On Our Wedding Night, I Discovered the Crown Prince's Hidden Illness Chapter 700: 700: Ming Behaves Like a Hooligan
Chapter 700: Chapter 700: Ming Behaves Like a Hooligan
Before Song Guo and Miao Zhu, she had the audacity to show such shalessness. Leng Yu Yan intended to ease the embarrassnt, so she couldn’t help but burst into laughter, displaying a playful charm.
“Princess Wen Yi has left, and yet, Your Highness is still putting on an act?”
Ye Yiheng didn’t care whether she believed him or not and laughed softly, “Since you’re here, help with so official duties.” After speaking, he took her hand and said to Song Guo, “Move a chair to the side of my desk.”
Song Guo deftly tucked the horsetail whisk behind his waist and placed a folding chair beside his own Crown Prince’s chair.
Ye Yiheng pulled Leng Yu Yan to sit down and then picked up so docunts that had not been dealt with yet.
Leng Yu Yan obediently sat and gazed at his desk.
His desk was very large, with items scattered across the surface: penhold, brush holder, brush washer, inkstone, ink stick, two paperweights, and a pile of official docunts on one side. At the very center was a glass bottle filled with dried peaches.
With a knowing smile, she reached for the glass bottle, took a piece of dried peach, and ate it. Thinking of the person beside her, she also pinched a piece for him.
Ye Yiheng opened his mouth to accept the dried peach while his gaze remained fixed on the docunt in his hands, his expression quite stern.
His serious and taciturn deanor compelled Leng Yu Yan to avoid making any noise. She gently refitted the lid on the glass bottle and carefully placed it back where it belonged.
Song Guo knew that when his Highness was busy, he was not to be disturbed, so he automatically stood outside the study waiting.
Miao Zhu, wishing to prompt Song Guo to start a conversation with her, followed him out.
Seeing these two leave quietly, Leng Yu Yan heaved a silent sigh. How could she have agreed to keep him company?
His presence was so imposing that everyone else kept their distance.
At the entrance of the study, Miao Zhu glanced at Song Guo and saw him standing with eyes downcast. For so reason, she felt irritated.
But since the eunuch wasn’t speaking, she didn’t intend to start a conversation either.
Inside the study, Leng Yu Yan propped her chin and once again observed him.
His facial proportions were nothing short of perfect, with a high nose bridge and smooth jawline, all strikingly handso. Yet, his brows and eyes hinted at a natural coldness.
Such was the man—when not smiling, he seed to be the very definition of cold-heartedness.
Leng Yu Yan was feeling very bored and retracted her gaze, her fingertips starting to trace the intricate carvings on the edge of the table, circling over the patterns.
Suddenly, Ye Yiheng spoke, “If you’re bored, you might find so books on the shelf to read.”
“Alright.”
Leng Yu Yan stood up and walked towards the bookshelves.
There were nurous shelves on one side of the study, but after searching, only a few travelogues seed worth a glance; the rest failed to interest her at all.
Returning to his side after nearly half an hour, she had finished reading one of the travelogues.
Prior to the previous year, she spent much ti traveling; thus, she had visited almost all the scenic spots in Tiancheng.
Consequently, she lost interest in the other travelogues.
She put the book back on the shelf and resud her seat beside him.
Ye Yiheng saw her co back empty-handed, listlessly playing with her fingers, and then asked, “Do you find it boring to accompany ?”
Leng Yu Yan pursed her lips and looked at him, speaking softly, “Not especially boring.”
“That ans you are bored,” Ye Yiheng said, his eyes briefly scanning the neckline of her chest-level skirt, where it was noticeably bulging. He imperiously averted his gaze, smiled lightly, and said, “Dare you play a ga with ?”
Leng Yu Yan gripped his arm in surprise, “What kind of ga?”
“I shall write a few words on your skin. Before you sleep or bathe, if the writing is still legible, you win,” he paused, then continued in a asured tone, “If the writing becos indiscernible, then tonight you would consummate our marriage.”
“Such a ga…” Leng Yu Yan pouted, “Are you trying to make fun of , Your Highness?”
Ye Yiheng raised an eyebrow, “You don’t dare?” As he spoke, he shifted his gaze to the docunts and said indifferently, “Then continue to keep company. You’ll have to accompany in the afternoon, and through the night as well.”
How could soone be so unreasonable?
Leng Yu Yan furrowed her brows, “It’s just playing a ga, what’s there to be afraid of?”
Ye Yiheng curled his lips slightly upon hearing her words, and then instructed soone at the door, “Co, close the windows and the doors.”
“Ah?” Leng Yu Yan did not understand, “Why close them?”
Ignoring her question, Ye Yiheng simply watched as Song Guo and Miao Zhu ca in to close all the windows of the study, then saw them shut the door tightly upon leaving. Only then did he look at Leng Yu Yan, “Take off your clothes.”
“You?” Leng Yu Yan choked.
“I forgot to say, deserting before battle rits punishnt.” The man’s attractive brows and eyes shifted slightly, “Punishing Yanyan to three days of bed rest, what do you think?”
Leng Yu Yan bit her lip, taking his words seriously. After hesitating for a good while, she finally untied the knot at her chest and undid the pearl buttons at her collar, causing the neckline to slip down to her waist in an instant.
Layers of fabric piled up like a tender blossom blooming.
Thinking he would write on her back, Leng Yu Yan turned her back towards him, stiffening her body as she said, “Your Highness, go ahead and write.”
Ye Yiheng glanced at her smooth back and then at her slender waist. His expression remained haughtily indifferent, and his voice was just as indifferent, “Take off your undershirt as well.”
Leng Yu Yan held her chest and turned to look at him, “Where exactly do you intend to write?”
Ye Yiheng picked up a brush and dipped it deliberately into the ink, not glancing anywhere else, “Right below the embroidery on the undershirt.”
Leng Yu Yan looked down and saw two peonies embroidered on her undershirt. Was he playing with her, or was he deliberately making things difficult for her?
She felt like crying. Why was he like this?
Obviously, he was being a hooligan!
Utterly despicable!
Yet if she did not agree, he would punish her.
What did three days of bed rest an? She had felt it many tis in her dreams; she knew all too well.
Rembering how she had saved him in the water earlier, and thinking back to the warehouse scene, compared to consummating the marriage, being frank with each other didn’t seem too terrible…
After weighing the pros and cons, she took off her undershirt, and her eyes instantly welled up with tears.
Ye Yiheng began to write, his gaze unfocused the whole ti, his deanor cool and detached, as if what he saw was rely a piece of xuan paper.
As the brush tip touched her skin, the fear, sha, and embarrassnt in her heart made Leng Yu Yan involuntarily tremble.
Yet the man said indifferently, “You’re trembling so badly that the writing won’t look good. It’ll need to be erased and rewritten. Does Yanyan want to write it several tis?”
Leng Yu Yan bit her lip hard, closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling. Her hands tightly grasped the arms of the chair as she forced herself to calm down.
However, due to excessive nervousness, no matter how hard she tried, her body still couldn’t help trembling slightly.
Seeing her close her eyes, Ye Yiheng finally did not hide the restrained desire in his gaze. Every tremble of hers seed to provoke him.
He suddenly felt his throat dry and his spine tense, his breath hot and his palms unbearably itchy. Despite this, he had said before that he would only write.
Heaven knows how much he wanted to replace the brush in his hand, but his actions remained icy and aloof, as if he truly was creating a piece of calligraphy.
Leng Yu Yan kept her eyes tightly shut, ti passing excruciatingly slow.
Just then, soone outside said, “Your Highness, I have an urgent matter to report!”
Upon hearing this, Leng Yu Yan shivered in fright, opening her eyes in a panic and clutching her body, she whispered to soone, “Your Highness, I… will be seen…”
Her whole heart was lifted, her heartbeat suddenly intense, her ears tuned to the sounds outside, instinctively holding her breath.
