anwhile, Chen Yin was enjoying the show.
Hidden in his usual peeping spot behind the screen, he watched with amusent as the two beauties splashed and played in the bath.
He was quite familiar with this spot, having often encountered his Master, the perverted loli granny, here while trying to peek at Xiang’er.
It had beco their shared secret.
It had practically beco their designated peeping spot. The steam might obscure most of the view, but the occasional glimpses were enough.
“Heehee… pretty girls are so nice…”
“Heehee… pretty girls are so nice…”
Chen Yin suddenly froze.
Chen Yin: “?”
Master: “?”
“When did you get here?”
“Master has a spiritual premonition whenever pretty girls undress,” she said proudly.
Chen Yin slapped her on the head. “Damn it! Why do I always run into you?!”
“I raised you to be handso so you could bring pretty girls! And you’re hogging them all to yourself!”
Chen Yin was speechless.
Master ignored him and pressed her face against the screen, drooling. The space was cramped, and her body brushed against his.
Chen Yin sighed. …If you keep doing that… He grabbed her by the collar and carried her out of the room.
Outside, Master continued to complain about his “selfishness.” Then she cald down. “Co with . I have sothing to discuss with you.”
She led him to his cultivation cave.
“Been working hard? Any progress?”
Chen Yin didn’t answer.
“I knew it. You’re too stupid to cultivate. Just give up.”
Chen Yin remained silent, his head lowered.
Master’s voice softened. “Can’t you just give up? You can’t always rely on luck. If you fail, I can’t save you.”
Chen Yin shook his head. “…I know what I’m doing.”
Master was exasperated. She pinched his ear. “Why are you so stubborn?! Just stay on Mount Yu and enjoy life with your won!”
Chen Yin just looked at her.
Master sighed and sat down, defeated. “Fine. You’re as stubborn as a mule. Cultivate then.”
Chen Yin understood. She was staying to watch over him.
He nodded seriously and resud his ditation.
The cave was silent.
Master peeked at him, a soft smile on her lips. “…You stubborn brat.”
While he ditated, she stood up and ford a series of hand seals. The scenery distorted, and a dark vortex appeared. Her face paled, but her eyes were bright and focused as the vortex grew larger.
Chen Yin was back on Epheral Mountain, watching the crazed cultivators, fighting the urge to join them. He focused on the Dao of Life and Death, but it was a dangerous ga.
He forced himself to wake up before he lost himself completely.
The cultivators were tearing at each other’s flesh, the stench of blood filling the air. A voice within him urged him to join them.
“Ugh.” He spat out a mouthful of blood, his head spinning. He sheathed his sword, realizing the dizziness was less severe than before.
He looked up and saw Master’s face. He was lying on her lap.
“Awake?” she asked softly.
Chen Yin frowned. “I must look pathetic.”
“I’m your Master. I’ve seen you in worse states.”
He closed his eyes, resting his head on her lap. Her scent cald his mind. He felt her hands gently massaging his temples.
“Feels good?”
“I should have asked you to cultivate with earlier. Then I could have enjoyed your lap pillow sooner.”
“Don’t even think about it.” Master flicked his forehead playfully. “Rest. I have sothing to show you.”
Chen Yin sat up and saw a dark vortex in the center of the cave.
“What’s this?”
“A special cultivation realm I created for you. It will enhance your comprehension of the Dao. Impressive, right?”
Chen Yin stared at the vortex. “You stingy old hag! Why didn’t you show this sooner?!”
“You ungrateful brat!”
They bickered, then Chen Yin stood up, eager to enter.
“Chen Yin.”
“Hmm?”
Master opened her mouth, then closed it, a soft smile on her lips.
“Nothing. Co back soon.”
Chen Yin looked at her intently, then pulled her into his arms and lifted her off the ground.
“Wh-what are you doing?!” she protested, her face flushed.
He buried his face in her neck, inhaling her scent. “…I’ll succeed before the Triennial Day. Wait for ,” he whispered.
Master stopped struggling and patted his back gently. “Alright. Go now.”
Chen Yin entered the vortex.
Master watched him go, her smile fading, replaced by a bitter-sweet expression.
“Chen Yin,”
“I’m sorry.”
…I lied.
That’s not a cultivation realm.
But it’s my biggest gamble. At least you’ll survive.
As the sun set, Master stood there, her robes billowing in the wind, her gaze firm and resolute.
