’Let’s hope I have enough to do this.’
The Green Mountain Range’s suppression was naturally a very useful tool, but as seen by the demons’ roundabout thod to render it useless, it wasn’t enough to help the outnumbered Dragon Clan win the war. It was like I was out of roundabout options myself.
"Hold on, focus on defending!"
"Give Sir Azure the ti he needs!"
Ti felt much slower for as my eyes caught the figures of the half-dragons valiantly defending their hos. The blind trust that they had in created by my fake identity made them seem more like NPCs, but they looked no different than normal people grasping at their last ropes.
They wished to protect their ho rather than helplessly sacrifice it, the hope that I had pragmatically given them had actually given them the will to persist. Before I knew it, part of wanted them to live as much as I wanted to stop the demons’ invasion for my personal safety...
’I guess it’s not wrong to think like that from ti to ti.’
Smiling bitterly as I cleansed my mind from all thoughts, I started gradually releasing my Earth Elents, shaping them into thin threads as I sent them all to the determined locations that I decided on a while earlier.
The world turned silent as I poured all my focus into the delicate task, when the Earthly threads finally reached their destination, I interchanged the source elents to Water Elents, pushing forward to the second step.
[ Initiating ’Elental Interfusion’... ]
As the thod ingrained in my mind started rolling out, I could sense the Water Elents climbing the Earthly threads like fine tubes, using them as a vehicle to reach their destination. Both types of elents acted as each other’s helper as well as their contender just as written in the record.
Once the Water Elents stood next to the Earth Elents at the locations I prepared, they strangely started lting together even though I couldn’t use ’Elental Interfusion’ with elents that had strayed that far from . Without any further delay, they seeped into the tiny objects buried under the ground, obediently offering themselves as nutrients...
’Grow...’
Only one thought popped up in my mind as I witnessed this scene with the help of a strand of ntality. Using that strand to pour in a large amount of the sa ntal Energy, I imposed my thoughts upon my new seedlings.
’Grow...’
The thought reverberated through our thin connection as I felt my will transfer over by its side. This was the very first ti that I tried out this ability of mind ever since I ca to learn how to use it, but it all felt like sothing that I already possessed great familiarity with.
’Grow and...’
Rustle...
The ground shook under both soldiers’ feet. However, no one paid it any heed under the heavy march of the invaders. Only I could tell that my little creations were about to gloriously erge into the world!
The mountain range that had the constant tone of dark greenery was no longer the sa from this mont on! Vibrant vegetation had started to rise from deep under, cleverly avoiding the fighters’ stomps!
’Fight my enemies for !’
The little saplings that looked like nothing much started growing with aggression all of the sudden, finally catching the notice of the demons who focused on using the Corrupted to push back, but...
’Now!’
It was already too late!
The vibrant vegetation had already grown into vines boasting a length comparable to the largest demon’s height, reacting now held no aning as each vine viciously grasped the neck of the demon or the Corrupted closest to it, trying to strangle the life out of their throats!
"Look ou- gahh..."
"Sothing is coming from the growaaaa!"
Those who noticed it faster tried to warn their fellow demons, totally uncaring for the Corrupted horde that was being easily handled by the terrifying vines. This was the power of the forgotten elent that was left unused to this mont! The Elent of Vegetation!
"What is this-"
"Look, it’s leaving our side alone. It must be Sir Azure’s doing!"
"Sir Azure is truly the Green Dragon’s Champion!"
"Don’t waste the chance that Sir Azure had granted us! Attack!"
"Attack!"
Even the half-dragons were greatly surprised by the vine’s spread throughout the outer region of the mountain range that they started to blurt out so fantastical words based on my fake background. However, I had no ti to pay attention to any of that.
’Ugh, they really take a large bite.’
Naturally, such a great ability didn’t co without cost. The reason I didn’t choose to use such a convenient ’Elent’ like this up to this mont was none other than its exorbitant consumption of elents!
Since ’Cultivation Practice’ consud both of its initiation elents to nurture the artificial Vegetation elent, creating a Vegetation Field of this radius had almost consud my whole pool of elents just to make it reach this point... Most importantly, controlling the vines rapidly depleted my ntal Energy at the sa ti!
’Maintaining the vines that had already ford up and controlling them would cost slightly less, but...’
Having been prepared for this, I took out two potion bottles of different sides, one blue and one transparent. This strategy was only plausible thanks to the resources that I wasted the remainder of my points on, even then, consuming them this soon made feel the sting.
’Oh?’
However, as soon as I consud one shot while transferring my grudge to the demons, I felt the burden of consumption lessening considerably on both ends. Maintaining the field forever was still impossible, but it seed like I didn’t have to consu my entire stock of potions as planned!
’Finally!’
My surprise only lasted for a mont as I was precisely betting on this phenonon! Suppressing corruption of all kinds wasn’t simply the subconscious act of a dead field. Rather... the Green Mountain Range was alive!
