he wanted to make peace.
Although Fang Ze had no idea what had gotten into Jiang Cheng's head, he wasn't interested in making peace.
After all, he had a life-and-death grudge against Jiang Cheng. Such enmity wasn't so easily settled.
With that thought, he yawned and deliberately said, "You're really generous with your spending. Then please, trouble yourself tomorrow to see my secretary to handle the property transfer."
"As for other matters, I'm not in the mood to talk."
"The door opens to the west, please take your ti leaving. I won't see you out."
Seeing Fang Ze avoiding the conversation again, Jiang Cheng, who had clearly co prepared today, quickly said with a smile, "Fang Ze, don't rush to refuse. I think we can talk."
He continued, "After all, I am a Municipal Councilor of Erald City, and you work in Erald City. Many things require my involvent."
Fang Ze replied coolly, "You're a councilor, and I happen to be the head of the Security Bureau."
"We are of equal rank; I don't need your help with anything."
Jiang Cheng, upon hearing this, imdiately responded with a smile, "My apologies. I misspoke. I shouldn't have said I'd help you, but rather that we could help each other."
"Look at it this way, there are only thirteen councilors in the entirety of Erald City. To get anything done, you can't do it without the councilors."
"And coming up, Erald City will beco the focus of the entire Eastern Region, with many important figures turning their attention here."
"Between us, although there are so conflicts, at the end of the day, they are all just misunderstandings. There aren't any grudges that can't be resolved."
"So, why don't we turn our militias into silk banners, how about it?"
Hearing Jiang Cheng's words, Fang Ze looked at him as if he were looking at an idiot, for a solid mont.
The initial conflict between the two did indeed start due to a misunderstanding: Jiang Cheng's n acted against Fang Ze on their own, without Jiang Cheng's knowledge.
But!
After that incident, back and forth, they had accumulated several life-and-death grudges!
Jiang Cheng actually had the gall to say "no hard feelings"?
So... the one being hunted down isn't you, thus it doesn't count as a grudge?
Have so sha!
Thinking this, Fang Ze didn't bother to keep up the act any longer.
He straightforwardly said, "You're right, there's really no huge grudge between us, because I simply don't consider you worth my attention."
"Because, you... don't qualify."
Hearing Fang Ze's words, Jiang Cheng's facial expression suddenly stiffened.
Being an extrely proud person, to lower himself to make peace this evening was already pushing his limit.
Now, being openly ridiculed by Fang Ze, the expression on his face couldn't hold.
His gaze turned cold as he looked at Fang Ze and then said, "What you an is, you definitely want to be enemies with ?"
Upon hearing his words, Fang Ze said helplessly, "Brother. Can't you have a little sha?"
"I've said you aren't worth being my enemy. Why do you insist on pushing your way to the front!"
"Is it because being my enemy makes you feel a little more dignified, despite your already scant worth?"
"Don't you know I even chat with your dad?"
"Going by seniority, I'm practically your uncle!"
Jiang Cheng: !
Honestly, at that mont, Jiang Cheng was truly irritated.
He looked at Fang Ze and said darkly, "Fang Ze, I deigned to co to you for peace because of the impending opportunities in Erald City."
"Yet you've humiliated several tis!"
"Aren't you afraid I'll kill you right here and now?"
Upon hearing his words, Fang Ze beca serious for the first ti that evening.
His body, which had reached the Blood Exchange realm, tensed up slowly, and with indifferent yet sharp eyes, he looked at Jiang Cheng as his aura began to rise increntally, "Just you?"
With that, he scanned the n Jiang Cheng had brought along, "Or rather, just you guys?"
