He was an elderly man who appeared sowhat gaunt.
He was in his sixties or seventies.
It was unclear whether it was due to his age or his diet, but his body was thin and his cheeks were sunken.
Furthermore, with his hands clasped behind his back and a stern expression devoid of any emotion on his face, he radiated a sense of severity that lacked all warmth and cordiality.
He approached Lady Jin and Fang Ze.
His icy gaze swept over Lady Jin, then Fang Ze, before he extended a hand that had been held behind his back. He pointed to the sky, stirred gently, and suddenly, all of the Power of Laws in the vicinity of the battlefield coalesced around him.
Then, he reached out with his other hand and made a gentle slicing motion, causing a spatial rift to appear instantly.
On the other side of the rift was the desolate Spirit Realm.
The old man tossed the Power of Laws he held into it, brought his hands together and, in an instant, the spatial rift closed.
As he completed these actions, many airships began to converge. Squads of the Federal Defense Team gathered around, cordoning off the area within three inner and three outer layers.
The old man's gaze fell upon Lady Jin and Fang Ze.
By this ti, Fang Ze had opened his eyes from his ditation and couldn't help looking towards him.
The old man's sharp gaze swept over the two before he said indifferently, "Take them away."
Upon his command, the Federal Defense Team sward in, placing Anti-Magic Handcuffs on both of them.
Fang Ze had intended to question or even resist, but just then, Lady Jin shook her head at him with a serious expression.
Fang Ze stopped all the words and actions he had intended to take and allowed the Federal Defense Team to disarm him.
When they were led to the airships, they were separated.
From a distance, Fang Ze glanced at Lady Jin, who, despite being guarded by a squad of weapon-wielding Federal Defense Team mbers, still exuded an undiminished presence.
When she saw Fang Ze looking over, her face showed no emotions, but she mouthed a single word very slightly: "Wait."
.....
anwhile.
In Xida State, countless phones rang.
This onslaught of calls was obviously more intense than when Jiang Cheng was arrested last ti.
Hence, it didn't take long for almost all the Council mbers to be aware of a major crisis that had occurred in Erald City!
Just five minutes ago, several Yang Transformation masters had clashed in Erald City. Moreover, one had even died there!
At this mont, Xida State's military base had descended upon Erald City, taking complete control. The base's Inspector had cut off all of Erald City's external communication channels.
Now, Erald City had beco an isolated island, with no news getting in or out!
No one knew why Yang Transformation masters had appeared in Erald City, nor why there had been casualties!
All they knew was that a major crisis had erupted!
Therefore, the Xida State Council imdiately convened an ergency session, requiring all Council mbers to attend urgently.
During the ergency eting, all 75 Council mbers unanimously passed a resolution to call the Xida State military base to inquire about the situation and requested that the base protect the nobility of Erald City and the senior officials of various governnt departnts as much as possible.
The reason such a straightforward matter required a eting to decide was because the military base reports directly to the Federation, and Xida State had no jurisdiction over it.
Theoretically, without the Council's legal process, the military base could outright refuse any inquiries from the Xida State side and could decline to provide any information.
Beyond the official processes, after the temporary Council eting adjourned, countless calls were made to the Bai Family and the Jiang Family.
As the rulers of Xida State. These Council mbers knew that only the Jiang and Bai Families could deploy Yang Transformation masters so discreetly within Xida State.
Especially in a situation where the use of one Yang Transformation master would bring federal oversight, only these two families could afford to activate such experts.
So, while there was no evidence, the Council mbers still speculated that this matter was almost 90% related to the Jiang and Bai Families.
Moreover, as the two most powerful forces in Xida State, many Council mbers were affiliated with them. Hence, they wished to inquire about the truth to plan their next moves accordingly….
However, to everyone's surprise.
The calls made by these Council mbers seed to vanish into thin air.
The Jiang and Bai Families, like the military base, had cut off all outside contact and seemingly disappeared without a trace!
This left the Council mbers utterly baffled.
What kind of major incident had occurred?
Why were the Jiang and Bai Families afraid to make a sound?
Was it related to them?
What these Council mbers didn't know was.
While they speculated about various possibilities, at this very mont, the heads of the Jiang and Bai Families, the fathers of Jiang Cheng and Bai Zhi, were in a secret base of the Jiang Family, looking grimly at Jiang Cheng, who knelt on the ground with his head down.
Jiang Cheng's body was shaking slightly, evidently having recounted the events more than once.
So, after going through the details once more, he cautiously said, "Dad. Uncle… this is the whole story."
"I really never intended to lay a hand on Bai Zhi. I've always been targeting Fang Ze."

At this point, he genuinely dared not hide anything and confessed quite frankly,
"Fang Ze has been harassing , capturing many of my people, and even stepping on to climb higher. Of course, I was upset."
"Plus, he threatened to kill in front of so many people."
