"It has to do with Silas Coldwell. I was driving past an intersection today and saw a few cars boxing in his vehicle. I gave him a hand, ramming one of their cars so he could break through the encirclent. I just got a little hurt in the process."

Just as she’d expected, Jasper Lockwood’s expression darkened after she finished. He asked in a deep voice, "Why? Why would you help him like that? Did you really only know him for a short ti in Country E?"
