Chapter 164: A Mistake To Die For (Ch.164)

A chilling feeling of terror settled in Neveah’s heart, she knew exactly what was coming... she had always known this day would co again.

All Neveah had done was to avoid facing this sa fate for a second ti and even with all the efforts she expended, Neveah could not believe she was still back here again.

Neveah spared a glance around her, she had not taken a close look at her surrounding and so it was only now she realized how familiar the woods around her actually was.

It was the woods up in Mount Vernon, the very place Neveah had died.

"How can I be back here again...?" Neveah thought to herself in dismay.

"As I have said, you cannot escape your own fate Veah." Alessio replied to Neveah’s thoughts, his tone guttural.

Neveah’s eyes widened slightly to find Alessio could also hear her thoughts and it made it all the more apparent to her that this could not be possible.

"You..." Neveah began but paused, sucking in a deep breath.

’You are past this Veah...you are past this.’ Neveah reminded herself.

"You do not scare ." Neveah finally finished in a forced calm tone.

Alessio raised a single brow and took a step forward, this ti, Neveah did not retreat, she held her ground and stared Alessio right in the eye.

All the pain Neveah had suffered at the hands of this supposed mate of hers flashed through her mind and rage surged within Neveah’s heart.

Back then, Neveah did not dare speak up for herself or defend herself, but such tis had long passed by... Neveah was different this ti.

"You do not scare ." Neveah said again, her tone much firr and more convinced.

"Lies...how can you not fear your own nightmare?" Alessio hissed furiously.

Neveah scoffed at Alessio’s reaction and this ti, she was the one who took a step closer to him.

"Listen here, prince royal...you are a low life coward that attacked

from behind because you knew well enough you could never face

head on."

"You are a pathetic loser whose entire world crumbled at the realization that there was another with a claim to the throne just as you..." Neveah paused, chuckling quietly.

The more she spoke, the more she realized how true her words were.

All Alessio had done to her was simply because he was the one who was scared...

Terrified of how powerful she could beco, terrified of what she would take away from him, terrified of what he felt for her...

"You are the one who has always loved , Alessio...was that not the only reason you tortured

so much? To defy your feelings?" Neveah asked with a smirk.

"Daring of you to cast the blas of all your wrongs to . Did you hope I would crumble in fear so you may have your way as you did before?"

" Did you truly believe I was still so weak?!" Neveah hissed, taking another step closer to Alessio.

"I, Neveah... I am not the girl you knew, Alessio." Neveah clarified in a slow and firm tone, enunciating each word so Alessio heard it clearly.

"For an insignificant existence as you are...are you even worthy to call yourself my nightmare?!" Neveah growled out fiercely, her eyes flashing.

The rage surging within Neveah burned through her veins, reminding her that she was once a re spark but had now beco a roaring fla.

She was no longer soone who needed to bow her head to another for survival... with her might alone, Neveah would command her own fate.

Alessio was taken aback by Neveah’s reaction but Neveah was not done.

"Because of you... I learnt never to turn my back to another. You are a demon... this is true. But did you forget that you made

one too?"

"Between you and I, who do you reckon is the greater demon?" Neveah asked, her lips stretching to a grin.

"Do you really think you can pry my mind and weaken

with a mory of him?! Show

your true face!" Neveah snarled as she lunged forwards.

Her claws elongated, clasping around Alessio’s neck before he could even realize her movent.

Neveah’s eyes glowed, her wolf rising to the surface as she lifted Alessio off his feet by his neck and slamd him harshly against a tree.

"If you hope to manipulate my fears...you should not begin with soone I detest... because then, you will have to face my rage..." Neveah snarled.

Alessio struggled against Neveah’s grip but her claws tightened around his neck, squeezing the life out of him.

"Veah! It’s ... it’s Alessio..." Alessio wheezed, clawing at Neveah’s hands.

Neveah chuckled quietly, leaning closer to the face that was so familiar to her yet she knew it was rely an impersonation.

"I see you thought I would never be able to kill him...if you are in my mind, you should look closer and know that,"

" I have dreamt of ripping him to shreds every night of my life! For two lifetis!" Neveah roared in an animalistic growl.

"Did you really think I would fall for this flimsy spell? If you wish to impersonate the one I fear...then you must know him as I do first." Neveah whispered,

"Alessio Terran Lothaire never spoke so many words...all he wished to say, he would show ...in the most excruciating way possible." Neveah reminisced with a quiet chuckle.

"Like this...he would squeeze the life out of

slowly... without a word said, till I could do nothing but submit to his will..." Neveah continued leaning forward so she was right against Alessio’s ear.

"And then he would whisper to ...’nvi El Lut Kur’..."

"These words ant to remind ... that he would always co to ..." Neveah whispered in a low tone.

"But you see... I once believed he could never actually kill , but he did..."

"In the sa coin, I have vowed to myself...if ever I lay sight on that demon again, I will kill him." Neveah hissed in a nacing tone.

"You should have impersonated soone else... anyone else but him. For this mistake, you must die." Neveah finished with a smirk.
