Fang Ze carefully walked towards the side where the gate stood open, peering inside.

Behind the black gate, there was a pitch-dark corridor, without any lights, so nothing at all was clear.

He could only feel tendrils of chill seeping out from inside.

A gentleman does not stand under a dangerous wall, so Fang Ze tried to call out to Jun, letting him explore the doorway first.

Erging from Fang Ze's shadow, Jun perford a slight bow towards Fang Ze, then turned into a shadow and stealthily headed towards the black gate.

Thanks to their psychic link, even though the shadow blended into the surrounding environnt, Fang Ze's gaze could still follow him closely.

Soon, Jun arrived at the gate.

He lingered at the entrance for two seconds, then tried to slip inside.

But just as his shadow was about to touch the corridor, suddenly, the iron gate emitted a beam of white light that precisely hit Jun, then he saw Jun being ejected from the shadows and tumbling to the ground.

Fortunately, although the gate refused entry to Jun, it did not harm him.

Seeing this, Fang Ze knew that whether it was a dragon's pool or a tiger's den, he had to traverse it himself.

With that thought, Fang Ze straightened his clothes, then summoned Jun back into his own shadow and stepped inside.

Indeed, this ti, with Fang Ze entering, the gate did not put up any resistance, and the white light only flickered slightly, as if conducting a scan, and then it accepted Fang Ze's passage, not even refusing Jun entry once more.

Fang Ze walked with caution through the gate, and sure enough, there was a dark and deep corridor behind it.

Fang Ze tried to light a candle and then carefully examined the corridor before him.

The corridor wasn't long, only about ten ters, overall narrow, resembling an underground passage. Whether it was the ceiling, the floor, or the walls, all were built of black stone, giving it an ancient and grand appearance.

At the end of the corridor, there was another black iron gate that was also wide open.

The two gates were perfectly aligned on a straight line, facing each other, and in the center of the line, there was another door, though unlike the previous two iron gates, this door was shut.

Fang Ze cautiously approached the door in the middle of the corridor.

This door was different from the ones at the Late-Night Investigation Room.

Both doors were over two ters high, but this door was entirely bronze in color and seed more upscale than that of the Late-Night Investigation Room.

And on the bronze door, there were intricately elegant patterns, with twisted vine carvings on the doorfra extending onto the door itself. It looked very imposing.

Fang Ze gently touched the bronze door, then he scrutinized it closely in the candlelight.

That's when he was shocked to discover that this bronze gate was covered in a thin layer of faint white fluorescence, similar to when the iron door of the Late-Night Investigation Room had undergone changes.

At that mont, Fang Ze suddenly had an epiphany: it seems that the next target was to open this bronze door!

With that in mind, he walked on towards the door at the end of the corridor.

And upon reaching that door, what t Fang Ze's eyes was the style of iron gate he was extrely familiar with:

The door was two ters high, pitch black, and hefty. It had strange patterns carved on it. The patterns, like a winding path, sprawled ssily over the whole gate, converging in the center to form the ancient character for "Two."

Thinking of this, Fang Ze could not help but turn his head to glance back at the door of the Late-Night Investigation Room.

Indeed, not to his surprise, the exterior of the Late-Night Investigation Room's door, like the interior, also had the character for "One."

"It seems that the Late-Night Investigation Room is the first room. And the room before is the second room?"

"Then, behind the bronze door in the middle of the just-passed corridor, it probably doesn't lead to a room but to other places."

"That place might have a third, a fourth iron gate room!"

As he mused over this, Fang Ze stepped into this new room.

The mont he stepped into the new room, Fang Ze felt his hand suddenly grow heavy.

By the ti he ca to, he realized a long chain of keys had appeared in his hand.

And as the keys ca into his possession, several candle lamps hung on the walls of the room ignited spontaneously without wind.

The candles burned with a pale blue fla, casting an exceptionally gloomy and terrifying light over the whole room.

The chill in the corridor indeed radiated from this room.

By the light of the candles, Fang Ze took in his surroundings.

This room was much larger than the Late-Night Investigation Room, easily a few hundred square ters.

And on the spacious room's walls were arrayed several ordinary-looking doors.

On the doors, in order, were the characters for the 12 Chinese zodiac hours: "Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig," a total of 12 rooms.

Simultaneously, information about the room began to slowly filter into Fang Ze's mind.

Fang Ze's eyes seed a bit unfocused as he accepted the incoming information, while he muttered softly...

"Demigod Prison...?"

"There are a total of 12 rooms."

"All Extraordinary Lives that have been investigated by the Late-Night Investigation Room and have provided valuable intelligence, as well as those in the Real World who have lost consciousness or the ability to move, can be detained in the Demigod Prison?"

"Once detained in the Demigod Prison, an Extraordinary Life's abilities and Martial Arts Cultivation will be restricted, even their souls will be confined. And I can take on their forms?"
