anwhile.

As Fang Ze began summoning the True Body of the Demigod, Dahei Jialuo, who was once again imprisoned in the Demigd Prison, felt a bit restless.

He paced back and forth in the prison, feeling deeply tornted inside.

On one hand, he felt that once Fang Ze fused even his True Body, then he would hold no value and would have no escape; on the other hand, he sensed from his recent interaction with Fang Ze and the Flower God that Fang Ze was unsure about the fusion of the Demigod’s True Body, rely expressing a "let’s try it" attitude.

This uncertain future left him extrely anxious, like an ant on a hot pan.

He walked countless circles in the prison, and suddenly stopped in his tracks. He looked up, slapped his face, and murmured softly,

"Am I being foolish?"

"This prison can sever all connections with the outside world, so even if Fang Ze does fuse with the True Body, I might not even be able to sense it?"

"Therefore, I should put my mind at ease and not worry about this matter."

Though he said this, after trying to comfort himself, Dahei Jialuo did not actually feel at ease. Instead, realizing he couldn’t know the result imdiately, he beca even more anxious.

Unsure of how much ti passed—perhaps a minute, perhaps half an hour—when Dahei Jialuo had already lost count of how many circles he walked and sighed.

Suddenly, he sharply looked towards the door of the prison.

As he ntioned earlier, this prison blocked all senses and connections, preventing him from sensing the True Body.

However... that didn’t an his state was isolated.

At that very mont, Dahei Jialuo clearly felt that a part of his lifespan was severely eroded!

At that mont, so of his mories seed to blur gradually!

He held his head, desperately trying to grasp the fading mories, but found all efforts were in vain.

This sudden change also made Dahei Jialuo’s emotions more irritable.

However, as an assassin at this mont, he was unable to distinguish whether this irritability was a side effect of his reduced lifespan or his own emotions.

But regardless of which it was, he knew sothing had happened....

Staring past the prison and sensing his continuously eroding lifespan, Dahei Jialuo muttered, "Did he actually... truly fuse with my True Body?!"

"How did he manage to do it? Can a Demigod’s True Body really be fused by soone else?!"

Even though he was ntally prepared, Dahei Jialuo still found it hard to believe when everything lay before him.

His single eye widened, repeatedly questioning,

"Moreover, why is it that his fusion with the True Body consus my lifespan?!"

"What does that have to do with ? Can’t it be explained reasonably?"

Muttering incessantly, Dahei Jialuo’s emotions spun further out of control, and he began smashing everything in the prison, seeking to vent his suppressed feelings.

No one knows how much ti had passed. When Dahei Jialuo finally slowly cald down, only a ghostly sigh echoed in the prison, "Did he... truly replace and beco a genuine Demigod?"

anwhile, inside the Late-Night Investigation Room, everything was already aglow with golden light.
