The Xiaoxiang dical Clinic was exceptionally peaceful at night.

Chen Yin stepped out of the room. He hadn’t gone far when he noticed a figure sitting in the courtyard.

Under the cold moonlight, Nan Xiaoxiang sat beneath a tree, her pristine white dress pooling around her, her slender arm swaying gently.

Her eyes were downcast, her expression serene and tranquil.

“Are you… digging a grave?”

A jarring and irritating voice suddenly rang out behind her.

Nan Xiaoxiang took a deep breath, closed her eyes for a mont, then turned around and said calmly, “It’s not your fault you have low emotional intelligence, Young Master Chen.”

“But it is your fault that you talk so much despite it.”

Chen Yin scratched his head, feigning innocence.

“Why aren’t you asleep?”

“Couldn’t sleep. I ca out for a walk.”

“Taking a walk at this hour? It seems the place Young Master Chen is going to is indeed a place that would keep one awake.”

Nan Xiaoxiang’s tone remained unchanged, but her words were laced with playful sarcasm.

Chen Yin coughed awkwardly and chuckled, offering no retort.

…Judging by her attitude, she was still angry about what had happened earlier.

“Well, I won’t disturb you any further. I’ll be on my way.”

He was about to turn and leave when Nan Xiaoxiang’s lodious voice called out:

“Young Master Chen, there are many wild beasts outside. Aren’t you afraid of being devoured, leaving nothing but bones?”

Chen Yin didn’t turn around. He simply said calmly:

“Wolves can’t eat dragons.”

With that, a flash of sword light illuminated the night, and his figure vanished from the courtyard.

Nan Xiaoxiang stared at the spot where he had disappeared, lost in thought.

Chen Yin didn’t fly at full speed. He only accelerated after leaving the town.

Finally, he landed on a deserted hilltop and casually held his Eternal Light sword in his arms.

He was surrounded by several cultivators.

Chen Yin’s expression remained unchanged. He looked at them with a playful smile.

“Fellow Daoists, what brings you here to stop in the middle of the night?”

The cultivators remained silent. After a long pause, a clear and loud clap ca from behind him.

“Hahaha, excellent.”

Chen Yin turned and saw Ju Shaohé approaching, surrounded by his entourage of cultivators, a wide smile on his face.

“Chen Yin… right?”

His smile was unsettling. “I have to admire your audacity.”

“A re Cloud Ascending Realm disciple from the Mist Spirit Sect, not only did you disrespect , Ju Shaohé, but you also dared to steal my woman right in front of .”

“Are you unaware that your Mist Spirit Sect is on the verge of collapse? Or are you truly that foolish?”

Chen Yin smiled innocently. “I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Young Master Ju.”

“Heh, you don’t need to understand.”

Ju Shaohé said coldly, “Attack. Seal his ridians, cripple his foundation, and sever his tendons.”

“Make him crawl like a dog.”

“Yes, Young Master!” His subordinates responded in unison, then charged towards Chen Yin nacingly.

Chen Yin’s eyelids drooped slightly, as if he were still half asleep.

…He was thinking about how to capture Ju Shaohé alive.

The Young Master of the Canghe Sword Sect was only valuable alive. If he died, he would be worthless.

But with so many guards surrounding him, Chen Yin was worried that he might accidentally kill Ju Shaohé with a single sword strike.

He was considering how to lure him away from his guards when…

A strange scent suddenly made him frown.

As the aggressive cultivators approached, their steps beca weaker and weaker, and they eventually collapsed before him.

Even the guards around Ju Shaohé fell to the ground, unconscious.

Only Ju Shaohé remained standing, his face pale with shock and fear. “What… what sorcery is this?!”

But as soon as he finished speaking, his eyelids grew heavy, and he also collapsed to the ground.

Chen Yin looked at the unconscious Canghe Sword Sect disciples, his eyes cold and calculating. After a mont, he looked up.

Standing before him was soone he had never expected to see.

…Nan Xiaoxiang, dressed in a pristine white dress, approached gracefully.

“What a coincidence. To et Young Master Chen in such a place.” Her voice was calm and gentle, as always.

“Ah, what a coincidence indeed.”

Chen Yin suddenly chuckled. “I thought you were busy at the clinic, Miss Nan. What brings you to this desolate place?”

“Oh! I know, you must have been so captivated by my handso face and charming personality that you couldn’t help but follow .”

“If you spoke less, Young Master Chen, you might be less repulsive.”

Her gaze was cold and indifferent, her eyes clear and unwavering.

Chen Yin’s smile faded, and his eyes flickered.

“…Did you plan this from the beginning, or did you just happen to stumble upon this opportunity and decide to use as bait?”

“I didn’t kill anyone.”

Nan Xiaoxiang’s face was beautiful and alluring under the moonlight. “I told you. I only heal, I don’t kill.”

“They’re just unconscious from the poison of my Gu worms.”

“I didn’t know you were skilled in Gu techniques, Miss Nan.”

“dicine and Gu are inseparable. I naturally know a thing or two.”

…Not a single word she said was true.

Knowing “a thing or two” about Gu techniques wouldn’t allow her to silently knock out so many cultivators. She was lying through her teeth.

“I’ve heard that the Wu Xuan Cave in the Southern Barbarian Region is renowned for its Gu techniques, but they’ve always been reclusive and isolated from the world.”

Chen Yin narrowed his eyes. “What’s your connection to the Wu Xuan Cave, Miss Nan?”

Nan Xiaoxiang simply shook her head. “No connection.”

“I am who I am, Nan Xiaoxiang of the Xiaoxiang dical Clinic. I’m not a cultivator, and I don’t know anything about the Wu Xuan Cave.”

“Just an ordinary mortal physician.”

Chen Yin lowered his gaze, looking at the unconscious bodies on the ground. He shook his head.

“…I’ve never been so wrong about soone before.”

“You’re not as innocent as you seem, Miss Nan.” He sighed.

Nan Xiaoxiang didn’t take offense. She simply tilted her head and smiled.

“As a re mortal woman, navigating the world of cultivators requires so cunning and resourcefulness.”

Chen Yin asked curiously, “Then why didn’t your Gu worms affect ?”

“It’s simple.”

Nan Xiaoxiang opened her hand, revealing a tiny, pale yellow Gu worm, almost invisible to the naked eye.

“This Gu is called the Jade Nymph Gu. It’s colorless, odorless, and difficult to detect.”

“Its only weakness is its sensitivity to sll. It’s attracted to fragrance and repelled by foul odors.”

Chen Yin froze, then, seeing her playful smile, he understood. He couldn’t help but chuckle and facepalm.

“So…”

“…It’s a good thing I had stinky tofu with you earlier, right?”
