Leng Yu Yan’s small face flushed a bit more: "I know, second brother, don’t worry."

Leng Yuqing seized the opportunity to convey the wishes of their grandmother and mother: "Grandmother and mother miss you dearly, how about having dinner at the Prince Mansion tonight?"

This was considered an invitation.

"The Crown Prince should join us too; grandfather has always been eager to drink with Your Highness."

Leng Yu Yan glanced at Ye Yiheng, tugged on Leng Yuqing’s sleeve, and whispered, "I’ll go in a few days."

"Why wait a few days?" Leng Yuqing was puzzled.

Leng Yu Yan had no choice but to whisper even more quietly, "I’m not in a convenient ti."

Only then did Leng Yuqing understand, and his handso face turned red: "Then a few days it is."

Jian Lecheng did not quite understand, and in front of the two Your Highnesses, he dared not ask.

When Leng Yuqing ntioned returning, Jian Lecheng volunteered to escort him.

When they reached the gate of the Eastern Palace, Jian Lecheng asked, "Why is the Crown Princess Consort inconvenienced? You understood instantly, is it so secret code only you siblings get?"

Leng Yuqing glanced at Jian Lecheng: "I say, Young Master, you are still single, right?"

"What does this have to do with being single?" Jian Lecheng was even more puzzled.

Leng Yuqing chuckled lightly. With Luo ng’er by his side, he naturally understood a thing or two about won’s matters.

It was clear that Jian Lecheng was single, which is why he did not catch on.

Retrieving his whip from the gatekeeper, Leng Yuqing mounted his horse and swiftly rode away.

"Hey, Second Young Master, you haven’t told the reason!" Jian Lecheng was baffled, and feeling slighted, he called out loudly, "I’m not single anymore! Chun Liu, Chun Liu is my woman!"

The incident didn’t actually require explanation, but the way Leng Yuqing behaved left him unsatisfied.

He wasn’t even officially the Minister of War yet, and already so arrogant.

Not even providing a chance for camaraderie, not allowing an extra word to be said.

What upset him even more was that Leng Yuqing seed to have soone in mind, implicitly mocking him for still being single.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt uneasy.

As Jian Lecheng turned around, he ran into Chun Liu and started recounting the earlier incident to her.

Chun Liu chuckled: "You misunderstood the Second Young Master."

"Oh, how did I misunderstand him?"

"The Second Young Master is gentle by nature, the most amiable among the four Young Masters of the Leng Family. How could he possibly mock you without reason?" Chun Liu explained with a smile, "He didn’t clarify to avoid embarrassnt for both parties."

"Embarrassnt for both parties?"

Jian Lecheng found that his usually bright mind was not up to par today.

Chun Liu lowered her voice, covered her lips, and whispered in his ear: "Won have certain days each month when they’re inconvenient."

"You too?" Jian Lecheng, unavoidably curious, asked.

Chun Liu couldn’t help but laugh again: "Naturally."

The two were walking and talking when unexpectedly they spotted Ye Yiheng, prompting them to quickly pay their respects.

Ye Yiheng gave them a sweeping glance, his voice chilly: "Jian Lecheng, no wonder you’ve been single so long; you’d better use your free ti to read so dical books."

Jian Lecheng hastened to agree.

To read dical books, he could have borrowed from Ling Lang.

Unfortunately, Ling Lang was sent away, and he could not borrow from the Crown Princess, so he had to return to his own ho.

Rummaging through his study, he found a few dical books and only then learned about won having nstruation.

He repeatedly smacked his own forehead, blaming neither Leng Yuqing nor the Crown Prince but himself.

How foolish he was!

To even ask Chun Liu if she had it too.

Luckily, Chun Liu was forgiving. Had it been anyone else, they would never have forgiven him, and then where would he go to cry?

Thinking back, when Crown Prince carried away the Crown Princess during lunch, it was to protect her.

He had learned his lesson!

In the future, if Chun Liu suffered from nstrual pain, he too would carry her.

Thinking of this, he lifted and pinched his own arm, realizing he had little muscle and not much strength.

Imdiately, he went to the courtyard, shouting for soone to find a stone block for strength training.

At this ti, Ling Lang was in the dungeon checking Lai Xuan’s injuries.

There were several sword wounds large and small, thankfully focused on the abdon, with no harm to the heart or other vital organs.

But due to the nurous wounds, his life was still at risk, so he imdiately gave him a Life-saving Pill.

Realizing soone was rescuing him, Lai Xuan could not open his eyes with his strength, yet his mouth emitted a faint sound, as if continuously speaking.

Ling Lang couldn’t hear him.

So he put his ear close: "What are you saying?"

Lai Xuan mustered great effort, his voice barely becoming clearer: "Tell the Crown Princess that Ji Qingyu plans to rebel."

The elder sister, Crown Princess, had been abducted by Ji Qingyu before; if Ji Qingyu’s treason succeeded, the consequences would be unimaginable.

He owed much gratitude to the Crown Princess, and took it as fulfilling a debt of gratitude to her.

"The Crown Princess is already aware, it was she who ordered to rescue you this ti." Ling Lang gave him a sip of water, "The dicine you just took was bestowed by the Crown Princess."

Lai Xuan shed tears.

Despite the way his parents and sister treated the Crown Princess, she did not take their lives.

Yet Ji Qingyu aid to kill their entire family.

Even at this mont, the Crown Princess sent soone to save him.

Their family owed the Crown Princess so much indeed.

Ling Lang sighed upon seeing this: "Don’t cry. If you have the strength to cry, better to use that strength to repay your life."

Lai Xuan raised his hand, looking at his hands covered in blood, and shook his head: "Help convey sothing, in my next life, I want to be a brother to the Crown Princess, not Jiajia’s brother, nor the son of Lai Zonghui and Ms. He."

Ling Lang took out needle and thread, beginning to stitch Lai Xuan’s wounds: "Shut up, your family doesn’t have a single decent person."

Suturing wounds often required anesthesia, but Ling Lang intentionally did not use it.

Lai Xuan did not cry out in pain either.

He understood that the skill of suturing was one the Crown Princess knew, and the person before him being able to do it suggested it was related to the Crown Princess’s instructions.

He acknowledged the remark about his family not having a single decent person and did not argue.

Moreover, the piercing of needle and thread into the skin had already caused numbness from pain, so he could no longer speak.

Once Ling Lang finished tending to Lai Xuan’s wounds, Lai Xuan had already slipped into unconsciousness.

Leaving the dungeon, Ling Lang returned to the Eastern Palace to report.

Arriving before Leng Yu Yan, Ling Lang recounted the situation and shared his judgnt: "Lai Xuan’s injuries are severe, during the assault he used all his inner strength to fend off the blows, which allowed him the hours needed to return to the capital. I fed him a Life-saving Pill, and his life is thus preserved. But due to his exhausted inner strength and serious injuries, he will lose all his power and cannot use martial arts again in the future."

"If he can’t, then so be it," Leng Yu Yan replied calmly.

Ling Lang asked: "He is now in the dungeon. Master, how should we handle Lai Xuan? Forgive my straightforwardness, but Lai Zonghui’s entire family lacks goodwill; we must be cautious of Lai Xuan."

"I know," Leng Yu Yan sighed, "Lai Xuan is the only one in their family who hasn’t wronged or my mother. Appoint several people to care for him until he is out of imdiate danger."

"Understood," Ling Lang acknowledged.

Just then, Mo Chen returned with a team of Hidden Guards.

The group headed towards the study in the small building.

Leng Yu Yan saw them and casually asked Ling Lang: "Where did Mo Chen and his team go?"

"I heard," Ling Lang replied, "seems they went to investigate matters related to Ji Qingyu."
